ATS is much more than a translation service - which is not reflected in their listing in YELP. They also provide notary related services and file papers to the consulate on your behalf, as well as internationally mail the prepared documents. It's an excellent one stop station to resolve numerous issues. My case was quite complex. I had to send the Power of Attorney to my father in Russia, using my old Russian name, rather than my current American name, while not possessing any valid Russian ID (my Russian passports expired long time ago). ATS was the only organization in LA that agreed to produce such POA. All the other notaries wanted to file the POA by my current name and accompany it with the apostil of the proof of the name change - which would significantly complicate the legal matters for my father in Russia. Yana, the office manager of ATS, kindly consulted me on my options to resolve the problem, and assisted in filing a request to restore my Russian citizenship, as well as advised on improving the POA filing by including the extra documents. Also, using the ATS DHL account proved to be a more economical option than to mail the documents by myself. ATS would be my first place to contact in any situation that would involve filing documents to Russia. Their staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and nice. I'm very surprised these guys had only one review on yelp, so I decided to add mine. When I was looking for a place to translate my university transcripts, I found only 3 companies in LA. I needed it done within 4-5 days max. Called every single one, and left voicemails... The rep from Advanced Translation Services called me back within 15 min, sent me the quote to my email right away.. But I decided to wait and compare the prices with the other two companies I found ( just to be sure not to get overcharged)... As it turned out I didn't have to waste my time since their PRICE, LEVEL OF PROFESSIONAL TRANSLATION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ARE EXCELLENT!!! 2 transcripts (4 pages) cost me $125, and they were ready in 2 days after I placed the order. P.S. I'm still getting soliciting phone calls from ABCtranslate. Their quote for my transcripts was $284... Obviously those guys charge per page, and not per document..
