The reason why I didn't give five stars was because the front desk is a little slow and bad at communicating with each other. once I went to pick up my dog and some lady (who was on her computer to the right and was kinda rude) said she'll let them know and we should sit and wait... I waited for 15 minutes and saw people after me pick up their dog before me! My boyfriend then went to ask a different person about how much longer and the girl said she didn't know anything about that but she'll do the paperwork for us and let the back know or something... meaning the first Lady we talked to didn't even do anything! like c'mon, really? After talking to the second girl, we picked up our dog in no time! Super upset that the other Lady didn't even help and wasted our time! Even though I gave four stars to the place in general, I give five stars to Erin and the surgeon that cared for my dog. Erin is the best! She cares so much about my dog and isn't scared to approach him. My dog is a cute Aussie named topaz and he barks/ growl at strangers. I'm pretty sure everyone at this place is scared of my dog because he comes off really aggressive but they should understand that some aussies are very over protective of their owner and since I'm his owner, he's very aggressive to anyone coming close to me. He does so well without me around because my other vet at Banfield said he kept wanting to cuddle up with him! Anyways, Erin told me how he was barking in the corner of his cage and no one wanted to go get him so she did and he ended up laying between her legs afterwards! It means a lot that she isn't scared to approach my dog because if you're working at a vet hospital, you can't just only choose to work with only nice dogs. You gotta be brave and treat every dog the same! Erin also gave me tips and places to help my dog's aggressive behavior and was so kind! Also, I read reviews about how some doctors are cold to their dogs but I've been having check ups for him with a surgeon... his name is either Paul or Andrew (according to my email from them) but he has glasses and I believe he's blonde... honestly I can't remember.. but he is super good with topaz and he explains things very throughly! He even draws pictures for me to understand. He's also not scared of topaz and that makes me very happy because he shouldn't be afraid of any dog (to an extent)! read more

My dog died at this hospital after being told by the vets that he was stable and doing fine. Our dog was admitted on a Sunday evening. He was viciously attacked by another dog. We were told that they would do surgery on him and give him pain medication. When I called that same evening, they did not do surgery. They said they were waiting until tomorrow. Everytime I called to check on him, they gave me very little information "he's stable" and "he's ok" was all they ever said. The next day our little dog died. They called my Dad (the legal owner) but he missed their call. I called them about 2 hours later "Hello, just calling to check up on my dog."... The receptionist "Your dog vomited. Went into cardiac arrest and died. I'm so sorry.".... I'm still in disbelief. We were advised to come and pick up his body. When we arrived, they were very cold and rude to us. "Come to the back to pick him up".. It was like he was just a box of pizza or something. We were never greeted by a doctor. All they did was give us our dog. Make us sign papers and then tell us we owed the $1300. I kind of wonder if they knew he would die but insisted to keep him 1 more night so that they could rack up our bill. Once they received payment we were out of there with a huge debt and no dog :( I DON'T recommend this hospital. The staff were very cold and there was not much transparency. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. They are incompetent and idiots.There staff is extremely rude and so are the Doctors. We took our Dog in because he had a cyst on his prostate that had to be removed.After surgery and paying 3,000 he was sent home with pain pills that totally knocked him out, I called on a Sunday saying my dog was urinating all over and they told me it was no big deal. Each time you call you are put on hold for at least 20 minutes and you never talk to a doctor.Wed our dog was leaking fluid out of his incision ( I mean it was running out) so we again took our dog in was told it was no big deal until he left a puddle of fluid on the floor,when my husband ask for a mop and the staff saw the puddle he was rushed in the back but you are not allowed to go with him so you are stuck waiting. Then after an hour they came out and had no answers for us but was told we had to leave him so the surgery Doctor could see him in the morning. 1,000. more and they still had no idea where the fluid was coming from every question we ask was I don't really know so for over 4,000. we have a dog that is leaking fluid and we are headed to see our regular Vet. Please if you love your pet don't take them here all they want is more money and will tell you anything to get it. read more

