The service and staff has been perfect. The on line pre check and payment has been the problem. Knee surgery was scheduled for 2/4/2026 but was change to 07/31/2026. pre check payment was made 1/12/206 $325. account 25069526196. The procedure was cancelled by Dr English's office but the hospital did not get it cancelled and was holding my co pay. Had to call the billing and hospital several times and maybe after 3 months a refund is pending. No one is billing or the hospital could was able to process my request and Dr English had to cancel the procedure again 2 months later. read more

We had our son here and the entire staff was terrific. They took great care of both of us, making sure my wife was comfortable at every checkin. So thankful for the entire L&D team truly, they made the whole experience so great. Specifically, the lactation consultant. My husband had outpatient day surgery at St. David's in Georgetown. He was checked in and assigned a nurse who stayed with him throughout the pre-surgery process. The nurse explained everything, started the IV, and checked on him frequently. He met the anesthesiologist who had an intern that worked with him. They checked for allergies and explained everything. Dr. Geyer came in and also talked with my husband before the surgery. The recovery nurse kept me informed of my husband's progress after surgery. The doctor also called me. The entire staff are professional, knowledgable, and caring to their patient. We have used this hospital twice and we recommend it. Large mega hospitals are not always better! St. David's is truly a community hospital. read more

Staff is professional, patient and kind. Yes! But ... They have a sign in the wall that says they respect your time. If you're reading that on a wall, then there's a good chance they do not respect the time of the patient and they have failed procedures for giving patients testing results. We arrived at 11:30pm ish. I think we would have been there still at sunrise waiting on the labs if I hadn't told them enough is enough at 3:00 am and reminded our nurse by going to the front desk that we were there. Our assigned nurse saw my husband once from 11:30pm to 3:30 am ish. My husband was sitting in the edge of the bed, with his upper body laying over and on the moving bed tray because he was so uncomfortable after the hours of waiting. I couldn't watch him that way and continue to wait patiently for our assigned nurse to decide to pop in and check in on his patient. The hospital needs better protocol on the testing, checking in on, and updating er patients. 11:30pm to 3:00 am and our assigned nurse saw my husband for less than a minute. All initial testing was done by fill in, drive by nurses. I wish we'd been assigned Ian who was.... working his cases actively, not passively. If it's procedure and policy then I believe they wouldn't have to post a sign about how they respect patient's time with estimated times of lab results. read more

Used St David's rehab for two weeks in October 2025. I've been calling the billing office about billing errors ever since. Stay away from them, if you use Triwest for your insurance. They can't find service dates or codes or much of anything else to help resolve the problem. I just got ten letters in the mail today that will require more phone calls and time spent trying to clean up their last billing mess months after discharge. read more

On 12/3/25, I flew from California to Austin, Texas to assist my sister as a caregiver during her recovery from a medical procedure at St. David's Hospital in Georgetown. From start to finish, our experience was truly exceptional. The entire team-from the front desk staff to the nurses, aides, and doctors-treated both my sister and me with genuine care, professionalism, and respect. At every step, I felt seen, heard, and supported. Their kindness and attentiveness made a difficult time much easier, and I am deeply grateful for their compassion and dedication. The facility was clean, well-organized, and peaceful, which made my sister's recovery process so much easier. I appreciate the prompt service, the teamwork among the staff, and the positive atmosphere throughout the hospital. By the way, they have one of the most beautiful Christmas trees in their lobby I've ever seen. Pre-op nurse Regina had such a warm, uplifting personality that immediately put us at ease. After the procedure, post-op nurse Kelly cared for my sister with a gentle touch, a warm smile and a sincere warm personality, too. Nurse Jimmy brought a kind-hearted spirit that we truly appreciated. Jimmy if you're reading this, don't forget to finish the flower shed! Each of them was attentive and compassionate, checking on me and my sister throughout the entire process. Their professionalism, kindness, and humanity made all the difference that day. I would also like to extend my deepest gratitude to Dr. Mbachu and Dr. Russell for taking such exceptional care of my little sister. This hospital damn near killed my brother. Went in because he had brown pee and clay colored poop. His liver enzymes were very high and after one day stopped giving him antibiotics and IV fluids even though drinking water made him nauseous. After 6 days and no answers they released him. He gets home and 2 days later his eyes and skin were turning yellow. He has been in liver failure. How do doctors miss this. If hes got permanent liver damage because of their incompetence we will be contacting a lawyer. read more

