My new floor tile has a pattern, and the backsplash tiles were 2.4" x 8" ceramic hand glaze ceramic tiles, and so neither would be easy to install unless the tile installer was very skilled. I thought the review photos on Yelp showed Eliab already has an extensive body of work done well, and I loved that he specializes in tile so I knew that he should be very competent at it. And he and his guys Salvi and Rafael were excellent! They worked hard and did very precise work. That was a ton of cuts and joints to line up perfectly with all that subway tile, and it looks wonderful. The cuts around light switches and power receptacles: also precise. He was as good as his word about showing up, doing it right, and cleaning up as they went. He earned my trust, was good to work with, and I would happily hire him again. I definitely recommend! I will post pictures for now as is - but keep in mind the construction is still going on so they will not look as great as they should. I'll try to remember to update our photos when the remodel is truly done.

We wanted a slab in our breezeway but needed it done so the slab was sloped AWAY from the workshop to avoid any water going into the building. They did the complete opposite and sloped the concrete TOWARDS the workshop so badly it will have to be removed to avoid any water damage. After the concrete had dried we could see just how badly the slope was. We tried talking to Jorge the owner about the bad job they had done and They offered to remove the slab but for a big price, which was even higher than what they charged us for the slab install. Such a disappointment. After repeatedly asking if they were going to make sure the slab would not slope towards the workshop They agreed that it would be just what we asked for. The slope is so high and so bad we can't even open our doors completely. The owner and his son seemed like honest genuine guys. My husband even bought them lunch both days they were here. Not knowing what we were going to be left with. They have refused to take any responsibility for this terrible job and they actually want more money to fix THEIR MISTAKE! I was not satisfied with way the master bathroom tile in the shower and floor turned out. Big gaps in the grout and against the floorboards, no apologies, and just excuses. Also, wasn't happy that I didn't receive the vanity we discussed-- I requested a floating vanity and was told that was what I was getting, but that is not what was delivered. The workers left a pile of their meal garbage in the work area each day and left garbage from the work they did scattered throughout the front yard. Such a mess! I expected better time management. They started my job-- but then I guess they have other jobs that were deemed more important so my project dragged on much longer than expected. Since the real estate market was so volatile, I believe the delays costs us money when we were finally able to get the house on the market. I also expected the Rojas Family Tile would handle payment processing in a more professional manner. Asking me to lie on PayPal or Venmo by stating this was a "friends & family" transaction is not a professional business practice. Processing fees are part of your business expenses-- I know because I have run several businesses. Hopefully, things have improved with Rojas Family Tile since we used them in 2021. But based on my experience with them, I wouldn't recommend them.
