There I am, on the corner of Aero Drive and Ruffin Road, heading back to the office after lunch and right when the light turned green to go onto Ruffin my cars alternator decides to die. My car rolled right up to the right side of the lane and I had no other choice but to hurry back to the office immediately, not to be late for a 1pm appointment. All I was thinking about was..."now what am I going to do?" My car's stranded and I am not in a good place right now. Who do I call for a tow?. I couldn't had been any luckier that day because when looked up from cursing at my car, there was Aero Auto Repair a "Cert Female Friendly" business they say...ohhhh...and let me tell ya...YES THEY ARE! :) Calling friends to arrange for a tow, I asked them to call Aero and see if they would tow or push my car to their shop and assess the vehicles demise. Within minutes I get a call from Ryan...let me tell you ladies...he's the most adorable young man. So polite and sweet and very professional...you would want your daughters dating this one. He drove to my office and picked up my keys, and assured me that my car was in good hands. Ryan was very attentive and he listened to what I needed to have done to the car, in addition to the alternator repair. Listening is key to understanding a customer and their wants and needs. Ryan did a fantastic job. Many people hear what you say...but most don't listen. He listened. Thank you. Aero Auto Repair had my car up and running in few days. Wow...I knew I was in good hands as soon as I talked to Ryan over the phone and when he came out of his way to drive to my office and pick up my keys and help get my vehicle off the road. There is no doubt in my mind who I will be coming to for repairs for my car. Thank you Aero Auto Repair! I thank you, your staff, the owners and Ryan for a fabulous car repair experience! Trust the one stars it's true don't take your car there. First you have to deal with a Receptionist Who tries to be a service writer no experience.. You tell her one thing that's wrong with your car and she puts down it's something else and you end up paying for what she writes up not for what is actually wrong with your car then you have to come back and explain to them that the work did not get done. Then you have to argue with the manager of the shop who doesn't believe you and tells you that that's what you wrote down which is not true because you're telling the receptionist and she's typing it down while you're telling her what's you want fixed on your car. And by the way the receptionist name is Britney And the manager of the shops name is Butch. So what originally was wrong with my truck Is when I put it in park on the shifter by the Steering wheel The gear mechanism does not lock into place so it doesn't roll forward or backwards instead they adjusted my brakes. Job completed they said ....wrong if I wasn't paying attention my truck it would have hit another car at the gas station. I immediately went back to the shop asked to talk to the owner and their response was that's not gonna happen that I will only talk to the shop manager butch. After arguing with her And her telling me that they messed up she would only refund 85.11 it took them almost a month to send out a check for $85.11 after Two weeks Of them dodging my calls I inform them I have not received a check. They lied and said they sent it out a week ago they will stop payment on it and send me another check. A week later received the check in my mailbox with a check with my name on it but the wrong address on it how could they mess up and put the right address in front of the envelope but not on the check just to show you how messed up this shop is I would not recommend repair shop to anybody. read more

