Minivan was on upper deck at Dane Cty Airport when baseball sized hail went through. Rude surprise…read moreafter trip return. That windshield was smashed. (Vehicle, too!) Got multiple bids from several companies. Really wanted to patronize a local business. Superficially, it looked like other, big box businesses, were less expensive. Upon closer inspection -- not necessarily. For example, some only took down make and model of vehicle, not VIN number. Turns out windshields get upgraded, too, with vehicle upgrades. Roscoe Glass wanted the VIN, right from the start. Roscoe Glass quoted a price, explained process. Gracious. Zero pressure. Big box companies had some deceptive practices going on. Later some hounded me. (Wanna bet they sold my info, too?) After several days of checking out different versions, decided Roscoe Glass was most confidence inspiring. They had next day apptmts. Excellent. They had kept all the info from the first call. Nice. Took vehicle in the next day. Excellent repair. They explained windshield had been replaced before. There were some problems with how that had been done. As such, there was a small difference on the current windshield installation. Ok, thank you. Thorough. But now comes the magic. I go out to my vehicle. Front door will not unlock. Not with fob, not with key. All others open. Oh dear. What happened? Went back into store. A technician came and checked. He thought something had come loose. (Literally completely incidentally. Not their fault. They had done nothing on the driver side window.) They took the vehicle back into shop. They took the door apart, reattached whatever had come loose. Did not charge extra. Who does this any more? I will not go anywhere else for windshields or glass anything. Such a pleasant, high quality experience. Could not have been better. Customer service is alive and well at Roscoe Glass.

I even left the old plastic for measurement verification. At some point, I'll sand it down to fit. Honestly though, that should not be required since a professional measured and cut the $55 piece for this project.

This is the 3rd window replaced on this Subaru Ascent. I've used them previously on my Kia as well…read more Let's start with the good. The windshield is replaced, looks secure, didn't leak, and my "Eyesight" cameras have zero errors. The bad. The trim on the exterior was improperly installed allowing leaks into the engine bay. I properly installed it. When pointing this out, customer service pointed out I now voided any warranty. When leaving, I noticed I had a headlight out on the passenger side. When opening the hood to investigate, the hood prop was loose and dangling dangerously over my drive belt, the inner fender trim was loose and creased, and the filter box was tampered with. Generally, I do my own oil changes and last week when last under the hood, everything was fine. Since the box was open, I noticed the $50 k&n filter is gone and a no name generic was in its place. Not something I check regularly, but with all the other issues in that general area, it's suspicious. It appears the trim was damaged looking for the missing hood prop grommet. I won't be taking my vehicle back there to be corrected. The trust is gone. For the premium price tag they demand, I expect a higher level of professionalism. I did not ask for compensation, nor was any offered. If I am forced by my insurance to use this shop again, it won't be dropped off and left unsupervised and I'd advise anyone else forced to use them to do the same.

The kid did a awesome job and he took his time and it sounded incredible. I didn't have any complaints about his job he done. I then came back and an older guy put in my backup camera and he went above and beyond and did a terrific job and I had great respect for the job he done putting it in. I bought another Tahoe and I went back to Tint World to just have certain wires ran because I wanted to do my own install this time. I got the same older Mexican guy who did a terrific job putting in my backup camera. I asked for him to run 2 power wires from the second alternator to the back where my second battery was located and run my car audio jacks and my remote wire. Well unfortunately I didn't get that done like I asked. He only ran one power wire and a supposed remote wire that I never could find behind the radio. I was charged $300.00 to have one power wire ran and that's it. I had to run my own remote wire and the other power wire that I asked him to put in and I had to run my own car jacks from the radio back to the amps. Which was what I paid them to do. He did a rush job on what I asked him to do and it has taken me about a month to fix his slope job that he did. I am very disappointed with the quality of work that was done this time. I feel I was ripped off by them this time. When initially I had to end up doing all the work myself after his slope job. Trust me I won't be going back to Tint World ever again for any more work. I feel like I ripped off by them like I did with the owners of the Tint World that was there before them. Just make sure that they do the work like you ask them to when they are done. Thank you for your time reading this. I just had to make sure I expressed every detail of what happened. I almost forgot he also only installed one 150 amp fuse to run 2 2,500 watt amps. Unfortunately the fuse burned in half the very next day. I even told him that 2 250 amp fuses were used on the last build and the were melting and so were the fuse holders. Even with me telling him that he refused to change the fuse. So I had to end up doing it myself. Thank you. The pictures are irrelevant don't pay them any attention.
