On the morning of my appointment, she texted me asking if I could come at an earlier time. I said yes. Unfortunately, I was running late, so I let her know over text. She called me and very brashly asked if I was on my way. I reassured her that I was close by, but she sounded very annoyed and repeated several times that it was "15 minutes past my appointment time." I apologized and drove as fast as I could to the location. Upon arrival, I parked in the back of the building and called her again to make sure I was in the right place and did not need to pay for parking. She ignored my question and told me to RUN up the stairs because she had a client coming in 20 minutes and she was "not sure what she could do for me" because I was, again, "WAY past my appointment time." She said to hurry because I also had to sign waiver forms. My assumption is that Mika had booked clients back to back that day because if she had a client coming in 20 minutes, that meant that my entire appointment was only 40 minutes long (which, in my opinion, is too short to give proper care and attention anyway). I had trouble finding the stairs to go up to the salon so called her one more time, only for Mika to say, "You know what, I can't take you anymore, there's not enough time." I said sorry again for being so late and asked if I could just get my old appointment slot back (later that day). She said no, she had already filled it so I had to figure something else out. TL;DR: I was super late to my lash lift appointment and it ended up getting cancelled. Therefore, I cannot speak to Mika's skills as a lash tech or quality of service. However, I am leaving this review to inform everyone of the unprofessional correspondence I had with her. Maybe she was just under a lot of stress today, I don't know. Regardless, there is no need to speak to anyone so rude and condescendingly, especially not a potential paying client.
