For years I've been seeing Dr. Khanjian on TV and always told myself I need to be seen by him or his team. Well push comes to shove and I had the worst burning and heaving feeling in my eyes. I made an urgent appointment and saw Dr. Mary, I have to say I don't know that the eyes can have so many different techniques of an exam. With the basic exam that they provide to everyone I felt that I got the platinum package. Know that even if your prescription is off by a little bit can really damage your eyesight and can make your day-to-day living not a pleasant one. Honestly the doctor isn't bad she helped me out last time and everything was fine, but the office staff called me to come in for a appointment I did not make. I cleared the time to come in and then she says ohhh I'm sorry your insurance only covers one visit a year and this was going to be $150 for a exam that cost $50 everywhere else. If they clearly saw my insurance why did no one think to call me and explain was this a bait and switch idk. I was looking to get a new oversized clear frame glasses and Dr. Khanjian recommended my new favorite pair of glasses. A designer brand from Japan called DITA. Never heard of it but I get compliments left and right over this frame! Dr. Khanjian: Extremely professional and you can tell even behind a mask he just always has a smile on his face. I love the fact that he genuinely cares for his patients in terms of their eye sight and their overall satisfaction! I was peppering him with questions about my Dad's Cataracts or our family's genetic history with our specific eye conditions and he was offering fantastic advice and you could tell he wasn't trying to shoo me out the door to see his next patient. He took a lot of time to answer my questions and needs. That is a sign of a top rated doctor. In addition, I can tell by the way he moves around the office and how he busy he is how respected and sought after he is by his patients and his surrounding communities. Visited Dr Khanjian's office, who was able to accommodate my request to be seen today, even though I did not have an appointment and I was a new patient. I needed eye care as an emergency. He was prompt, caring, efficient, examined my eyes, diagnosed the problem, explained the course of action that he recommended, gave me specific instructions on how to use the prescription eye drops. Furthermore, he was kind enough to use samples of the RX drops he prescribed to get me started. He was not in a hurry to see me and leave the room for the assistant. Thank you Dr Khanjian. I was recommended by my PCP to make an appt here. It's been about 4 years since I haven't seen an Optemetrists. I have to say, just when you step in the door was greeted by Anoush. This facility is incredibly modern, clean, and has an overall amazing vibe. When I arranged my appointment, I was expecting something similar to a doctor's waiting room, but when I walked in, I was perplexed. I was greeted right away by the front desk, checked in, and filled out paperwork quickly. I love that they have so many places to sit, also having 70in TV to watch while you wait. The appointment was simple and well-organized. The technician that assisted me was really knowledgeable and made certain that the machines used for the initial eye scans were clean. The examining rooms were so spacious! For any person you bring, they have an extra chair in the room. Dr. Atenesyan has excellent bedside manners and provided a thorough introduction, assessment, and explanation. Choosing glasses was far out of my league, especially for someone who has always had 20/20 vision. I still have 20/20 vision, but I needed something to block out blue light and protect my eyes from the brightness of screens, as we all know we spend much too much time staring at them. However, the Secretary lady was extremely helpful and thorough, explaining what my insurance would cover and calculating everything for each pair of glasses I was considering. I didn't want to be stuck with a large cost, so thank you. I do recommended calling to make an appointment because I'm not sure if they do get the online requests. Dr. Harout Khanijian, all I'm gonna say is the best OD I have ever encountered by far, his front office staff is very professional and very informative about everything you have to ask the staff. The two ladies at the front were very cool chicks and very well spoken, the guy that helped me out was surgical technician there he had stated and went over everything he had to do to my eyes even before the dr. came in he reassured me I was in good hands as of now, and that gentleman held his word cause the service was more than I could ever expect, they had everything u can imagine right there in the office they offer glasses and contacts and to say the least my appt was at 2pm and i was seen at my appt time with no wait time which was a huge plus for my eyes and I right now.. I highly recommend this office and highly recommend the DR in general, he is very thorough with his work amd procedures and did not rush and made sure everything possible my eyes were fine and will be fine after all the emergencies i had to go through to get to this office. It is behind and across from the walgreens on sherman way inside of a doctors towers building with plenty of structure parking behind and in front. Office was very very neat and clean to my liking. At an establishment like this, I will have no problem spending my money here knowing