AVOID ADVANTAGE TOWING. I would give them zero stars if I could. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a business, and I believe I was deliberately misled so they could turn a simple tow into an outrageous storage bill. Allstate Roadside dispatched Advantage to tow my 2025 BMW i7 about 30 miles to the collision center. When the driver picked up my car, he told me that taking it directly there that day would cost me HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS out of pocket because of the mileage. He told me the alternative was to let Advantage keep my car overnight at their storage facility and they would deliver it to the collision center the next morning without me having to pay those huge mileage charges. I relied on what he told me and agreed. I later found out the additional charge to take my car directly to the destination was apparently only about $45 - NOT the hundreds of dollars I was told. And what happened after they got possession of my car? It wasn't delivered the next morning. They kept it at their lot, stopped responding to my calls and requests to move it, and then demanded THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS in towing/storage-related charges from the insurance company before the car would be released. I was lied to about the cost of completing the tow so I would agree to let them take my car to their storage facility, where they could then generate a massive bill. I consider what happened to be fraudulent and I am filing complaints regarding their conduct. As if that wasn't enough, after getting my BMW back I discovered that a $300 bottle of cologne that had been inside the vehicle was GONE. I am reporting the missing property separately as well. A simple 30-mile tow turned into a THREE-DAY ORDEAL involving thousands of dollars in disputed charges, unanswered calls, my approximately $120,000 BMW sitting in a storage lot, and personal property missing from my vehicle. I would NEVER voluntarily allow this company to take possession of one of my vehicles again. If Advantage Towing is dispatched for you, I strongly recommend documenting EVERYTHING before they touch your vehicle - photograph the interior, photograph your belongings, record the mileage, get every price and promise in writing, and know exactly where they are taking your car. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Advantage Towing. I waited nearly 3 hours after being told a tow truck was on the way. At the last minute, they canceled my service without any explanation. I tried calling multiple times to find out why my service was canceled, but no one answered or returned my calls. Because of the delay and lack of communication, the repair shop I was supposed to have my vehicle delivered to had already closed, wasting my entire day. This was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. If they couldn't provide the service, they should have informed me much earlier instead of making me wait for hours. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL! We needed a tow and called Allstate Roadside Assistance and they dispatched Advantage Towing and the estimated time was 7:24PM to 7:54PM. We were provided a link to follow the ETA and as the time almost reached the higher range of the ETA the time kept changing higher. I tried calling their phone number but all that came out was a message saying they are busy and to call back later. Called back Allstate Roadside Assistance after the ETA changed to 9:30PM and they also could not get through by calling them. They ended up cancelling the tow and scheduled another company. The other company came out in a prompt manner and the driver even called me to let me know he was on the way. What a waste of time with Advantage Towing! Do not use them unless you enjoy having your time wasted waiting for a tow. read more

Zero stars! Waiting over 2 hours for my vehicle to be towed (quoted 45 minutes). First came with a truck that could not remove my car from a city alley (you'd think they would be prepared for that as I told roadside assistance it was in a parking spot in an alley). I have called them multiple times to see if a new truck had been dispatched (they do not even have a professional voice mail, only says please leave a message, not even their business name) with no answer. Cancelling this tow- do better Advantage Towing! Side note: Eddie who showed up with the first truck was very kind- find a better place to work Eddie. Update: roadside assistance dispatched Advantage Towing again... Joe made it around 4pm (tow was first due to happen at 11:45am). Joe is great. While I was at work my pregnant girlfriends car wouldn't start. She called AAA and they dispatched Advantage Towing. The service was supposed to be covered by AAA but 10 minutes prior to the tow trucks arrival they call and tell my gf its a $150 charge to get vehicle out of garage. Literally took 2mins to put in neutral and push out. Long story short they towed car to shop...and come to find out, jump started car at shop to get off tow truck smh (got this info from shop) ...why didnt they jump start in our garage??? When Prime Advantage Towing was scheduled to arrive, Prime Advantage Towing canceled their ticket and left a parent and their child stranded. If you need a tow or roadside assistance and this is who the insurance company is sending, contact the insurance company and have them send someone else because the insurance company, according to mine and other reviews, will need to send someone else anyway. read more