This place doesn't deserve any stars. I brought my year old Siamese cat in due to blood in urine. They ended telling us he couldn't pee much for the test yet still charged us for a test and prescribed anti-inflammatories, pain medication and special food. I believe they should've let him drink some water or call us to ask if we wanted to pump him with fluids for a more accurate test. After his meds and food were done the problem arrises again and we take him in. Only for them to tell us that the first test said he had high red blood cell count and crystals in his bladder. WHICH WE WERE NOT INITIALLY TOLD... we would've just came in to get another prescription instead of more tests the second time around. They tried to upsell basically everything they could. More tests more fluids the second time around? why wasn't this the motive initially? Also and most importantly the proper procedure for what we paid for is to have the urine extracted from our cat for proper testing.. yet they say they just let him pee on the table and used that and included that there's bacteria on the table and may make test inconclusive. Not very attentive and not very great at communicating unless you're brought back into a room after you've paid for a bunch of shit that probably won't help. Don't go here! read more

Don't ever take your animal to this evil place. My baby was a teacup yorkie named coco. My baby was accidentally dropped by my daughter. I rushed her to AVC and they took my baby from me. The vet came in and told me right off the bat that they needed $2500 from me before they can help her. They said she may have water on her brain and that her blood pressure was low that they needed to keep her their for a couple of days. I asked her if I could see her and they were very hesitant to let me see her. They said that she was in ICU in an oxygen cage. I insisted that I went back and seen her. She is only 1.50 lbs and they had the degree set at 60° I told the vet she was freezing that she needed to be at a temperature of 71° and no lower. She looked so cold and was shivering. I asked her will you please help her and take care of her and they told me that they needed the money first. What kind of a animal doctor would do this. So they got their money and I asked them to take her blood pressure again to see if it went up so i could take her home and take care of her until I can take her into another doctor. She told me that she needed to stay their over night. I then said I wanted to see her again and I went back again she looked so lost and scared and I told my baby I would be back in the morning to get her and I told her I loved her. I got a call about 2 hrs later and the vet said I did X-rays on her lungs and they are bruised and she had water on her lungs, That her brain didn't have water on it. The stupid vet said she needed to be on oxygen for at least four days. I told her I would be their first thing in the morning. Well I got a call about 6 in the morning saying my baby's lungs collapsed and t She passed away. They killed my baby! They got $2500 dollars from us and killed my baby and left me and my family heart broken. I asked them at first if they were educated in small dogs and they looked at me like I was stupid. They had no sympathy towards us not one bit. Our princess died from an uneducated vet that keep my baby cold and loneliness. I'm a big believer in karma and for all the animals they let suffer and the family's they left heart broken. Karma will get them! Please please don't make the same mistake I made and don't take your animals here. read more

Glad this place is here for its location and convenience of 24 hr vet care without appointments. Bummed that I paid $140 to find out that my dog does NOT have any urinary problems, but just pees because she's nervous, but they did their job, ran her tests, and listened to me. I called in advance of my visit to ask if an appointment is necessary or helpful and they said "No, just walk in and we'll see you!" That made me think wait time would be short, but it was about an hour wait after arriving. I don't think I would return to AVC for non-emergency care, but it will definitely be my go-to if an emergency ever arises. read more

