I had my reservations about this place, having seen it while shopping at the Galleria on numerous occasions. It seems like part of this recent trend of what I consider "corporate escape rooms." From the storefront, it looks like the rooms have pretty high production value. However, I've come to realize that more money dumped into visuals doesn't always mean more difficulty, creativity, or just overall fun. Nonetheless, I was quite surprised by the room my group decided to tackle, called The Heist. In an effort not to spoil the puzzles for anyone reading this review, the main things I want to point out are (1) the puzzles felt really organic and there were times where I felt like was really part of a heist, (2) there were several puzzles that really rode on the edge of what I would consider natural limitations, and (3) all of the puzzles worked the way they were supposed to, and some a bit overly precise. I'll always appreciate precision, regardless of how much it pisses me off in a room, though. My group and I have already booked our next challenge here, and are excited to see what else they have to offer. Highly recommend getting a large enough group together to fill all the spots, since they do allow other people to fill in to reach capacity, unless you're into meeting new people like that. We were looking to do an Escape Room on 4th of July (2025) and discovered the one we wanted to go to in Rocklin (Beat the Room) had closed its doors permanently! We didn't want to drive out to Folsom or Sacramento and have already done the rooms at Quandary in Roseville, so decided to check out Escape Game at the mall in Roseville. We were bummed when we saw that people could join your room if there were still spaces available. (Can hold 8 people, so if you only have 3 or 4, another family CAN join you.) I told my hubby that most people probably would check a different time rather than share a room, but he didn't want to take a chance. So I suggested we go LATE, after the fireworks, instead of daytime. That strategy worked out great. We showed up around 10PM and were willing to try the next escape room available that was wide open. We ended up doing Special Ops: Mysterious Market, and had a private experience. We've done around 13 Escape Rooms in 5 cities so far, and we all agreed this was one of our favorites...Top 3for sure. We especially loved the room we started in- the puzzles challenged us but we figured them out with little to no help. (Oh, and we LOVED the ambiance and setting! Felt very immersive. We've been in some escape rooms where the props were done kind of cheaply like a middle school art project. Not the case here. Good quality props, and fun puzzles!) The back half was a lot harder for us- we were very impressed with the technology there! It was more than we have had in other escape rooms, with the exception of the VR escape room. I would say difficulty is 8/10. Our game master/guide Andrew was wonderful. He kept his eyes/ears on us pretty well. We made sure we talked our thought process out loud so he could nudge us in the right direction if we were on the right track, or stuck and needed a hint. (Example without giving away spoiler: at one point , we felt we needed to do something physical but were afraid of damaging the prop. Andrew typed on the screen we were on the right track and it was okay to do what we had said out loud.) Fantastic experience! We definitely want to come back and try the other rooms! Oh - hint... check Groupon! They had discounts for groups of 4, 6, or 8 when I checked the next day, but we were only a group of 3, so the Groupon wouldn't have helped us, but maybe it works for your family. read more

This was our second visit and we had a blast. We came to celebrate a birthday, and their team set up a few balloons in the room which was a sweet surprise. Ryan was our host today, and he was very patient. At one point, we moved too far ahead of the game, and was pretty lost. He helped pause the clock, and moved a few pieces around to help us backtrack. There were still a few pieces of the puzzle we had to solve before moving forward. Thanks for the assist Ryan, we appreciate it. We tried The Heist this time, and would absolutely recommend! We played with two adults and two kids. I think we asked for help/clues 7-10 and escaped with 3 mins to spare. I would probably say 3-4 adults would've been sufficient for this game. Will absolutely be back for another visit. The price is $43 a person. Kids 5 and up were the same price as adults. 4 and under are free. It's on the pricier end, but they will price match with Groupon! Book ahead would be recommended. read more

