Advantage towing is endorsed by AAA. I called them to tow my car from San Diego to my residence 83 miles away. AAA gave me an estimated arrival time for them. 30 mins later I'm told they can't respond and are "unavailable" for the next five hours. I call Advantage towing and they quote me 900 abs are willing to do it. I tell them if they accept AAA and the employee tells me "not that I'm aware." I tell them AAA said they are a provider and the guy says "I don't know" and hangs up on me, Classic. We'll Atleast I know what kind of service they offer and you should to. read more

I was connected with him through Triple A, and minutes after I hung up with Triple A, he called to let me know that he was on his way. He was prompt, communicative, and incredibly kind. The driver called my cell phone that had obviously been given by AAA. Said he was 15 to 20 minutes away. I expected him to come into the parking lot at Fashion Valley Mall where I was with my car at Firestone. Never came into the parking lot....never called when he was "on the scene" and marked the job as "completed." I called the number back to ask why if he arrived, I did not see a truck, I was not contacted, Firestone wasn't contacted, etc. No answer. The driver, MORGAN, was so cheerful and concerned. He delivered my car to my mechanic's shop, and called me to let me know that my car would be waiting for my mechanic in the morning. I called AAA and Advantage tow was originally the people that were going to tow my vehicle. From the start the person who called was rude. He got there in even a worse mood than over the phone. Said he couldn't tow it and left. I called Hook Up towing. The person who answered was very nice, asked about my situation, came in 10 minutes and had the vehicle on his flat bed in less than 10 minutes and on route to our destination. I paid out of pocket but had no issues because Hook up towing was great. If I ever have to use AAA and they send Advantage I'll definitely pass. The guys service was trash. read more

This company's tow truck driver said I had to get my car towed to there lot after a bad accident I was in even though I wanted it towed elsewhere. They told me not to worry that my insurance would cover it even if I had liability. I was out of it and not thinking clearly from the accident. It turns out my insurance doesn't cover it and I was charged $365 to have my car put in their lot for a day. I feel like I was taken advantage of during a horrible accident that happened to me. Called AAA for battery service.. Advantage towing was assigned, drove right passed me (didn't even do a second drive down the street) and drove off without stopping to give me service. Then sends me a text saying thank you for letting us be of service to you. BUT THEY DROVE PASSED ME AND DIDNT HELP ME AT ALL. second call to AAA they send the same company and I decided to just get a tow to a shop and they did something similar, drove passed me and then reported to AAA that they couldn't find me and couldn't provide service. For the next 10 hours I was stranded on the side of the road in 107 degree weather with a dead battery. Because AAA kept sending advantage towing and they kept accepting the service call yet canceling or pushing back the time of arrival. My phone died like 4 times and I had to ask strangers to help me charge my phone so I could call AAA again because nobody was showing up. Just the worst experience I have ever had with AAA. Received towing service from Alex S. He showed up earlier than I was expecting and was patient waiting for me to meet up with him. When I did meet up with him at my car, he gave some informative insight into potential next steps to deal with the problem all while performing his job with great efficiency. I rode with him back to my house where he was taking the car and he kept great conversation, asking about my interests and opening up about how hard he works to provide for his family and the pride he has in that. This should be negative 3 stars but I gave one star was for the technician Chris who came to replace my car battery after AAA calling this company out. He didn't have the right tools to get my old battery out so said he'd inform dispatch this and will come pout the next day by 8am. Left me a card with the time frame. At 8:15 no call/ no chris so I called dispatch. They said he was out sick. Dispatch took my name, home address, phone number and AAA # and said there was someone close and would head right over. 9:20 nothing. I called Advantage again. New guy answered and I explained that I was waiting for a battery replacement. He said someone came out and they didn't have my number and I wasn't around. I explained as I did to the first dispatch that it's my house, car in garage and no one called or rang door bell. My battery was dead so nowhere to go. He said they do not go on property. I tried to explain that my doorbell is on the gate accessible by public sidewalk but he said again they don't go on private property and he was getting upset by his tone and repeated message without listening to me. He made me feel that it was my fault. Yet they showed up with the wrong tools the first time, they didn't seem to have me in the system from the initial visit, and their first dispatch guy did not properly input my information or communicate to their technicians my number that I distinctly gave out. It was already too many blunders and no clear way to