I never write reviews but after the unacceptable experience I had here I feel like it's needed. Two weeks ago June 28 in the morning about 10am I was out in the backyard with my small dog Bubba, who's 8, and his sister and dad. He and his sister were running along the back fence chasing the neighbor dogs on the other side. A little while later he sits by me like nothing's wrong and I look over at him and he has a big laceration by his left shoulder. He sliced himself open about 2 1/2 -3 " long on a piece of metal wire on the fence. It didn't go any deeper than the skin. I usually take him to Hunter Animal Hospital but they are closed on Sundays. On their site they recommend Advanced Veterinary Care for emergencies. I was worried about infection and didn't think it was something that could wait til Monday when Hunter Animal Hospital was open. when I got there I had to wait in the car due to COVID restrictions and they were great at first. Someone came to check on him to see if it it was urgent which it wasn't so we had to to wait. We only waited about an hour before they came to take him so the doctor could see him. Dr. Billy Blumberg called me to tell me the plan was to put in stitches and he was really friendly over the phone and made it sound like the procedure would take about an hour but they weren't able to start right away. I figured it'd be a couple hours because they were busy and they're an ER so I ran errands for an hour and came back and waited for a little over another hour and still hadn't heard anything. I called them to get an update and they put me on hold, in the meantime someone called and left me a voicemail so I hung up and listened to it. They said Bubba was doing fine but they hadn't started yet. I called back and talked to someone and told them it's been a couple hours and wanted to know approximately how much longer before they got started. They gave me the whole thing about they're an ER so even though my dog is important, critical patients come first and that Dr. BIumberg is the main trauma doctor so he can't be pulled away to put in stitches but they said they would check with someone.(honestly I'm shocked that it sounds like no one else knows how to put in stitches there) I was put on hold and the person who left me the voicemail answered. She asked me if I got the voicemail(she sounded kind of bugged). I said yes but I didn't want to drive home(which is about 20-25 min drive) if they were going to get started soon. She tells me to go ahead and head home because she's unable to give me an estimate. Up until this point I was pretty patient but driving home I was getting livid! Not only is it nearing the 3 hour mark but my dog is inside all alone and doesn't know what's going on. Before I even took him in, I debated about taking him to my dad(retired EMT Firefighter) and having him just stitch Bubba up. Bubba wasn't whining or in pain so he would've been fine. But I thought the vet would probably be the best place. THREE HOURS LATER!!! It's about 6:30pm at this point and I no one has called me. I call them and they tell me they're just about to start and it'll be less than an hour. I go ahead and head on over there and they bring him out to me about 7:30pm and charge me about $500. He's pretty sleepy and the rest of the night and even the next day he pretty much just laid around and his sister was leaving him alone. Tuesday morning I look closely at his stitches and one is untied and a couple others are coming undone. It hasn't even been two days and they're coming out! I tried to tighten them up and then wrapped an ace wrap around to protect them better and I continue to watch him. Wednesday morning I take the wrap off and 4 of them are unknotted(that's half of the stitches). Went back to AVC and told the tech that took Bubba that I wanted to make sure I wasn't paying for this since it was their mistake. A couple hours later they call and want to charge me about $60 for a re-check and staples. I asked them why I had to pay and the woman on the phone told me when it's a post-op complication it's usually the owner's fault. I was pissed! I made sure to watch my dog. If it was my fault I would've said so. I work closely with the ER in the hospital I work at. They get stroke patients, heart-attacks, full-arrests, traumas and NEVER has anyone had to wait almost 7 hours for stitches. They don't even wait half that time. Although the staff seem friendly at AVC, they clearly don't have a sense of urgency when it comes to minor injuries and don't care about taking responsibility for their poor work and would rather put the blame on the owners so they can charge them more. They clearly need practice on sutures. I've told everyone I know to never bring their dogs here. Maybe if the pet was actually dying would AVC care more. read more

I have spent thousands of dollars at AVC on various pets over the years and recently I took a rescue dog in because he was losing a lot of weight and having other digestive problems. The Vet talked me into exploratory surgery which fortunately went well. However, it's been over 15 days and I cannot get them to call me with the results of the tests or any parodical to follow to start to help him. His stay cost almost $5K and they cannot take the time to let me know the results. I have even asked my regular Vet to try and get hold of them for some results and even he can't seem to get them to call back. I will never use them again. read more