Initially, I had a negative experience with the staff, but everything changed when the new manager, Carlos, reached out to me directly. He asked for the opportunity to make things right, which already spoke volumes about his dedication to customer satisfaction. I was skeptical of his motives and did not trust him to be honest. But he apologized for what happened in the past, explained how he is retraining the staff and was very detailed in his plan to win back my business. Carlos explained that the catalytic converter in my vehicle was most likely under warranty, and it wouldn't make sense for me to spend money getting it repaired elsewhere. Although I was initially skeptical of the "I'll give you more of a bad thing for free" approach, Carlos's effort and genuine concern convinced me to give him a chance. Not only did Carlos replace my daughter's catalytic converter for free, but he also didn't charge for the diagnostic or labor. He went above and beyond by performing a full inspection of the vehicle, providing a detailed list of everything that needed attention. Carlos organized the quote by priority, ensuring I understood what was urgent and what could wait. Throughout the process, Carlos over-communicated and managed my expectations perfectly. He apologized for the previous mishaps, kept his word, and provided exceptional service. This experience exceeded my expectations, especially considering my last visit. I see all these great reviews. I was not impressed with the service that I received. I went to them for a 100k mile service. I wanted the belts replaced and everything that is part of that service. Let them know this and I wanted to make sure the timing belt was replaced. They responded with let us do the oil change and the 50 point inspection. This will tell us what you need. They said bring it in at 730 the next morning and they will take care of it. Turned it in and they gave me a ride to work and I waited for the phone call to tell me what I would need and when to pick up my car. Did not receive a call till 430. They did say that your front shocks are leaking and needs to be replaced. Replacing the spark plugs, belts, and shocks will be around $1500. Though that a little steep but if everything is taken care of so be it. They were not getting it done today so they did offer a discounted rental car option. So rented a car for 58 (24 for the rental and rest was insurance and fees). Picked up my car the next day at 5 and paid the $1700. Was signing the paperwork and there was a note about the check engine light. Yes the check engine light was on when I first brought it in but expected that the 100k miles service would include noticing the check engine light and seeing what code that would be. I said can you at least reset it and tell me what the code is? They did it without a problem but now I question what other items I would expect to be done was not because I didn't request it. Aero Auto came with an outstanding recommendation and they exceeded any expectations I may have had! I had a last minute check engine light issue that involved my vehicle running rough. I was very concerned and called in to see if they could help.. despite my worry, they really made me feel like things were going to be taken care of promptly and it was going to be alright! They were very professional and knowledgeable in their advice prior to my arrival. Once I got to the shop they took the time to find out just what had happened and made sure they had all the info to accurately diagnose the issue. I was able sit back in a super comfortable recliner couch, check out a great photography book, charge my cell phone on their multi charger unit and they gave me regular progress reports to let me know what they have found. They even popped some popcorn for me to tide me over while I waited (I skipped lunch with the car issue). I cant say enough nice things about the stellar service I received from Sharon, Gary, Lynette...Just everyone was awesome! Even the Mechanic working on my car came to me twice to give me a detailed description/progress report...I have NEVER had that level of customer service in a Auto repair shop. My daughter is young woman with little automotive know how. When she had automotive issues and was looking for help in a crisis she fell into the hands of an outfit called Aero Auto repair. When I got involved I cross referenced the costs quoted to her and found them severely inflated. They were much more (nearly double) compared to my trusted mechanics. We tried to get them to match the other service but we could not get to an agreement. Typically, the diagnostic fee is rolled over into the cost of the repair. NOT so with Aero. When they found I was not a "push over" they adjusted the repair cost (suddenly there was a much less expesive option that was not offered before) However they would NOT roll over the diagnostic fee. This made them more expensive and we had the vehicle towed out of there. Do they have good service? Couldn't say. When we showed up to get the car out of there we found a very large expensive building with clean waiting rooms and fancy bathrooms. The slogan on the building was ... "Female Friendly". WHAT does that mean? In my experience this means that they will be friendly, tidy and accommodating and then charge the "little lady" an very large amount. These guys are complete clowns. I hired them to fix my cooling fan which was causing a serious rattle. They ordered the incorrect part three times which took several days of my car being gone because they didn't know how to order the correct part. When they finally got my car back to me they explained how they were sure they got it right this time. After a week my car overheat on the 15 freeway with my Wife and two small children inside. We had it towed to a shop near my house in San Marcos and the tech there showed me how Aero Auto had ordered the wrong cooling fan, and because the screws didn't line up, had used a zip tie to put the cooling fan on. Then the Tech tightened it so tight trying to force the wrong piece to fit, that it cracked the anti freeze tank, which led to the eventual overheating and putting my family at risk. I called Aero Auto to discuss a refund for the faulty work and was GHOSTED by the staff and Owner himself over a six week period. Nothing was ever refunded even though their work cost me an extra $600 in repairs and replacements. Do not use this business. In my opinion, they don't have the ethics to deserve your business. Wow! Am I at an auto repair shop or a 5 star hotel?!? This place is like no other auto repair shop that I have ever been to. These people really care about elevating the image of auto repair. Every time I bring my car to Aero I have such an amazing experience. The people there are so kind, caring and hospitable. They really go out of their way to make sure that you are comfy, cozy and well taken care of. The technicians there are great too! They always do such a great job at looking over my car and work really well with the service advisors when making recommendations. Aero always tells me EVERYTHING that my vehicle needs without putting unnccessary pressure on me to get everything done. They help me prioritize my repairs with my budget and I always leave with peace of mind that my car is safe and I have a game plan for the future. You really get what you pay for here too. I have worked at and managed repair shops all my life. I have always provided great customer service and this shop still exceeded my expectations! Not just one person, but EVERYONE at this shop has excellent customer service skills. I feel that if I was training a new hire I would first send them to Aero Auto to have their car serviced. I have found that a repair shop is in a difficult position because everyone that walks through the door needs repairs or maintenance which was not in their monthly budget. Their car is the 2nd most important thing to them and when it breaks down their world comes to a grinding halt. As a repair shop adviser you generally do not talk to happy people which makes it difficult to turn the experience into a good one. This is where Aero Auto excels. Every time I left this place I was happier than when I went in. The fact that they take such good care of me shows they take great care of my car too. If you are reading this, THERE IS NO REASON TO TAKE YOUR CAR ANYWHERE ELSE! read more

I am super happy with the service I got at Aero! I have a 90 toyota pick up that has had a check engine light on for about 2 years. I have taken it to the 3 mechanics and the toyota dealer and none of them were able to find the issue. They all made repairs non of which fixed the issue. Then that day came when I needed to get the emissions done. I did a little research on Car Talk's Mechanics Files and found Aero since they are a Star location and a certified repair shop (just incase I was ready to apply for the waiver). Anyway, Ryan got my "i know everything speech" which was probably annoying to say the least (sorry Ryan!). I gave in and said give it your best and in about an hour he called me to say they found two small issues and gave it a run on the Smog machine and it PASSED! They also found a few other suggested repairs that will help us keep running for a while. Thanks again! read more

It is almost impossible to find a mechanic that is honest, and does a good job. This place does all that and more. I KNOW that they will find out what is wrong and fix it correctly the first time. I had an ongoing problem with my brakes (caused by a shop that ONLY did brakes - go figure, oh and is now out of business). I had gone to the dealer, outisde mechanics, replaced everything more than once, but once I found this place they got it right the FIRST TIME. Seriously this had gone on for years. I know everyone in the front by first name and when you walk in its like going to cheers because everybody knows your name as well. They are friendly ALWAYS and professional to a point. I like them so much I took them a cake when Iknew they had to work on a holiday I had off. I've never done that for a mechanic before!!! Love this place. Only five stars? I'd give 10 if I could. I was worried about going in for my oil change because I'm SO used to being told I need to (no, HAVE to) buy this, that, or the other or my car will supposedly break down on the way home. I even told a co-worker I was headed to get an oil change but I wasn't going to buy whatever they were selling. So imagine my surprise when that didn't happen, at all. Not only that, the price was great and I was able to use my AAA discount. And Lynette provides AWESOME customer service...she just seems like such a genuinely friendly person and makes everyone feel so welcome. This was a really positive experience for me and I'll be back. In fact, although I hope my car doesn't need a repair anytime soon, if and when it does, I will feel completely comfortable taking my car to Aero Auto Repair. read more