Normally, I have a tendency to read many of the reviews before going anywhere, but I neglected to do that in this case. If you read through all the reviews here, you'll notice there are a great number of very dissatisfied customers, and I'm one of them. I came here in February 2024 for a heart stress test, which is really no big deal and there is no invasive procedure. The nightmare for me began as soon as I walked to the front desk and told the desk clerk that I had an appointment. She looked at me, and said that will be a $500 co-pay. I couldn't believe my ears and quite literally I was on the verge of turning around and walking the hell out, but my wife convinced me otherwise. Who the hell charges a $500 co-pay and on top of that never even mentions that you'll be hit with this figure when you come in for your appt! Can you seriously name any other business in the world that would have this kind of contempt for your finances? At least the actual stress test went very well and I have no complaints about the technicians or my cardiologist. They did a great thorough job in getting the results. One thing about their billing is that they will bill you once and if you accidentally overlook it, they will not bill you again. I first got a $55 bill which I paid followed by a $20 bill which I also paid. Then came the $320 bill which I did put off a few days past the due date. I wanted to check with with BCBS as to why I am now paying almost $900 for a stress test. You would think the test alone would only cost $900, but no, when I called BCBS I was told they tried to bill them for $11,000, but they would only pay them around $2300. I wanted BCBS to look into the billing and see if I was in fact responsible for this charge. Unfortunately, my BCBS helper called their billing department several times and was put on eternal hold, as a result, she was never able to ascertain any billing information. Since I am just over two weeks of not paying the $320 bill, it has already gone to a collection agency. In other words, they don't bill you again, they just sic the debt collector on you. They definitely want their money. So yes, I'll pay their bill, but I'll never set foot through their doors ever again. I really like my cardiologist, but I won't be seeing him again since he works for this system. Learn from me, call ahead before your appointment and ask what the co-pay and other expenses are going to be because they're not going to be forthcoming. If I had this hard of a time with their billing for a simple procedure, I can't imagine the frustration a major procedure or a hospital stay would cause. read more

Do not recommend. I was misdiagnosed. Went in with hypertensive crisis and was sent home a few hours later being told I was having an anxiety attack and the chest pains were simply acid reflux. They ran labs, doctor came in and told me my glucose was "slightly elevated" and at the time I didn't know anything about it, so I believed him. Upon seeing the labs after they were posted, turns out, I had unmanaged diabetes and didn't know. My sugar was almost 350 that night. Which is actually a medical emergency that can cause a coma. They gave me valium and treated me for GERD and sent me home. I TRUSTED them to give me a proper diagnosis...and handed a line of BS instead. The nurses who actually attempted to help me were amazing though. I was terrified seeing my heart beat out of my chest, I was terrified feeling my blood pressure as high as it was. I thought I was going to lose my life. At my follow up, they ran a full panel, and labs discovered my condition was WAY more severe than that. I should have been kept that night, I could have died in the days leading up to my follow up appointment. By the way... A symptom of hypertensive crisis, heart attack, stroke, etc is actually anxiety. So never let them say you're just anxious. Get a second opinion if you feel something is off. Trust your gut. And ALWAYS follow up with your primary. read more

I could've arrived via ambulance but chose to have my parents take me after experiencing a seizure at a clinic. Unfortunately, tests were performed but no care was given except a bed after a long wait. My parents in their late 70s had to wait in the waiting room for several hours. I wasn't given fluids or anything to eat until my discharge papers were about to be signed. And that sandwich and chips were practically thrown at me! Yes, chips when doctor knew I have a fatty liver. All my other tests came back normal. So not only was my self-diagnosed epilepsy not professionally diagnosed but I wasn't treated for my seizure either. And the several long hour visit resulted in a bill this school teacher will have to pay in increments. Avoid if possible! read more