This place is only worried about how much you can pay , not about good medical care for your animal. Two days later she collapsed and we brought her back, they would only treat her if we paid $1500 up front They misdiagnosed her initially and then we had to pay over $2000 Unfortunately she did not make it. And the doctor was a real jerk, he should be in some laboratory , not taking care of animals or their families. He was as cold as ice, no empathy or caring at all. He can perform the autopsies on the pets he kills, or cleaning cages, not giving medical care. NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN. On saturday i woke up to my dog unable to use her back end. I took her to avc and per x rays she had a blown disk which looks to be pretty old. (she was moving, playing and happy and eating that morning too) They wanted to do an MRI so they admitted her into their care. Well the MRI was pushed into sunday morning and they had her on such a high dose of meds. Sunday comes and I get a call that the surgeon couldnt come in sunday either for the MRI and that it would need to wait until monday. I went to visit sunday afternoon and my baby seemed so sedated and was really hot. ( Might I add again, she didnt need that high dose of pain meds, since it had been blown for awhile and her normal arthritis meds were doing the trick) She could have had alot less of a dose of pain meds. I told the tech she was running really hot and the tech blew me off. Well I called for an update hours later and i was told she had a fever that was sky rocketing and that she was needing to be put on oxygen. I rush down there (45 minutes away) to visit. she was so disoriented and upset and they gave her even more pain meds and she couldnt even wake up at that point. I wasnt allowed to stay much longer so I insisted they call with any change. Monday morning comes and I get a call she passed away from respiratory arrest. SHE WASNT EVEN SICK WHEN I DROPPED HER OFF!!! and she died of something completely different than what she was there for. No one bothered to call that she had a temp rising. By the time i got there sunday night it was at 107 degrees. No one called monday morning that her breathing was getting labored and oxygen low. She was over drugged and that caused her to aspirate into her lungs and get pneumonia. I told the tech she was hotter than normal and i was ignored. and now my baby is dead because of AVC. read more

COMPASSIONATE AND DEDICATED AVC exceeded all of my wildest expectations! I brought in my huge green iguana, Donny Osmond, for an eye exam (at the clinic Eye Care for Animals, which is associated with AVC). Numerous doctors came in to all individually examine Donny. When it became clear that Donny's eye issue was actually a mouth issue, they transferred him to AVC to have an MRI. AVC waved the many of the costs associated with the MRI and gave Donny the best care possible. I felt confident that all of the vets working with him were skilled and loving. They were careful to monitor his vitals during the MRI, as iguanas are very prone to stop breathing. They also let me watch every step of the procedure and answered all of my questions eagerly. In the last few days since the MRI, AVC has collaborated with the Eye Care clinic as well as my vet, Wasatch Exotic Pet Care, along with universities, zoological association vets, and numerous others to come up with the best diagnosis and treatment. I'm shocked that they've done so much rigorous work, yet only charged me a touch over $400 (which, when you're taking exotic reptiles to specialty vets, is honestly chump change). If I could give you guys 10 stars, I would. You guys are rigorous scientists with hearts full of compassion and I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with Donny. Dr. Kelly Bullett, Rhiannon and the AVC staff were all amazing!! Our 6yr old chocolate lab ran into a horseshoe pitching stake in tall grass and split his chest wide open in July of 2016. We got him to AVC as soon as we could and they stapled and stitched him up! Everyone at AVC were very personable and caring for both Simon and us!! Greatly appreciated their professionalism and care! If you want a veterinarian who will only talk to you about money, and not the health of your pet, this is the place for you. After waiting for hours on end, clearly emotionally distressed (me) and physically distressed (my dog) to have a vet just bombard me with prices (please note priceS, because the cost seemed to change with every sentence, almost as if she couldn't remember what she'd already told me) in between what I perceived as being personal jabs, was overwhelming. It felt like questions were not welcomed, nor was any relation of my dog's health history, which just added to the already impersonal bedside manner. I will never bring another cherished pet here. With that said, the vet techs who work there are largely wonderful, Kyra especially, and seem to be the only compassionate employees. They deserve a nicer place to work. read more

