This ER could not be worse. The doctor who was working on 7/2(Saturday) around 6pm who wanted to Brag that he was almost done with his shift. I haven't had someone brag to me in excitement that their work day was almost over since I was in high school and my friend worked at the local convenient gas station but yet a doctor who was so horrible in every regard bragged about getting off his shift and ready to leave. If I could give zero stars I would. Reading over past reviews describing the employees here as unprofessional and accusatory of their patients is still extremely accurate. I went in with complaints of a possible yeast infection and as soon as I stepped in the back I was bombarded by three nurses at once. Two who were much more cold, and of course those are the individuals asking me to describe my symptoms. With two people asking me questions at the same time I became overwhelmed, and as I attempted to describe my symptoms all I got were confused looks and a cold shoulder. Considering these lady's have actual vaginas too I would assume it would be a bit easier explaining the complex nature of my symptoms. But no, I was told that since I shaved I must've cut myself and due to me itching that's why I was red and sensitive down there. I would never imagine having a bacterial infection mansplained by two female nurses. Absolutely not acceptable. Also, durning the line of questioning I was asked if I smoke and I do have my medical card so I answered yes and explained that, I was met with an eye roll and the nurse replied "Tobacco products" then asked me if there are any conditions I suffer from, I blindly answered no and then was cut off with "well then what do you have your medical card for" I explained it was for anxiety. And as I was going to the bathroom to get a pee sample for them I over hear the nurses laughing over my anxiety diagnosis. One nurse literally said " I don't know about any of that but her heart rate is 120 so she is anxious". I don't think it is professional to downplay my anxiety disorder in any fashion. That was disgusting to me. I am sure the nurses drilled it into the doctors head that I was just over reacting and just injured myself shaving, because when the doctor came in he was on the same foolishness. I had to then drill it into the doctors head that I did NOT "cut" myself and I wanted a test done to ensure it was not a yeast infection. When the results came back of course it was an actual infection (BECAUSE PATIENTS KNOW THEIR BODIES). When the doctor came in to deliver the results he truly seem to get a kick out of the fact that I was indeed not over exaggerating as all of the staff believed I was. The condescending attitude does not stop there, as he was explaining the illness and treatment I am nodding my head yes because I am trying to retain all this information and the doctor stops and asks "have you had this before because you're doing a lot of nodding like you know what I'm talking about". The only positive of that place is I was able to get a dose of the medicine I needed before leaving, and that does not outweigh the way these people treated me and other patients in the past. This place was a last resort for relief due to me getting off work past 10:30pm and looking back, I would've waited till the morning to see an group of medical individuals who actually give a fuck about their patients. The staff is a sad excuse for a medical team and all seem incompetent, even the doctor. You could not pay me to step foot in that building again. read more

I previously had a bad experience with a doctor in this hospital. After speaking to the hospital manager about the issues I dealt with regarding this incident I am very happy to hear that this doctor has been relieved of his duties there. I'm basing my updated review on individual parts of this hospital: -FACILITY- Cleanliness: 5* Wait times: 5* Technology: 5* -COMMUNICATION- 5* -STAFF- Doctors: Of two visits I had, one doctor was excellent (5*) and the other was the worst doctor I've ever had(1*). Nurses: (5*) anytime I visited they were extremely kind with great bedside manner. Because the hospital made the choice to listen to their patients regarding one of their doctors behavior and took these accusations seriously, I will disregard the (1*) caused by the bad doctor, since no other parts of either visit was anything other than exceptional care. I cannot review costs because my insurance covered all the billed expenses from both visits, so I do not know what the expenses were. read more

PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONABLE! I went to ER 24/7 in Palm Harbor on Sunday, January 14, 2018, with the ongoing effects of a stomach bug that would not let go. I was greeted warmly and taken to an exam room immediately. Lab work was done with prompt results. (Kudos to Nurse David on finding my elusive veins on the first stick!) Dr. Wallace was attentive and knowledgeable. Registration and questions about insurance coverage came AFTER my treatment. The entire staff was caring and cordial. They even followed up with a phone call the next day to see how I was doing. I have read the mixed reviews, but based on my experience, I would highly recommend ER 24/7 in Palm Harbor. read more

