I showed the technician a picture of what microneedling is, as she did not know (this should have been my first sign). I am not sure if the language barrier or general communication got in the way, but the girl ended up doing a hydrafacial instead. I admit I didn't fully understand what she said, however, I did not appreciate the "do what I want" style. During the facial, the girl brought in a machine for the hydrafacial and it did not work. I am not sure if she was new, but it was extremely distracting during the facial, and eventually she brought in another machine. I found it tough to try to relax through all the commotion, and the fact that the girl did not wear gloves while moving all these machines and touching equipment, and coming back to my face without washing her hands. I am no expert, however having clean hands when your work requires touching someone's face and doing extractions, is a pretty fair ask. I have very sensitive skin, I did not appreciate her touching my face with her bare hands after her return. I will not return, unfortunately this was a waste of money and time. I have never walked out of a facial more stressed than before, counting down the minutes for it to be over.

Scalp cleaning and massage to the head, shampoo that cater to my hair type, massage on the neck and shoulders, hair streaming, and blow dry. Truly worth the money and time if you can splurge.

The session runs about an hour and it is a fun experience, as you can see from the pictures. After that we moved into the foot massage, and for me that was the highlight of the whole visit. I will be honest, there were moments when the pressure hit some sensitive spots and I may have startled the technician a little. I learned that removing blackheads/extraction is quite different from one another. At New Hope, the basic facial includes black head removal, not a intense extraction (which was what I was expecting since this was included in my previous facial experiences). If you wanted a more intense extraction to remove any forming pimples/dirt under pores, this will cost more, which may be worth it since Cici seems very knowledge in working with individuals who has acne issues. If you're looking for a fancy/clean/quiet/peaceful ambiance, this is not the place for you. They do not have individual rooms, all the facial beds were separated by a fabric room divider, you can hear everything - from other clients talking, to someone walking into the salon. I didn't mind the noise but I wished it was more quiet. For $40, you get what you pay for. And Cici is amazing!!!! I've gotten lashes done many times and it does not feel as full as the rest of the times I have done them. She was pretty fast though which I appreciated (took less than 45 minutes) and I had extra time on my parking meter! I personally don't think I would go back again because I felt like I did not get the most out of the deal, and their longevity isn't as great as other places. Ms Julie explained to me what's the purpose of soaking the hot tub and benefits and she started to masssge my body with oil plus a stick .