While attending a work conference last week, we stopped to have some team fun! This was my first time ever at an Escape Room. We completed The Timeliner room with less than 2 minutes left on the clock! It was a fun and creative theme. While we started off a little slow, we quickly got in the groove to complete the challenge. I'm looking forward to the next opportunity to experience a new theme! Fantastic! We were a party of three, one a teenager, and we did the deep sea escape. It was only us three. The adventure was challenging, but definitely doable. Throughout our adventure, we did ask for clues when we got stuck. We finished with about a minute left! Our guide was Ryan and he was great. Very friendly and helpful. He explained everything very clearly. Every staff member we encountered was friendly. It was so much fun! We had a birthday, and the staff even made a beautiful card for her. We were able to rent out the room so that our family of 5 could have the room to presences while we played. We did the heist game and it was entertaining and just challenging enough. We escaped with 9 mins to go. The employees were sweet and even made a handwritten Mother's Day card for me while we played. Recommend! read more

We had a group of 5 adults and were paired with a random adult with their 2 kids (under 10). Didn't solve the room. They were in the way most of the time, and the employees made us feel like we had to make them feel included. Cool room, but wouldn't go back due to the shared party aspect. read more

Woah! This place is decked out. They did not skimp on all the bells and whistles. We (2 adults, 2 kids) came here for our twin's 7th birthday. We did the room "The Depths." When I tell you, I was impressed... I WAS Impressed! Terrence was our game master. He was knowledgable and kind, he made us all very comfortable and amped the kids up for their first escape room ever. Top Notch employee! The room itself was intricate and well decorated, we really felt out of Roseville, under the sea. The puzzles were fun and interactive. Both the kids had a blast figuring out what to do and what they can get their hands on. I was worried they were too young but that wasn't the case, I don't think my husband and I would have escaped without our kids help. About $40 a person, not the lowest pricing but honestly, it was worth it. Great fun. Great puzzling. Great memories. 5 out of 5 so glad I took my nieces here. Used a groupon, and took my nieces here after lunch. We did "The Depths". 7 on the difficulty scale. My nieces are 6, 8, and 10, and they were definitely able to carry me to victory. We did use some hints. I was impressed with the setting and the interactive technology. I don't want to say what exactly, because I think it adds to the surprise. The staff was so kind, they gave us a little extra time to make sure we got to the finishline. This new Escape Room venue just opened up in the Roseville Galleria (I think in Nov 2024). I'm a huge fan of puzzle games. The room I picked was "The Depths". Due to unforeseen circumstances, I ended up going solo, which was a bit daunting since I had only ever done one other escape room, and that was many years ago. I was immediately impressed with how well-decorated and high-budget the room was. Every prop, decoration, automation, and electronics was built specifically for this escape puzzle. There's a button to press for assistance, and I used it several times to help find the next clue. The staff were very good at giving vague hints, which was just enough to find the next clue. And once I found each clue, the puzzles themselves were intuitive (at least for someone experienced with puzzle games). I actually ran out of time, but the staff were super kind and gave me a few extra minutes to complete it. I'm guessing this was because I was solo'ing it, and because I got lucky there was no one booking the room afterwards. They even had a staff help join me with one of the final parts that was difficult to accomplish solo, which was above-and-beyond my service expectations. Easy 5/5 stars. read more

Lots of fun!! This was my first escape room experience & I can see what all the hype is about! I went with my husband & our best friends & their adult kids & we had a lot of fun. The tasks were challenging but not so hard that it was frustrating. And, there are endless hints (which we used plenty, lol!) One suggestion: I would go again but not with a large group- it made it difficult for everyone to participate with every task- would've been a better experience with maybe 4 people instead of 7 like we had in our party. Not the best experience this time. We've been here a few times and had a great experience but this time we had randoms join our room. It's super awkward! We had a group of 5 with teen boys and got a random little girl added to our group. We did The Depths and there wasn't really enough to keep everyone working on something with a group of 7. This room is better suited for a group of 4-5 people. The staff tried to make the experience better and were helpful but escape rooms are better with friends/family, not randoms. read more