it's truly worth every penny and he's just know rushing me in and out. December 2021 was my first visit to this office, and I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, and etiquette that both Dr. Harout and his staff displayed. Dr. Harout's "bedside manner" is stellar! I appreciated how incredibly thorough he was and how patient and attentive he was to answer every single question and concern that I had. By far he has been the best eye doctor I have ever been to! I would absolutely recommend California Eye Center. I applaud this office with the work that they are doing and in the manner that they do it in. I wish I could recall the assistant's name that greeted me and prepped me prior to the Dr. coming in. I found Dr. Khanjian on yelp and decided to go and schedule my appointment with his office. At the very start this experience was a nightmare. His staff put me on hold and told me that they will call me back and they took a look time to follow up. This is one of the worst front desk staffs around. That really makes me worry ... because they are also the staff that handle the medical paperwork. That should of been my indication not go here. Dr. Khanjian on first presentation is a professional but he is truly not. He made some comments towards my wife that shocked me and I rather not go into detail because of retaliation from him and his office. Could not speak highly enough of this office. Receptionist, assistants, doctor were friendly, knowledgeable, and I felt completely taken care of. Top of the line equipment. And a thorough explanation with videos and all. I felt very confident and at peace before going into surgery. I'm writing this the day after my lasik surgery. The surgery took place in Pasadena at the California lasik center. The office, staff, and surgeon were equally beautiful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Good music was playing during the surgery which definitely help pass the (very short) time. I felt 100% after a 4 hour nap. Today my eyes feel great. I can see perfectly and there's very, very little redness. The excellent and friendly service even extends to Cory, who handled the payment over the phone. I came to Dr. Khanjian first time in 2014, complaining that I can not see far enough and mostly after dusk it is harder to drive. That was my first time for eye visit and I was impressed of process of eye exam :). I usually did it in Costco or similar places and even never new that eye exam has to be done so detailed has has been done in Dr. Khanjian office using state of the art equipment for that time. I was impressed with all details provided for my eye health and vision. Anyway. At that time my age was below 40 and for my complains doctor suggested to wait until I get older and than to do surgery (because when man pass 40 year edge eyes starting to change their vision, and you start seeing far better, but loosing closeup vision). And he gave me good eyeglasses which I used after dusk when I was driving and was happy with that. Now I'm 42. I came to doctor again on July 26 and did eye exam. I was happy that equipment is now upgraded to another level! A lot of new features and more deep and automated exams. Again impressed. Nice to know that Dr. Khanjian is alway keeping his exam and treatment equipment on highest level. Back to results :). My vision has not been changed within 4 years and after consulting with doctor I decided to do eye surgery (LASIK). I was lucky, there was free spot in schedule (somebody cancelled his surgery) and on July 28 I did surgery in California LASIK Center, Pasadena. It was very fast and easy. As Dr. Khanjian has already sent all exam results and recommendations to California LASIK center. 5 hours later (after surgery) I could see perfectly! I came to Dr. Khanjian and they did after surgery checkups. Dr. Khanjian gave me after surgery medication and instructions. And after month I came for my final checkup and ..... I HAVE PERFECT EYES THANKS TO DR. Khanjian (California Eye Center, eye doctor) and Dr. Shultz (California LASIK center, surgery doctor). I, highly recommend, if you have eye problems, definitely go to California Eye Center for detailed Exam and treating. Detailed eye exam is most important thing for future eye health! I've been to a lot of optometrist in my life since I've worn contacts since I was 16 (currently 35) but I have never met an optometrist with such empathy, care and professionalism as Dr. Atanesyan. I had PRK done a couple of years ago and every morning since, I had extremely dry eyes. I mean it was so bad that I had to open them with my fingers at times. I went to a few different optometrist for overall an eye health exam and to figure out a solution to my dry eyes. They all just gave me eye drops (which only helped temporarily) and I just assumed it was something I'd have to live with. I found this office online, made an appointment and went to the office. The office itself is very large with plenty of seating and very clean. The receptionists were very professional and pleasant to speak with. During my examination with Dr. Atanesyan, he examined my eyes very thoroughly (with a variety of new tests and machines I had never seen before). Afterwards, he sat me down to discuss my dry eyes. He VERY clearly explained what was happening and what needed to be done to relieve the dryness for good. I went home, followed his advice and no more opening my eyes with my fingers every morning!
