The pizza came out in large slices that could feed two kids each, but there were not enough slices for the number of children at the table. If the host had mentioned the party cut option, it would have made feeding everyone much easier. It seems like part of this recent trend of what I consider "corporate escape rooms." From the storefront, it looks like the rooms have pretty high production value. However, I've come to realize that more money dumped into visuals doesn't always mean more difficulty, creativity, or just overall fun. Nonetheless, I was quite surprised by the room my group decided to tackle, called The Heist. In an effort not to spoil the puzzles for anyone reading this review, the main things I want to point out are (1) the puzzles felt really organic and there were times where I felt like was really part of a heist, (2) there were several puzzles that really rode on the edge of what I would consider natural limitations, and (3) all of the puzzles worked the way they were supposed to, and some a bit overly precise. I'll always appreciate precision, regardless of how much it pisses me off in a room, though. My group and I have already booked our next challenge here, and are excited to see what else they have to offer. Highly recommend getting a large enough group together to fill all the spots, since they do allow other people to fill in to reach capacity, unless you're into meeting new people like that. To each their own!

Once we started shooting, the instructor would check in periodically with helpful tips, such as how long to hold the draw and adjusting my aim when my arrows were consistently landing high. I really enjoyed archery itself, although I wasn't especially impressed with the instructional aspect of the class. The guidance was helpful, but I would have appreciated more hands-on coaching throughout the lesson. My biggest criticism is that I think a beginner archery class should provide arm guards or, at the very least, strongly recommend them. As someone completely new to the sport, I didn't even know arm guards were standard equipment. As a result, my forearm ended up badly bruised and inflamed from the bowstring. After doing some research, I now understand how easily this can be prevented. I'll definitely make sure any future lessons or equipment rentals include an arm guard, but I think beginners should be informed about this before they start.

Instead of being friendly and helpful, several employees came across as short-tempered, rude, and irritated whenever guests had questions. Customer service is a huge part of any attraction, and it felt like some staff members didn't want to be there at all. The park itself is a cool concept and the quarry setting is impressive, but management seriously needs to address the staffing shortages and customer service issues. Paying premium prices only to spend a large portion of the day standing in line and dealing with unfriendly employees left a very disappointing impression. I won't be rushing back anytime soon.
