I took a chance with the Groupon thinking that I wasn't losing much anyways, trusting some of the good reviews on here and on Groupon. It was a MISTAKE. I purchased the ombre brows package with touch up. My first session: Sabina seemed nice and straightforward. There was a $55 tax on top of it which I was fine with. The results coming out of the sessions, of course, were good. But this is expected because it's a huge difference from the sparse brows I've had before. I avoided water and sun during the normal scabbing process afterwards. And then two weeks later, I was left with pink naked mole rat brows. I was a bit concerned and Sabina told me the pigment will come back. Four weeks later - nothing. Still naked mole rat brows. She then told me it's perfectly normal and said the final results are after the touchup. Okay, I trusted the process despite all my friends having perfect brows after their first session. I then went in for a touchup. I was 10 mins late to the appointment, this is true but I had texted letting her know I was already walking from the train. When I walked in, there was already another client in the waiting room with numbing cream on her brows waiting to be seen. Frankly, there was some double booking involved and I sat in the waiting room for the numbing cream and saran wrap on my brows for a good 40 mins. I got pretty annoyed because I knew that numbing cream esp lidocaine shouldn't be on for that long because 1) I'm a pharmacist. With the saran wrap, the cream would act like a patch. A lidocaine patch placed for 40 or so mins would change the texture and consistency of your skin, causing it to not take pigment. 2) Another microblading artist who has been doing this for quite a while told me that it should only be on for 20 mins max. 3) I only had it on for 15 mins during the first session and with no saran wrap. When I brought it up to her after 40 mins, she told me it had to be on for at least 15 mins. I was pretty frustrated for being double booked and knew that the pigment would not take anyways. I felt it was pretty unprofessional to be left there like that too so I left. When she tried calling me and texting me to come back and she was highly unprofessional. She was clearly pissed and unapologetic. I went back to her since I thought that if she's right, the touchup should give me the results I wanted. FALSE. It went the exact same way as the first time; great looks after my session but after 2 weeks of scabbing and avoiding water, I still had naked mole rat brows. No pigment, just scarring. I messaged her about it and she told me to wait 2 more weeks. Now it's been 4 weeks and no pigment has returned at all. You can see the final product in the pictures. This was after she PROMISED my brows would be back after my one-month touch up. Clearly she was wrong. Even worse was when I approached her about it after it all, she blamed ME viciously by text for the brown pigment that she herself decided to use for my brows saying that it was my fault that it did not stay. I have no idea how you can blame me for your incompetence when all I did was lay still for an hour and let you do your job. Sabina is thoroughly rude and needs a certification on how to speak to people before she even starts to ruin other people's lives with her scams. Honestly, the whole experience was nothing short of horrific and I can't believe I was sold this idea that she is competent. Now I'm about $300 short and with ugly pink brows. I wish I could get my money back because this was a scam. It was a dire waste of time, hope, and physical pain. It probably would've been more bearable if she actually admitted fault but she saw these fail brows as somehow being all my problem. Go to a real artist, preferably someone who is recommended by a friend. That's what I'm gonna do right now to correct this. Please DO NOT put yourself through this too and learn from my mistake!
