Registering 21F for freezer and 50F for fridge. I called first thing in the am, Scott said he could come out between 2-4pm that day! He came out in that window, diagnosed within 20mins and after another hour he was done. Cold fridge again. He only uses geniune ome parts, so he gave me a good 2 year guarantee on the part and labor with the receipt. That's really solid and reassuring. I contacted this company because my refrigerator was not cooling adequately. The service person diagnosed the problem and quoted me a ridiculously exorbitantly overpriced amount to install one electrical part. Due to the fact that I needed to get my refrigerator fixed, I foolishly agreed to pay this exorbitant amount. The service person charged me $300 for an hour of labor to install a $22.00 part. How many Yelp readers make $300 an hour? Any company that takes advantage of you while you are in a vulnerable position (fridge not working) is not a company I want to work with. We highly recommend A Fast Local Refrigerator repair. After the manufacture could not find any issues with our high end fridge (but we keep having them) we found this company. Scott came out and was way more thorough than the service we got from the manufacturer. However, diagnosis can be somewhat of an empirical science and Scott worked with us to try and nail down the issue so that we wouldn't spend money unnecessarily. With Scott's patience and persistence we were finally able to diagnose the issue. And Scott also suggested replacing some other minor parts while he had the fridge apart. TL DR: They came home, did some sloppy work, took$95, gave wrong diagnosis and wanted another $350 to do the actual work They called me before the appointment and asked a bunch of canned questions. I tried to explain the problem to them, but (maybe for deniability), they dis not want to hear it. They came home and initially confidently said that the main solenoid was broken and they have to replace it. I had already tried to explain before they came that the issue was different. Explained that in person and they changed the diagnosis. Also, they claim a fixed estimate of $95, but that is just for coming out. They do not advertise the actual cost. For me it was $350 to replace a filter base. I asked if I can get the part number so that I can source it and they said they do not give out the part number. I looked up the part online and saw it was available from reputable sources for cheaper than them. Also, they do not take a card and took my license number with a check. My refrigerator was making a hiss and then a click. It did it 3 times every hour. I called to schedule time to have the team out to repair my fridge. Before coming out they ran through a series of questions. By the end we figured out that the issue may be that my ice maker was on even though we disconnected the water line. In the end they recommend that I turn off the ice maker and give them a call back if the issue continues. How great is that?! It's really great! Saturday morning we discovered our fridge wasn't as cold as it should be. Freezer was fine. Found Scott on Yelp, called him late morning and he came out that afternoon. We turned the temperature to high and when he got here it appeared to be cooling correctly. I was hesitant to book service without a personal referral. Word of mouth is how you find reliable service and not people looking to make a quick nick and screw you over. However I did book a service appointment based on positive yelp reviews . And since my experience was anything but positive i feel compelled to offer you a different perspective with what occurred on my service call. I was initially told the model should be an easy fix, may not have parts available at time of service as he was able to come out the very next day after I called. So that was a positive- good schedule and weekend flexibility. However after being very gruff and short upon initial Introduction. He came in not saying more than the word "refrigerator?" And got to work without much of an explanation of what he was finding or looking for - the first thing he says to me after ignoring small talk "how's it going? Finding anything?" He hits me with ¿do you want the bad news or the bad news? Proceeding to say You have a leak in the coils and the coolant here and it's gonna be an $800 fix and unless it's under warranty I would recommend you just getting a new refrigerator. Service call $95 dollars to tell me he is not competent enough to do the Sauter on the pipe leaking coolant to fix the problem at hand. There is $95 and an hour of my life waisted by a fast local & Scott. I requested service on condenser fan (blades were cracked) - I ordered new one myself and initially couldn't figure out how to remove the defective one (I am senior aged female). Scott didn't even bother to replace it, after lengthy "investigation" he told me that condenser fan motor needs to be exchanged and gave me estimate for $361. I called in the morning for a service repair on my refrigerator as the freezer was not working as well as the fridge side was not cold.
