We had a line blockage on Thanksgiving Day that forced us to relocate our entire 16 person dinner to my sister-in-law's place in the next town over. We subsequently had our line hydro-jetted by another company who provided a quote to repair a partially collapsed section of the line. The quote was high enough to warrant two other quotes, one of which was Advanced Trenchless (AT). I decided to choose AT for several reasons: first, they provided the Goldilocks quote that was not too high but not questionably low like the third quote; second, they narrowed the scope to just the collapsed part, not the whole section of crawl space behind it as the first one quoted; and lastly, I got a call from Ryan, one of the owners, who explained the unknowns and also confirmed that a permit was required, which the last quote omitted. Also, he was willing to accommodate my schedule after the holidays. As others here have noted, AT's team are true professionals. They showed up first thing in the morning, were prepared, polite and zeroed in on the exact location that needed to be addressed. I hovered some to try to understand the mysteries of outdoor plumbing, learning that work done on a past remodel was not done properly. The fix was quicker than I was expecting. Everything went smoothly, including the Central San inspection, before they closed up the space around the new pipe and cleanout, leaving everything tidy, even putting back a section of shrub that needed to be moved. Last week I stopped to talk with a crew from Advanced Trenchless who were restoring a neighbors 60 year old sewer line using the Pipe Bursting method. I found the crew very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous so I asked for a visit to check out our aging sewer line. Christian Rico, stopped by today to inspect our 125 ft. sewer line to the street. . He allowed me to watch the entire video inspection and found the line is still is acceptable condition with some minor root intrusion. Rico is very suggested we contract Advanced Trenchess to clean and video inspect our line annually due to its age. A great option for peace of mind at a very reasonable $275 a year. read more

We called a large name company to come help clean the line and they provided a camera inspection all for $500 Much to our disbelief, the quote for the sewer lateral was close to $35,000! After shopping around and doing a Yelp search we were lucky to find Advanced Trenchless! They came out, performed a free inspection and quoted us less than 25% of what the large named company quoted. Based on very good Yelp reviews I requested contact from Advanced through the chat on its website. The next day, I called and left a message to please give me a call back. When I called a second time I spoke with a live person who agreed to have them call me back between 8 and 8:30 the next morning. Despite these three contacts I never received a call back. Update Aug 4, 2023 I found out that they actively manage customer reviews by reaching out to what is perceived as unfavorable reviews. Maybe that is why their review rating more favorable than they should be? - 1 star to counter this effect. They pointed out that they would not force the work upon the customers when they are on site and the on site quote is free. OK fine. I am sure also understand that the tenancy is that they would get the job when they are there already even though the price is higher. That may be a sound business practice, but something customers should keep in mind. So just be aware. They also pointed out that not having the opportunity to be on site yielded a higher quote. Sounds reasonable. However, the job was very straightforward, simple, and clearly defined with photos of the work to be done. How complicate can replacing a kitchen faucet be in a track home? It is not a historical building with non standard plumbing nor a fancy home like the billionaires have. Maybe it is not the same as being onsite, but for small jobs, I can't really see what else they can glean out of being physically there. To their point though, they quoted a range of up to 4 hours for the job. So theoretically, they could get it done in one hour and is therefore on par with other quotes. OK. Maybe they are honest and they are just sandbagging? +1 star to give them benefit of doubt. You know what? The world is going the sh*ts. This company is so reliable! We had a challenging property where we needed a camera to take a look at a 300 ft. sewer line. They brought a thick cable line with a camera on the end and were able to film the whole line (even though they thought the line was only 200 ft. long it was longer). Christian Rico was the technician and he was very capable and professional. And the office staff managed to squeeze me in for an urgent situation. I highly recommend Advanced Trenchless. We were in a very tight spot involving 3 residences, and an ancient conjoined sewer line running under one of the residences and leaking, creating a toxic health hazard! This was by no means a small, simple project, and it was complicated by a time constraint as house guests were expected in roughly 2 weeks! Contra Costa Sanitary District insisted that the old line had to be replaced and re-routed. As a result my neighbor and I agreed to share the cost of re-routing 2 separate sewer lines through my backyard. Advanced Trenchless not only did everything they said they could do, but Ryan Charles and his team were efficient, on-time, friendly and courteous. Ryan was always responsive and available and helped me jump through several hoops that popped up, such as, a survey of the new sewer lines, recording with the County, and 2 trips to the