On April 10, 2025, during a scan on my knee to prepare for joint replacement surgery, I sustained an injury becasue the technicians instructed me to let my hip hang completely off the table--something I've never been asked to do in any of my prior scans. Since I am a fall risk with my handicaps, I felt I would fall, but the female imaging staff member yelled at me with no explanation as to why I needed to assume that position. I, of course, cooperated. I did not fall, but I was injured. I did not know of my injury until the scan was finished and I attempted to sit up at that point I experienced sharp, debilitating pain in my lower back on the left side, just above the hip. I involuntarily moaned and grunted several times from the acute pain. Since then, it has made walking significantly more difficult than usual. After this happened I had to walk back from the lab, where they drew blood, by myself with no escort. Though I was on my walker, the back pain caused by the scan made me stumble so much I almost fell twice. Also, there was no sign that said "Lobby," so I didn't even know where to go. A volunteer came and helped me get to the lobby. He stated that they were not supposed to have me walk from place to place without an escort. I subsequently went to the Emergency Room at St. David's Georgetown Hospital. To my surprise and frustration, I was informed that I would be responsible for the cost of care for an injury that, in my view, was clearly caused by a faulty or negligent procedure performed within their imaging department. Not only was there no acknowledgment of responsibility, but I also did not see any standard Medicare paperwork that asks whether the visit was related to an injury caused by someone else--something I find troubling. No one at the hospital cared or appolgized at all. The imaging staff did not even acknowledge my pain nor, even though I am a fall risk to begin with, they did not help me either onto--or more importantly--off the table when I was involuntarily grunting and moaning in pain. I believe this experience reflects a significant lapse in patient care standards. I am still in extreme pain from the injury. I am still stumbling much more than before and I almost fell when brushing my teeth this morning. Now I cannot have my surgery on the date planned and will have to start over with another surgeon and hospital as the hospital called the surgeon and they actually believe when a patient is injured at that hopsital the patient is to shut up and suffer and not say anything about it. Now two days after the injury in imagery - my left hip that they told me I had to hang entirely off the table which had a hip joint replacement in it, that hip is making clicking sounds with every movement. It looks like the hip joint replacement may have been damaged. I may now need two surgeries instead of just one due to St. David's Georgetown Hospital. Please understand I did not have a problem with my back, my hip are my knee on the left side though I had full joint replacements done previously in that knee and hip. I came in only for an MRI on the right knee for a surgery scheduled on April 17th. The injury to my back on the left side, the left hip, and also, now apparent, the left knee was done, caused in full by the imagery tech's instructions, demand, the woman yelled at me, that the full hip on the left side had to fall off the table. They caused these injuries. They did not make them worse they caused them in full. I did not have any injuries on the left side of my body before the MRI the joint replacement, the knee and hip, and my back were fine. This was not the ER this was the hospital though the ER did not do an x-ray and considering the hip replacement and how the injury to my back was right above it and at the top of that hip they should have because the hip is now damaged by this injury as well. The hospital doesn't care nor does my surgeon. I am updating this per May 4, 2025. I sent two letters to the CEO of the hospital, and finally received a response from the risk department. They said the person in imagery (they were people, so don't know which one they're talking about) said they did not ask me to hang my left hip off the table, so they chose to be totally dishonest in their response. That makes me even more committed to never using this hospital and warning others to think twice about it. And they never mentioned the injury to my hip - only the back. The other ER thought my hip replacement in that hip might have slipped due to the injury. I was so lucky it didn't. Please read through all the one-star - no good, reviews of this hospital. I have never seen so many 1 star reviews for a hospital. It is hundreds of horror stories. Please keep safe. read more

Upon the patient's 3rd visit to the emergency room in 4 weeks for the same life threatening issue, still nothing resolved and no answers and no one seems to care. The pulmonologist was supposed to see her this morning after being talked into staying overnight to the tune of $20k. It is now 12:30pm the next day and nothing. ABSOLUTELY THE MOST TERRIBLE HOSPITAL! HIPPA doesn't exist in the ER. Heard at least 6 people's personal information including SS# and medical issues. Flu-like symptoms with only vital sign taken was temperature. Tested for COVID which was negative. When asked about RSV Jill Robards NP said "RSV is only in children 6 and under". Hum.....guess she hasn't seen all the commercials for the RSV vaccine for the elderly. No final diagnosis and absolutely no discharge instructions. Left feeling worse. Attended the Emergency Room at this hospital. The care was okay, but I will never be returning and would not recommend to anyone. The woman who runs the insurance intake should not be working in healthcare. We filled out our information manually and then a couple hours later she came in our room and took the tablet without saying anything to us. Then, we proceeded to hear her TRASH TALKING LOUDLY OUTSIDE OUR ROOM. She ranted loudly about how we had purposely not filled out anything and that I was a "little girl" who was trying to get the visit free. This was loud enough that I am sure we were not the only patients who heard. She then stormed back in and refused to help us determine why it didnot work and just shoved the tablet back at my partner with another form screen, and certainly did not apologize for yelling about me outside of our room. It was completely unprofessional and abhorrent behavior for anyone in the medical field, let alone an emergency room. If I knew that this hospital treated their patients so horribly at the slightest issue I would have gone anywhere else. If this is how insurance intake treats people having emergencies I would hate to see what it is like elsewhere in the hospital. DO NOT GO HERE read more