I went there this morning with EXTREME pain in my abdomen. The staff treated me like I was over exaggerating the whole time. The doctor on staff was not personable at all. I had many questions that he wouldn't make time for even though I was the only patient in the ER at the time. When I went to leave they asked if I still had pain, which I did, they made me sign release forms and sent me on my way without taking a further look into my issue. While on vacation we had an accident with my 2 yr old. We walked in the door at 9:12 pm and was out by 10pm. In this time we did registration, seen a Dr., recieved medication, had 4 xrays done, talked to the Dr. again and was discharged. Where we live this short 45 ER visit would have cost us 5 hours or more. They staff was wonderful. Was willing to sit and listen to our issue and explain what needed to be done. It was wonderful that there was a pediatrics entrance and an adult entrance. They was not all mixed together. Highly recommend this ER. read more

My husband was having signs of a possible stroke. Took him here to get checked out. We can't say enough about the wonderful care he got especially with his nurse, Wendy. Everyone was so helpful and professional. We're snowbirds and this was the first time we ever had encountered a situation like this. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. BUYER BEWARE, See Dusty's story further down this page as the very same thing happened to my family. Except we were taken advantage of on Christmas Eve when no urgent care facilities were open. Less than 30 minutes in this place with excellent care given over the course of 5 minutes ...quick check of vitals, children's Motrin and a rapid strep test. Insurance billed $3600 and my out of pocket is $1400. Currently appealing these unjustified charges through a healthcare advocate but they won't discuss with them even though I signed a form giving permission. Billing department is rude saying I don't have the right to challenge their charges even though they sent me a letter saying they will conduct an audit and responds this way when I asked for the results. I have never received results of the audit. They also will not give me any names of management or allow me to talk to anyone up the chain of command beyond billing supervior. She said "I am it, there is no one else!" When I Asked for a detailed bill...received after requesting for 2 months....it shows 3 charges including an ER room charge. We never had a room. $37 for a dose of children's Motrin and over $900 for a strep test. Same test can be ordered on internet for $75-$90. No warning at all when you walk in that they charge more than 100 times more than a walk in clinic but provide the same service. Same out of pocket at urgent care for strep test is $115. Stay away from this organization.... Baycare is a great option. I have always had fair pricing and great service, care and doctors at Baycare hospitals. Notice on other posts how they respond only to compliments not complaints. Maybe this time will be different but I doubt it. I am willing to return the Motrin, replace the rapid strep test and even buy them a new chair to replace the one my daughter sat in for 5 -10 mins to cover their costs at a much more reasonable healthcare cost. I did pay the doctor the $96 bill he charged since it was customary and reasonable. Have discussed this with other doctors in the area.... they were disgusted. read more

I have only good things to say about ER 24/7. I have gone there several times because, as you know, things happen beyond normal office hours. I have always been treated fairly and with respect. The staff is caring and thorough. I have never had an issue with insurance either. This place is top notch in my opinion. read more

We were visiting from out of state. Husband came down with a respiratory infection and this place was recommended because they had recently opened. He spent maybe an hour there. They did do a chest x-ray and gave him a breathing treatment for pneumonia. Charged our insurance company just under EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!! This place is a total scam. I definitely recommend you STAY AWAY. This apparently is NOT what one would consider a standard urgent care facility. I could see charging in the hundreds but seriously EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS??? They need to be reported. Obviously we will be contesting this craziness. It would have been even higher I'm sure if my husband had let them do all they wanted to do. He was adamant it was a respiratory issue and after they did the chest x-ray they came in the room with an EKG machine. He stopped them and said enough. Don't go here! read more
