Avoid This Shop at All Costs!!! I took my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee to Advanced Transmissions in January 2025 for a transmission rebuild, and it has been an absolute nightmare. I paid $4544.36, and after FIVE failed repair attempts, my vehicle is still not working properly. 1) Multiple Delays & False Promises: I was told the repair would take one week, but the shop kept delaying it, claiming it would be ready "tomorrow" On 02/11/2025, after waiting nearly three weeks, I went to the shop in person and was told they didn't even have the parts yet. 2) Vehicle Broke Down Immediately After Repair: I got my car back on 02/13/2025, but it broke down immediately and had to be towed back to the shop. They blamed an oil leak for causing an electrical short and "fixed" only for the same thing to happen again the very next day. 3) Misdiagnosis & Unnecessary Repair Charges: After failing to fix the issue, they told me the PCM was bad and quoted me another $1,500. I refused and took my car to another shop for a second opinion. Turns out, the PCM was fine the real issue was a loose ground wire and an improper installation of the transmission 4) Faulty Rebuild Confirmed by a Second Shop: The second shop found that Advanced Transmissions did not properly bolt the transmission back in place, failed to seal it correctly (causing leaks), and left my vehicle shifting worse than before. They recommended another full rebuild, meaning I was charged $5,000 for unnecessary work After showing Advanced Transmissions LLC these findings and requesting a refund, they refused, saying they "did a good job" and that my only option was to bring it back under warranty. Why would I trust them again after FIVE failed attempts? DO NOT trust this shop with your vehicle. They misdiagnose issues, perform sloppy work, and refuse to take responsibility when their repairs fail. If you value your time and money, go somewhere else and I mean anywhere else. read more

A terrible experience. Three tries to fix my car and five weeks to finally get it right. They also broke my windshield while my car was in their custody. They refused to fix it. Told me to prove it was them. The woman working the counter talks a good game but doesn't return phone calls, doesn't call back when she says she's going to, we always had to track her down. A few weeks ago we took our vehicle to this business. The reason for taking it in was to find out about a noise we were hearing. We took it on a Friday and didn't hear back, so it was there all weekend. I called on Monday to find out the problem and was told an employee had run some diagnostics but they needed to wait until he reported back. I got a call later that they would have to open the transmission to figure out the issue. I asked about the cost and they said the labor would be 1850. Plus any parts needed. Erin at the front said she would call with the estimate and let me know what was needed. I never got a quote. They had our vehicle for two weeks. They have a lot of issues with their phone system. It says not completed as dialed or disconnected. The communication was so poor. When we did get our vehicle back, the bill was 4477.00 and the noise was still there. We couldn't bring ourselves to take it back to them. So we took it to the dealership and within an hour they said the noise was the alternator so we had it replaced and problem was solved. The dealership feels that we had a bunch of transmission work done that may have been needed. I spoke with Dillion at Advanced and he told me that the converter was running hot and the repair was necessary. It takes a lot to impress me when it comes to auto repair shops. Had to have the transmission rebuilt in my truck this week. I called around and took it to 3 different repair shops every one of them charged me to get a diagnostic and quoted me $7500 or more to fix it. The 4th shop took my word and quoted me $6500 to fix. All of them also said I would be without my truck for at least a week. I took it to the 4th shop, Advanced transmission, yesterday and added an oil change and both fuel filters changed and I got it back today for $6500 and it's running better than ever. I know I don't know many people down here but I like to give a shout out when one is due. read more

Consumer Beware!! Our vehicle was in for warranty work on our transmission. Once again, it was in the shop for a whole month!! We still don't know if the parts are OEM or after market. The owners are absent and have so called "adults" running their shop. When we stopped in to check on our vehicle they had rap music playing with the "F" bomb blaring. The receptionist is totally clueless!! When I finally picked up my vehicle on a late Friday and drove it home, I noticed my engine was making a knocking sound. Monday we took it to a mechanic we trusted who found a broken hose, that if the "mechanics" had drove my vehicle at all should have noticed. This shop is totally and utterly pathetic!!!!!!! We used to own our own shop. We were never absent from our shop. We took pride in our business and what others said and thought about us. This is not the case with this shop. Stay away.... read more

Professional, courteous and most of all honest. Establishing trust with an auto mechanic is tough and from day one I felt like I could trust advanced transmission. I brought my wife's car in and it looked like the fuel pump was going to need to be replaced...after running a ton of tests over a couple of days, I was told that the harness might need to be replaced, but at the end of it all, just a few connections were re-spliced and I was charged next to nothing. Car has ran great ever since. Recently I had to bring my vehicle in and Erin remembered us and got me vehicle addressed right away. Couldn't appreciate it more and would recommend advanced to everyone. Advanced also supports our vehicle fleet at my job and the opinion is the same as mine. Great place! read more