Went to the ER with acute right upper quadrant pain. Took Dr. Seidel close to an hour to come in and see me. even more to get some sort of pain control onboard. Dr. Seidel ordered minimal diagnostic imagining. I was expecting a barrage of testing. My WBC count had doubled while I was there. Dr. Seidel sauntered in, leaned up against the wall and asked me what I thought the problem was. I told him it was my gall bladder. He said I was wrong and it was a kidney stone. I then informed him I was a 30 yr Paramedic. I have had kidney stones, I've treated kidney stone patients and he was wrong. He discounted me, kept asking me what if anything he could do for me. He would admit me if that's what I wanted. After six hours I left in worse pain than I arrived. Seven hours later, I got a hold of my Gastroentrologist where he was on call. He asked if I could make it to him. He was FURIOUS that he let me leave the hospital in pain. I then proceeded to have my gall bladder removed at another hospital. Dr. Joshua Seidel is the most INCOMPETENT D.O I've ever seen. read more

I went in at my Doctors request. She called and said I had to go to emergency room. She explained that my d dimer was critical. So I went. Waited about3 hours and they finally had a ultrasound on my leg. The technician refused to do both sides of my leg. I explained that the clotswere on other side of my leg. She said it didn't matter. Si then a PA brought me ti a sideroom and said tofollow up with my Doctor. I asked why my labs were so bad? She said she didn't know! I was so disgusted at this point . I delivered my son 2years ago here everything was great but when I delivered my daughter on may of 2023 the hospital changed a lot in a bad way my experience was horrible the lady's that do the epidural didn't know what they were doing I had to get poked 7 times and I know it wasn't me because with my other kids I never had this problem before with my epidural. I was admitted to the er at at Saint David's and I think that people that live around Georgetown it's a blessing because it was the best emergency care. I could have ever expected. very attend enough to treat me like I was a family member. from the nurse (male) with the bitching mustache . explained in detailed the healing process, my Dr called to make sure I was ok. it was overwhelming to a degree. I explained chemical dependency problems I had 30 years . they under stood treated me no no different and even listen to other problems I had going on. I recently was discharged from Saint David's rehabilitation Hospital in Georgetown after an almost 2 weeks stay there. There are many positive things I could say about the rehab unit on the third floor, but all that is really necessary to say is that they were a very professional, friendly, caring rehab unit. They were very prompt with any request I made and treated me with the upmost respect. After having a terrible experience at the Saint David's rehab in Austin, I was skeptical of what kind of rehab I would be receiving at the Georgetown location. Upon checking in my fears were quickly set aside and for the entire period of my stay they made it as enjoyable as possible for me. I highly recommend Georgetown rehabilitation, Saint David's. But do not confuse my recommendation and think I am talking about the downtown Austin location. They are at opposite ends of the spectrum. I wish to thank each and everyone of the employees on the third floor rehab at Saint David's Georgetown location. All of you were great and you're very much appreciated. Thank you. read more

We all love being in hospitals. Not. We all love knowing we have a good hospital nearby. Dang right. And we have a good hospital nearby in Georgetown. I have had to take my 83 y/o mom to the hospital multiple times. The ER was fantastic, albeit slower than you want because they can't just pull lab tests out of their...um...orifices. But they took tests and x-rays to make sure she was as healthy as she could be. When I had to admit mom, they explained the process and got her into a comfortable space. They offered a variety of food even for her finicky palate. And, most importantly, when I prayed they left me and mom alone to bring spiritual healing. I can't give 5 stars because, thank God, I haven't been to a 5-star emergency yet. But I give them 4-stars for comfort of being there and taking care of mom. Thank you!! read more