So glad I came here for a second opinion. In June, My dog Emmitt was playing fetch and all of the sudden lost function in his hind legs and could not walk. I called my normal vet clinic and the receptionist was very annoyed and told me how busy they were but to just bring him in anyways and that we would probably have to wait a while in the waiting room. I brought him down anyways and after a very heartless and non-thorough look at him, the doctor suggested that he might have "spinal shock". He mentioned that if he doesn't improve in 4 to 5 days, I may need to put him down. Never even got a follow up call from them like they usually do, and 5 days after the injury it was time to make a decision. This time I decided to get a second opinion and asked for an MRI at AVC. They were confident they knew what it was right away but could only confirm it through the MRI, and they were right! He had FCE and recommended physical therapy and acupuncture. They then referred me to animal care center in Bountiful (another amazing experience, and such caring staff). After 15 sessions, even though it cost me a pretty penny, my dog is now about 95% back to normal. Had I listened to my other vet, my baby would no longer be with us. read more

Horrible. I brought my beautiful shitzu in because she was shaking and having a hard time walking. They took xrays and said she had ivdd. I took her back to my primary vet and we started lazor therapy on her back and crate rest therapy. This went on for weeks and i was hopeful. I went to cali for a week. The night i got back my beloved had a major seizure. I went back in and they did an mri. She had a a sinus tumor that had pushed up into her brain. I had no option but to put baby down. The point is that they gave me hope then took it away. Had i been told she had a tumor months ago i might have been able to prepare myself for the inevitable. Not be shocked . We wasted months on crate rest and lazor therapy when i could have been exploring other options. We are heartbroken read more

While we were out backcountry skiing somehow our ski hit right below my dogs elbow and sliced it open about a quarter inch. It wasn't fully gushing blood but definitely needed some type of suture. My normal Vet was closed already on a Saturday so they referred me over to this Vet. His wound started to bleed on the drive down so I let them know I would be there in about 10 minutes. I got there, filled out the paperwork, and by the time we finally got into the exam room it took about 20 minutes. Keep in mind this is an emergency vet, so I was pretty annoyed that it took that long of a wait especially when my dog was bleeding all over their floor. The nurse was awesome and did a great job letting me know what they were going to do. The wound was small enough that they only needed to use staples not use anesthesia or stitches, so I was happy about that. The time he was away from me getting his staples was pretty quick maybe 5 to 10 minutes. Overall I thought they did a great job and for a 24/7 vet hospital it served it's purpose. My only complaint was the wait time before getting him into the exam room. Total price for everything came to $185, which is what I figured it would be around. Unfortunately my dog cannot have any type of activity for the next 12 days - bummer! read more

A few months ago, my mom's usually spunky, bitey, rambunctious kitten was so sick she could hardly hold her head up. AVC told her she's fine and to give her some water, charged my mom, and sent her on her way. This kitten was DYING. My mom took her somewhere else and was told it was a medical emergency (duh) and helped save her life. Later, a friend of mine took her pneumonia-ridden dog in and AVC refused to take him in without $1,100. They did some bloodwork and took X-rays and told her to wait 5 days for results and still refused to admit him to make sure he'd survive. She took the pup to a different vet, who was much less rude and much more understanding and got the peace of mind she deserved. The other vet gave the dog an anti-nausea shot and some cans of food for free. AVC treated her like garbage because she didn't have the money upfront. If you want a vet with compassion and listening skills, skip out on AVC. read more

We brought our Bouvier in on the fly because we thought he may be choking or that his airway was obstructed. We called ahead. And even though there was a 4 hour wait, Frankie at the front desk and Calee (a technician) came to the lobby and did a quick check of his throat to see if it was indeed an emergency. We were so glad they took the five minutes to check so we didn't worry. They checked his gums, gave him water and something to eat to be sure that he was indeed breathing fine before they sent us home releaved. Thank you! read more

This is a belated review..... My dog was unable to walk due to a broken growth plate in his leg that had broken off and was lodged in his joint at 8 years of age. I was referred to AVC care and met with Dr. Morgan who reviewed everything and did some additional tests. One thing that stands out that put me off at the time is Dr. Morgan was very guarded about the prognosis saying "poor to fair." He wanted to make sure that I understood the prognosis before spending the money for the surgery. I went ahead with it and all went well. My dog started walking again the day after the surgery. 5 years later he is still walking. I truly appreciate the professionalism and skill of the AVC staff and feel that what put me off at the time -- making sure I understood the prognosis before doing the surgery -- is very much appreciated when I think about it in retrospect. They care about you and your pet.....It is not just about the money with these folks. Another great thing about them is they hire and RETAIN top talent which says a lot about the quality of the company. read more

