It feels like the front desk is avoiding doing their job by having sick patients check themselves in, and it creates unnecessary contact points where germs can easily spread. If someone comes in for a non-illness-related issue, they're now exposed to germs from everyone touching the same equipment. As for the care itself, I will say the medical team is fast, efficient, and provides quality treatment. However, the front desk experience completely overshadows that. Another major issue is the lack of privacy. The front desk openly asks patients, "What's going on with you?" in front of the entire waiting room. While I was there, a man came in and had to quietly tell the receptionist he had diarrhea -- in front of everyone. That's embarrassing and absolutely not how patient information should be handled. These conversations should be left for triage in a private room, not asked out loud in a lobby full of strangers. Because of these issues, I will not be returning to this location.

We have asked to be moved away from the Ascension Seton/ Dell fanily as this is not the first time we've been misquoted. As I walked, they just finished mopping the floor and the lobby floor was so wet, they had the caution sign but anyone can fall if you're not careful. The wait took forever and I was the only one in the lobby. I thought maybe, the rooms were full, negative. I was the only one patient. As they take my X-ray, I was in pain trying to position myself and at one point I had to hold the plate on my stomach for them to take the X-ray. The nurse was nice and all but the machine looked like a dinosaur. The Dr and nurses in-charge was ok but the front desk girls was friendly. The highlight of this visit was their snack station.

Honestly, I'm so glad I made the longer drive, it was completely worth it. When I got there, there were just a couple of people already checked in and waiting. It took about 30 minutes before I was called back to triage. After answering a few questions and talking briefly with a doctor, they explained there weren't any open beds yet, so I'd need to wait until someone came to get me for a CT scan. That wait was around 45 minutes, and after the scan, they had a bed ready for me in the ER. After some bloodwork and a few hours, I was admitted to the hospital and stayed for two nights. Everyone I interacted with was professional, kind, and really seemed to care. Big kudos to Yanci and Terri for being superstar nurses! Also, the hospital is so clean, which is very important to me. Although having to sit in the waiting room for a bed to open up while in pain was frustrating, I received great care from start to finish, and I'm really glad I decided to go out of my way to come to this location. I'd definitely come back here if I ever need care again.

It has been very hard to watch how roughly they handle her, how rude they are to her family, and how little they care for her past pushing meds. I truly believe this hospital should not be a trauma center, as it took 7 days to get an EEG and MRI for an ICU patient with possible brain damage that some of could have possibly been prevented. It has been extremely infuriating and frustrating. You should not have to feel like you can't leave your loved ones alone in the hospital for worry of the care they will receive.

My ultrasound-guided IV infiltrated, causing unnecessary pain and frustration. Rather than acknowledging what had happened or showing empathy, I felt dismissed throughout my visit. After the IV failed, another senior nurse repeatedly pressured me to undergo another ultrasound-guided IV placement. I respectfully declined, but I was asked again and again despite my answer. By the fourth time I said no, the nurse responded with noticeable attitude before leaving the room. As a patient, I felt that my decision was not being respected and I was being marginalized. I understand that emergency departments are busy and stressful, but kindness, professionalism, and respect for a patient's choices should never be optional. Patients come to the ER feeling scared, vulnerable, and in need of compassionate care. Unfortunately, that was not the experience I had. I hope this feedback encourages improvements in communication, patient care, and respect for patient autonomy so others receive the compassion and dignity every patient deserves.

Went in for an early AM heart procedure and other than waiting 15min at the front desk for someone…read moreto come on duty, I found St David's Georgetown location to be easy to find (my Uber driver dropped me at the correct entrance) , clean, quiet and modern. The campus is smaller than other hospitals I've been to, which helped me arrive on time, and avoid getting confused about which building my appointment was in. With multiple heart doctors on my team, I can mix up who's doing what when and where. This hospital was manageable. I was in a shared room, (my first) but I had the window side, with a curtain drawn between the two bed areas creating adequate privacy. The single TV on the wall seemed to be more on my side, but there wasn't time to even turn it on. The very attentive nursing staff were busy asking me all the standard questions, double checking my medication list and fasting requirements, what I was there for, etc... all very professional, pleasant and efficient. When they had me ready for the cardiologist, I was wheeled into the surgical area and a new group of faces introduced themselves, went over a few more questions, and then the anesthesiologist said hello and I next thing I said was goodnight! Afterwards, back in my room, I was able to order lunch and had the salmon with veggies and chocolate pudding. The entree was so good! The BF (and my ride home) had arrived just in time to feed it to me as my right arm was in a contraption from the procedure. Discharge came with lots of aftercare notes, phone surveys and a handwritten thank you note signed by all the nurses. Nice touch!