find a solution with them. I said I'll call AAA again and ask for another provider and he yelled GO AHEAD AND DO THAT!!! and hung up. I filed a complaint with AAA who informed me that next time I can request another provider so FYI. Angelo Towing came out. They were professional, prepared with the right tools & battery, and had NO issue with ringing my doorbell. Last week, my car battery died on me while I was parked in Old Town for Taco Tuesday! After calling CSAA for battery service, AAA Advantage Towing was dispatched to assist me. I could even track the truck's progress on a map like Uber/Lyft and saw that it was nearby at the airport and quickly arrived within 10 minutes! Since my last oil change, it was recommended that I replace my battery sometime this Fall as my CRV would be at its 3.5 year mark. I debated whether to just have my car jump-started then go back to Pacific Honda Express to have the dealer change my battery. George was extremely helpful in making my decision...the only difference between him and the dealer was the code needed to reset the radio and we easily found it on the side of the glove compartment. His estimate was very competitive and extremely convenient since he was here and I could immediately take care of my battery issue! From the moment I called AAA roadside assistance until George finished replacing my battery...it was only an unbelievable total of 30 minutes before I was on my way! Not only that, but I saved almost $40 buying the battery from Advantage Towing ($115) vs Pacific Honda ($152)...which also included the 3-year warranty :)) Who can beat this convenience of delivery and immediate installation?!! I had an exceptional experience with Advantage Towing yesterday, and more specifically, with expert flatbed operator Nash, who reports an eventful and interesting five year work history with Advantage Towing. So, everybody together 'round! Here's my unabridged story with pictures; follow along kids! So, I occasionally (ahem) liven up my day by zooming about, by flying low in my little, black sportscar on the twisting, turning roads between the little towns of Dryvitlykyastoallette and Ohellyah. On one such recent post-sunset jaunt my car and I experienced something a car lover hopes to never happen to their cherished love. You see, never would I let a Catholic priest near my sweet ride, and, she's never been left alone in a dark alley. Get my drift? Any who, on this oh so fateful evening, my left front tire received an unwanted tongue kiss from a fast moving, kinda hairy, paved roadway obstacle that just came out of nowhere, jumped right in our way, and attacked us! It absolutely floored my poor Pirelli; it left her breathless and quite literally, unable to carry on. I got her to a place of refuge, but at only 19 (inches), I am very sad to say, my dear Pirelli left this world. Well, that leaves the rest of us. We need to get our lives back on the road and adjust to life as it is today. This began by needing to have my Corvette flatbed towed (my car rides very low) to a specialist in Otay Mesa from downtown, or so I understood. Getting the Corvette from its starting location, in a garage, at the base of a hill, on a busy thoroughfare, proved to be somewhat more complicated than I thought, but then I met Nash. And, Nash handled this and every step with grace and ease! Now aboard the large, shiny, new truck, we headed south. We arrived 20 miles away, in Otay Mesa, near the Mexico/Otay Port of Entry, only to find out that the just-opened facility I had scheduled to have the car dropped off at did not yet possess the proper machinery to fix the problem. Rrr. I needed to make a last-minute change! After a flurry of calls, I found another location about 8 miles away, back the way that we came, that could address my car's needs immediately. The immediacy was of crucial importance because at that time it was past 3:00pm on the Friday before the Christmas three day weekend. To make matters worse, Nash was just about ready to do the final detaching and unhooking of the car onto terra firma from the back of the flatbed when I found out that we needed to switch locations and have the car reloaded and re-secured. Again, Nash's professional demeanor was evident. He never grumbled, complained or skipped a beat! What a pro! Upon arrival at our final destination, we found a very busy facility at the corner of an even busier intersection. Nash needed to loop back around the block, which was quite large, and come back around and cut across lanes of traffic and lastly, back the large tow vehicle into this facility and drop off the Corvette. Nash is an excellent driver and negotiated the conditions with apparent ease. The cars that needed to stop and wait never even beeped or got excited. Nash backed in and lowered the flatbed. The car was then dropped off and my repairs completed and I was on the road before the close of the business day, again, the Friday before Christmas weekend! Clearly, none of this could have happened with a driver who was any less than 100% professional and capable and I found that with Nash and Advantage Towing. My husband went to release his car to Allstate and then on our way back home the insurance called us telling us that the people at Advantage towing said we had not release the car so we went on a three way call with them and they said we needed to come in to release it when we were there not even 10 mins ago.