I have visited AVC in several occasions for different family pets but the most memorable experience was recently with my new rescue dog Maddie. She started uncontrollably shaking and panting on a short walk and her symptoms only got worse when she got home. I called AVC and they advised me to bring her in as soon as possible and I drove right over. When I reached AVC Maddie's condition had worsened and the techs rushed out right away to bring her back and start working on her. Turns out she had dug up and eaten some compost and had tremorgenic mycotoxins poisoning. She had her stomach pumped, stayed overnight and had all kinds of tests. Honestly I don't think she would have made it if it wasn't for the quick action of the AVC staff. Thanks to Katherine Lingner and especially Tori for taking such good care of Maddie, giving her so much personal attention and being so knowledgeable and professional. Last night one of my nightmares came true when my dog ingested a large amount of chocolate. They decided to keep her overnight for monitoring and every single person we dealt with from the receptionists to the techs, and the doctors was so kind and helpful in walking us through this process. My dog Sully ate a mouse that must have been infected with rat poison during a recent stay in park city. It was Christmas Eve, so all of the local clinics were closed and I was freaking out (throwing up, lethargic). The AVC staff was helpful, full of expertise, compassionate, and comforting (hah I could barely hold back tears). At the time, I was unaware that the resort I was staying at had used rat poison, so I had no clues for what was making her sick. They took an x-Ray and did blood work to be sure but didn't find anything crazy. Some anti nausea medicine and a saline hump later, she made it through the night. We took our elderly dog in on a Saturday because he wasn't eating or drinking, and overall very sick. They took him back right away, then the doctor came out to see us. She called him a her (oops), then told us he was very sick. She said he had a large lump in his belly, which she believed to be a mass that is probably growing, and will move into his lungs quickly (which she thought was the cause of his cough). She asked if we wanted to do an ultrasound and we said we didn't think so, if she feels a mass, then there's probably a mass. I explained that he has Cushing's disease and liver issues, and asked if they could be playing a role in what he was experiencing, and she said not likely. She then said that she thought he was dying and that we should put him down that day. We asked if it could be delayed and she didn't recommend it as she felt he would not improve - this was it for him. We decided not to do it there, and to do a house call for the euthanasia. An hour before his appointment, he smelled the pizza we were stress eating between sobs, and his eyes lit up. Right before our eyes we watched him turn around - he wanted to eat, drink, move around, and wag his tail! It's been 4 days now, and our pup is wanting to go on walks, eat lots, and play with his toy. Until he shows us signs that he's suffering, we will enjoy our time with him. We are watching him closely but are so very glad we listened to our gut and waited so that he could show us he was going to pull through! A word to the wise, these folks are nice and knowledgable, but always go with your gut and get a second opinion when it comes to ending your beloved pet's life. read more

A couple of months ago my 1 year old dog escaped our back yard and we think he got hit my a car. His foot got ripped open from the bottom and we took him to our local vet. They performed surgery there. About a week and a half into recovery on a Sunday I went to AVC to get his foot wrapped because my vet was closed. They were very honest with me, more than my local vet and told me they think he was going to lose his leg from infection and it looked like it wasn't healing. I am so glad they did not sugarcoat his recovery like my other vet may have been. They offered to do HBOT oxygen treatment on him that cost me a pretty penny, but ultimately saved his leg. If it wasn't for AVC my young dog would be in a completely different place then he is now. Yes the treatment was expensive, but I would have paid more in time and money if he had to go through another surgery for amputation. The critical care team at AVC were incredible in communication and had so much knowledge. I think if you have an emergency or if your pet is going through anything serious this is 100% the place to bring them and I will be taking me dog here if anything else ever happens. read more