Advantage Tow on Mozart in Chicago gets the most stars from me. Their quick tow by Eddie, a great tow truck driver, was faster and better than I've ever gotten from any tow company. I highly recommend them. They were there in 30 minutes, quickly loaded my car, and delivered to my mechanic. The 1st tow co Allstate called said two hours. I insisted on a different co. I initiated the request for a tow with this company via Buick Roadside assistance beginning at approximately 1:09pm, and was given an estimated arrival time between 2:36pm-2:54pm. I received periodic text messages with information that they are running on time, so I clocked out of work early and sat in my car at 2:45pm. At approximately 3:00pm Roadside assistance phoned me to see if the tow had happened or was in progress, I informed customer service that neither had/is happening. I was then put on a brief hold while Advantage towing Inc was being notified for an update. Roadside service returned to the phone and stated that they would be at my location within 20-30 minutes. After waiting for approximately 37 minutes, I attempted to call Advantage towing Inc, to check the status, to no avail. I made a few more attempts, no answer. Finally I phoned Roadside assistance to see what the status was , they put me on hold and attempted to call Advantage Towing Inc 5xs and no answer. At approximately 4:14pm, Roadside assistance initiated service with another towing company, with an estimated time of arrival of about an hour, and made a complaint against Advantage Towing company. This company should never be affiliated with any Roadside agency, because when you need emergency assistance, you're already frustrated and this company really adds to your frustration......stay away from ADVANTAGE TOWING INC, when you need urgent service.....SHAME on this company with piss poor service!!!! read more

I have towing through Allstate Motor Club. My trans was leaking badly on my driveway & I knew it shouldn't be driven. I have a Buick Riviera which is best with a flatbed tow. I called Allstate roadside services on Friday morning. Joe at Prime Advantage got the call, and he arrived himself within the expected time frame. He discussed the car problem with me, then got it onto the flatbed. He could not have been nicer, and he treated me like I was his favorite relative. Joe's niceness is what put this experience a cut above. He also seemed really to know automobiles. Completely nice and respectful, and on time. read more

Waited 3 hours for truck to show up. Yes, they will charge you extra regardless of your tow coverage. I called my Liberty Mutual roadside assistance and got Prime Advantage Towing in the draw. My coverage is up to $200, and when they got here they said they needed $50 in cash. I called my roadside and they contacted the company and were told it was for a dolly since my car was lowered. I have an Audi A4 with a rally setup and no front skirt so higher than most cars. In addition the driver had no dolly with him. I had contacted them before after seeing reviews and they just added on some fees to that quote so driver could have some extra cash. I cancelled them and if at all possible you should too. This company has a contract with AAA, but when they show up to tow your car, they overcharge for the tow and say they will not tow the car without payment. They charged three times the rate we were quoted by AAA. My sister was stranded and they took advantage of her. Reported them to AAA, and I am doing everything in my power to get them to lose their contract. The driver says he gets this all the time, but they had to be in cahoots, otherwise, why did he call? Sorry everybody seems to have had problems with this company, but they were great for me. Called my BP Motor Club for a tow, who connected me with Prime. Joe said they'd be there in an hour and the driver would call when he was close. Exactly one hour later, the driver called and was there a minute later. Moese, the driver, was very nice and helpful. He helped my boyfriend push the car into position a few times since I had no brakes. The whole episode took about an hour from when he arrived to when he left. I actually would not give one start, but zero was not an option. After 6 hours of getting them to jump my car and get it on a flatbed, I find out the next day it was not at the dealer. It finally arrived at 2:30pm. They told me the truck broke down, for the second time, and they could not make it to the dealer the night prior. This was never communicated this to anyone, hence nobody had any idea where the car was. I did not choose them, as they were the contractor for roadside assistance. I have requested they be removed, so other customers do not have to endure the pain of dealing with them. Do not use them, even in desperation. read more
