Avoid! I had a reservation with Advantage, got to Memphis and was told there were no cars. Once I returned home, I called to complain, Customer Service (which is handled by Hertz) was so frustrating to just try to reach--round-and-round on the phone, an automated menu where most of the options don't respond when pressed. Was finally able to get a person, was told I'd get a call back. Waited over 2 weeks, no call back. Emailed customer service, no response. Called again, got a person--after going around on automated menu again. Was told to fax the receipt from the car company (Avis) I ended up using on my trip. Supposedly Hertz will make it right by compensating me the price difference--I ended up paying $60 more with Avis for a compact compared to the price I had reserved for with Advantage for an Intermediate class car. We shall see.
Just save yourself the headache, go with a different car rental when in Memphis.. read more
