Music was blaring through the speakers and they offer baseball bats or golf clubs or axes to smash with...its pretty cool You also have eye protection and gloves...I would recommend BRING YOUR OWN GLOVES. I also would recommend wear some type of hoody or jeans that you can change out of immediatley following because little shards of glass will be left all over. Next time I would choose a more expensive package. The one thing I will say is that after 10 minutes the guy came in and said "Just checking in" and we had already broken everything a few times over. 10 minutes is a LONG time for the cheap package. So we told him we were done and he said "no problem." It wasnt until the drive home when I realized that he was checking in at 10 minutes to see if we wanted to buy additional things to break...but he didnt say anything about that...if he was a salesperson and said "Hey guys checking in, what can i get you guys maybe a windshield, maybe a TV for $20? let me add some stuff for a discount since you two are rocking it!" I probably would have bought a lot of stuff. But this employee didnt try to sell me anything so we just left. Overall still great experience and 5 stars...I am just mentioning this for the management team and also for you guys if you choose to go, maybe choose the cheap package and ask if you can add on things as you break stuff.

Whisper halls is very much like being on a set of a scary movie (currently under construction in 2026 to be.... EVEN MORE SCARY, they say) 2. Toyshop is fun for all ages. I loved the tech they used and the whole family loved the experience. 3. Just did Containment Breach. Excellent puzzles (though the story was the weakest of the three). Enter "Escape Folsom" who provided a more engaging social interaction for those of us willing to take the risk with the Spirit & Heat of the 1800s 49ers Miners and Saloons! THE SETUP The whole idea of escape rooms is to put together a small group of people - ideally about eight (8)? - and give us some basic cryptic instructions on how we escape a room / wing of a building / structure. Some of these clues were MORE than cryptic. We were thrown into what looked like a bar from the 1890s in Old Sacramento. Old Register. Old timey phone. Old bar tops and stools. And yet some more modern items like a cigarette machine and a jukebox from the 60s. * Any string of numbers we saw could be a clue, such as the numbers we spotted on the telephone and the jukebox; * Any weird box with a number lock hold a clue if we could just unlock the lock; * And repeating songs we heard containing digits could hold the answer too. It took a some time trying to figure out what numbers went to which locks, and which items needed to be unlocked in sequence with reference to the other items. Yada Yada Yada, we DID IT! With 8 minutes of our hour left! THE BAR Escape Folsom's bar is legit. Post up. Grab a drink while you wait for the rest of your crew to show up. Or even host a quick birthday - like we did - for our friends Bambi and Kristen when we finally finished our escape - in their comfy bar nooks and rooms. GOOD TIMES. As a teacher, it gave me peace of mind knowing the children could play safely while still enjoying plenty of freedom to explore. There was also a nice covered area for parents and chaperones to relax, as well as a great space for eating and gathering as a group. This was our second year visiting, and it was just as fantastic as the first. The staff and facilities made our field trip easy and enjoyable from start to finish. The one we always go to in elk grove usually has the same themes, so we really enjoyed playing something different and we plan on returning soon.

I'd call them to confirm if you're unsure your group will be able to solve it. We were started promptly on time, and given the full time allowed - the operation runs smooth and the room was in great shape. All of the puzzles worked and nothing was finicky (a problem I've had with older rooms elsewhere). If there was an area to improve, it'd be posting each room's difficulty rating on the website - it's hard to estimate which ones would be good for your particular group when you're going just off the descriptions.

But Luckily there was a kind person who informed us of rules and etiquette. And yes I know there are rules posted right on the gates but completely overlooked it on accident. The courts open at 7am. But when I arrived at 7:20, all the courts were taken. Luckily the party I was with arrived at 7am and was able to snag a court. So definitely get there early or be prepared to wait. There is plenty of parking. Working toilets, real restrooms, not portable toilets. Thank goodness!

I've been to Roller King several times, usually for birthday parties, and it definitely has a…read morenostalgic charm. Walking inside feels like stepping back into the late '70s or early '80s, complete with the retro atmosphere and dim lighting. If you're looking for an old-school skating rink experience, this place delivers. There are plenty of rental skates available, and the facility generally does what it's intended to do, provide a place to skate and have fun. That said, don't expect a lot of modern amenities or extras. It's a fairly basic skating rink without many frills. One area that could use improvement is the snack bar. During my visits, it appeared that only one or two employees were trying to keep up with orders. While they were working hard, service was slow, and I observed an employee handling cash and then touching food items with the same bare hands, which was concerning. For beginners, the skate-assist devices are simply PVC pipe frames. Unfortunately, they feel somewhat unstable, which is the opposite of what most new skaters need when they're trying to build confidence on the floor. With Rollerland currently closed (hopefully only temporarily), Roller King is one of the few skating options left in the area. However, after visiting several other rinks around the Sacramento region, my two young daughters consistently prefer those alternatives. Overall, Roller King provides a decent, old-school skating experience, but there are definitely areas where it could improve.