Notary. In the end, the new sewers were hooked up the day before our family arrived. The trench was filled in and compacted and everything was returned to the state it was before work started! I personally hope I don't need to deal with my sewer line ever again, BUT if I did, I would certainly contact Advanced Trenchless! Very happy with the service and interaction with staff. I was having sewer clogging on a yearly basis. I had Advanced Trenchless come out and try to snake the clog and no luck. They recommended a hydro-jetting (a very pricey procedure) but had to get it done - to do camera inspection to see the problem. They recommended at some point to repair or replace the rooted pipes. At that time I couldn't justify a big expense. Hydro-jet lasted over six months and clog came back. A T did an inspection for free again and sewer main line was getting worse. So we went ahead with the trenchless procedure to replace the whole sewer line. They were kind enough to partially credit me what I spent on Hydro-jetting. They handled all the work permits. Work is done - Juan the foreman and his crew did a great job - very professional and kept me in the loop! I'm also delighted with the interactions I had with the office staff; Leah and Alexis. I have only superlatives to say about Advanced Trenchless. We had a 70-year old terracotta sewer lateral that was cracked in several places and leaking into our garden. The line ran directly under our rose bed and we had no intention of digging up the entire garden. To make matters even more complicated, our sewer lateral terminated at the main sewer line under our neighbor's backyard! The entire Advanced Trenchless team worked to the highest standard. Starting with the estimator, Rico, and then the project manager, Art, communication was excellent. They did a great job accommodating the needs of both our schedule and our neighbor's. An additional bonus was the great relationship the team had with the county sewer district inspector. When it came time for the job itself, the team was led by Juan, who's attention to detail was unparalleled. After the team hand dug a 6 foot deep hole in our yard and almost a 9 foot deep hole in our neighbor's yard, the work went very smoothly. Kudos also to Isidro, Marcos, Gustavo, Michael, and James for the excellent job. I was in need of plumbing service to relocate my utility sink; it was in a bad spot, obstructing everything in the garage. I sought several quotes, however, they all seemed quite high and many of them were unable to provide a clear answer as to how long it would take to complete the job. They were basically playing with my time and stringing me along. I dislike the bs. I got a call from Advanced Trenchless on Yelp. They were one of several who reached out directly, and they were not even on my list of plumbers to call. The admin booked a appt. The plumber they sent, Jared, showed up on time, and he was a straight shooter. Again, no bs. He told me what's up, and how long the job will actually take. The reason for my 5 star: 1) no bs; 2) he was very friendly; 3) knowledgeable; 4) he showed me everything about my own house as in where the shut off valves are, the hot water tank, how to identify problems and leaks, and the crawl space; 5) he got it done in a couple hrs. I can tell you that I finally gave up trying to salvage my clay pipe and go forward with replacing the clean out and sewer. I was so busy working at my job and traveling the past few weeks that I never met them when they did the estimate nor was I there when they did the actual work (I showed up when they were wrapping up). They were so efficient, professional, clean and effective. I am so glad that I went with this group, and they guaranteed their work far longer than the competition. Like a few other reviewers, I called Advanced Trenchless after a big-name company told me I needed some repairs for my sewer lateral and quoted me $16,000 for the work. Advanced Trenchless not only came out to inspect the line and offer a quote for free (several other companies wanted to charge me $250 for an inspection before they'd give me a quote), but they gave me the best news: The big-name company had done a poor inspection and most of the things they called out weren't really problems. The minor root intrusion could be kept under control with regular cleanouts (which makes sense, it had worked fine for years, and the supposed defects would not have been new). When asked what they'd charge for the work the big-name company had quoted, they estimated about half. I think I've got about 5-10 years left on the line, but when it's time to be replaced, Advanced has got my business. read more

Since we purchased our home in 2019 we've had yearly issues with our old clay sewer pipes backing up. We recently had a bad backup that another pluming company wasn't able to clear. I reached out to Advanced trenchless to get an estimate for trenchless lateral. Nick confirmed that the pipes were severely backed up and possibly collapsed. My city offers reimbursement for qualifying new sewer lateral installs, which initially, I didn't qualify for. The office team offered to help us by getting Nick to come back to clear the clog and camera record the sewer line to verify it was collapsed, and sent the video to the sewer district on my behalf. After doing so the city ended up approving the reimbursement. This provided a substantial cost savings for us. Juan and his crew did an amazing job with our install. They completed the demolition, pipe install, and concrete install in less than 8 hours. They did clean work and made sure to leave the property the way it was before they showed up.