I would not take another animal to this clinic or advise anyone else to, even in an emergency. The two veterinarians I worked with were arrogant, dismissive and untrustworthy. I suspect I was deceived and bullied into authorizing euthanasia of my pet. Major aspects of my pet's condition were not disclosed early on, resulting in premature deterioration of their health. The entire staff that I encountered lack both empathy and compassion. Surprising for people choosing this profession. A sick or injured animal would be better off at ANY other clinic. read more

This place is the BEST! My girl needed cataract surgery and I wouldn't trust anyone else but Dr. McLaren to do it! The care of the staff was great. I knew my pup wasn't going to feel alone while she was healing. They cared for her like she was theirs. The price is a high but for what they do it is very reasonable. It's a specialty hospital that few others can even do, the price was worth my puppy being able to see again. LOVE this place and highly recommend!!! read more

AVC was so great in an emergency. I'm thankful we had such a smart, caring vet tech taking care of our puppy while we were here. I wish I could remember her name. She really knew what she was talking about and made me feel at ease with our sick puppy. I didn't find it much more expensive than other veterinarians. Our emergency visit was $80. The prices are comparable to other places I have been and with the service I received I would be willing to pay a little more. It was a tough day and everyone here was so caring. read more

The clinic staff where amazing super sweet and fast with my kitty when we went in, unfortunately we had to be referred to go to see the eye care for animals clinic that is in the same building and that's where it all went wrong the staff was rude they treated me as though I was a horrible pet owner and all they wanted was a ton of money and a lot of tests when I asked them if we could try abx before spending thousands of dollars on mri and surgery they again treated me horrible I DO NOT recommend ANYONE to the eye care side!!!! read more

Staff was incredible, especially considering that we had to bring our beloved, 140 lb Dane/Shepherd mix in to be put down. His hind legs had given out and we struggled getting him into the car. As we pulled up to AVC ER, 5 staff members were waiting with a gurney to assist us. They were patient, kind, and treated our Harley like he was one of their own. In a very sad, emotional situation for our family, AVC was the best choice. They let us take our time to say goodbye and even gave him a last meal of doggy treats and junk food. Very sensitive to our needs and emotions. The price was also very reasonable. I have been recommending them to everyone I know who has a pet. read more

AVC is awesome! They have taken care of our two dogs in a pinch multiple times. They are always so nice and helpful on the phone when we call with questions, as well. We have taken one of our dogs there multiple times ( for allergic reactions to stings and when she had a seizure for the first time) and they were always so wonderful and loving with her. We will always take our pets to AVC in an emergency! read more

Worst vet I've ever experienced. They told us to come down and they would get us right in. We arrived ten minutes later and they informed us that it would be two hours! We opted to stay and wait. There were two pets with no apparent emergency admitted before us. After waiting two hours and being the last people in the waiting area, we were informed that it would be another FIVE hours. I'm not making this up or embellishing. The front people were very rough looking and extremely rude. We left and drove to Blue Pearl. Completely different, better experience. Please don't waste your time at AVC!!! read more

DO NOT take your animal here if you need ICU/ER care !!! They left my beautiful dog unattended, unmonitored, no ECG, hypothermic, oversedated on schedule II narcotics post op to die. Medical records sub standard, crucial life & death client - patient communications ZERO. My girl didn't stand a chance. She would be alive today had she been under the care of experienced, qualified, observant veteranians & staff. INCOMPETENT - a DISGRACE to the profession! read more

Advance Care is much more than just a specialized Vet care center, all of the staff are so willing to help get your special 4 legged babies well and happy again. I am pleased to say I have had the best care for my little guys there and will recommend them to any one. Very Expensive for there services $1000 and up for a minor emergency! As you can see by there poor reviews, Seem to be par for the place! And they will send you home with IV solutions,Needles,Tubing to inject your pet with at home, thought that was there job, and they will clip you another $300 for that stuff We have used them twice and wont return!
