This Urgent Care Facility is top-notch, and I recommend using them anytime you're in a pinch for care!

As far as a walk in they are clean and pretty. Front desk staff leaves something to be desired. Has to see the doctor twice to get them to take me seriously. Not sure that this would be my first choice of places to come to as after 2 times being seen by them with little assistance I went elsewhere and they took my concerns seriously and I actually got better. read more

I had a quick visit here a few days ago. The reception was friendly enough and I didn't have more than a 5 minute wait. The facility is fairly nice. I was pretty badly misdiagnosed, though, and when I called back to attempt to ask a few questions when I wasn't getting better, the care provided went from bad to worse. I ended up having someone take me to the ER and needed emergency surgery. I wish I wouldn't have gone here, paid for a doctor to not really listen, and then suffer for an extra 18 hours unnecessarily. I think if you're coming here for a physical it's probably fine. For acute care, I might consider elsewhere. read more

KEEP YOUR MONEY, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! THEY DO NOT CARE!!! My son started a new job and was between insurance policies but needed to see why he had a rash on his hand. We were greeted by two young ladies with quite the superiority complex and horrible 'bedside manner'. When he showed them his hands they looked grossed out one of the girls actually said 'ew'. It took him a bundle of courage to walk in there, he was already very insecure about his hands, they 'ew' comment did not help. It was so very unprofessional. They actually said 'what is that?' He said he wasn't sure, that is why he was there - seeing a Doctor and when he began so say he was looking up on Google to get an idea, he was rudely interrupted about how Google is not a doctor. OK, that may be right but these girls where terribly young and are mere receptionists at a Doctors Express, not Doctors I am sure. He said the thought it was a form of strep but on the epidermis, one of the receptionists actually corrected him and said that is from your throat, not your skin. OK, again you are a receptionist, not a Doctor. He had what he thought, strep and was sent on his way with a prescription - this was after being schooled by Dr. Grimes on whatever the hell he thought he needed to talk about for over 30 minutes. It was ridiculous! We don't want to hear about the medical industry and be spoken to as if we were idiots and lectured on how he now just works to finally pay himself for once in his life and deserves it- it is called Doctors EXPRESS - not pay over $200 and get lectured by some old guy and get treated like crap by two snobby little girls. My son needed to go to work and I had a day full of errands to take care of. After a week or so the rash reappeared and when he called they said the doctor would refill his penicillin. Twice I went to the pharmacy to pick up a new prescription. Nothing. No straight answer, just the back and forth between the pharmacy and the 'Doctors' office. We found out after many phone calls and talking to many not so nice receptionists that you cannot get prescription refills at Doctors Express, it doesn't matter the circumstances, they do not care! So the pharmacy kept doing what they thought was right and sending a fax requesting a refill. Please know that if you have an issue that may need additional attention, Franchises like Doctors Express are not here to help you! My son was told in order to get a refill he must pay for an entirely new visit. It did not matter if what he was prescribed does not work, they don't care if he can barely move his hands....it doesn't matter. So I would strongly recommend if you are in the area, visit Kent Urgent care who is a member of Kent Multi Care. read more

Anyone in the Kent area looking for an amazing Urgent Care, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! The staff is so thoughtful and caring, and you can tell they really enjoy their jobs. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND with my husband and I, who unfortunately got the H1N1 flu bug. Our doctor was extremely informative without being too stuffy or rude. My husband and I walked into this clinic on a Friday evening at around 7:30 because our fourteen month old son had a fever of 102.4 and was crying non stop. He wasn't eating and he wasn't sleeping. When we walked in a young nurse urgently informed us that they were closed even though their windows state, as clear as day, that they are open 8am - 8 pm. She did not even say it nicely. She said, "We're closed." She did not even ask us what was wrong. They are an urgent care facility and she is a nurse. We then needed to scramble to the nearest Urgent Care Clinic. Luckily there was a competent one a few miles away. We walked into that clinic at 7:59 and they still helped us. That nurse at the Doctor's Express is clearly in the wrong field of work. When my husband and I returned to the clinic to speak with the owner he of course apologized and said that he had REPEATEDLY "discussed the hours of operation" with his staff. When we stated that we walked in at 7:30 the nurse behind the desk corrected us and said it was 7:45. Still not 8 o'clock. We learned that my son had a severe viral infection and needed medicine. I could understand turning away patients THIRTY MINUTES BEFORE CLOSING if it was not a life threatening emergency. But we went there because our small baby son had a 102 fever and was not eating or sleeping. If this does not qualify as an emergency then I don't know what does. read more

Worst receptionists ever!! Staci is by for the worst person ever!! When we came in we stood there for 5 mins before we were even greeted for her to finish her conversation! WE had to say hi to her first! What kind of customer service is that?! And on top of that she wasn't helpful and told us to Email her our papers and when we asked for the wifi to send her the documents, she just said "I don't know." I would think at a clinic you would learn or know how to treat clients and future customers!!! I will be telling EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY from this clinic!! This place is clean, new and gives good service. I live in Kent and whenever I need same day care, I come here because often I cant get in same day at my primary care doc. office. Also, DR Express has better hours than most Urgent Care offices. If you live in Kent, you may have gone to health point or multi care in downtown Kent. This place is a great alternative, as its not as overwhelmed, has better hours, and it's much cleaner- so you wont contract a new disease by just being there ;). I've been in for a UTI, despite the fact that the lab results took a while (outside company), the service I received that day provided by Dr. Piatt was great. I was even able to talk to him over the phone for a while when I felt that it wasn't going away. Most places wouldn't even put you through to the doc and would just make you come in again. I recently came in for a foot injury and they were able to give me an X-ray then and there and analyze the results quickly. If I had gone to my primary care Dr., I probably would have been sent to a radiologist at Valley Med., (taking even more time), and then gone back in to a doc. just to get the results. Plus that route would be much more expensive. read more

Had to visit AFC several times over the past 3 years. Once for an injury and twice for DOT physicals. The staff is very friendly/knowledgeable and each visit has a positive experience. One thing is that it is a walk in clinic so you might need to wait a bit to be seen (but not too long!) but it's been worth it. read more

I took my teenage daughter here for an upper respiratory infection that had been going on for well over a week. The actual clinic was clean and very nice looking. The exam rooms were quite nice. Staff was friendly and somewhat attentive. From the time we walked in the door to the time we walked out it took over 2 1/2 hours! There was only one other person in the waiting room when we arrived so they definately were not packed. The physician was, well, was lacking in bed side manner. My daughter gagged with the tongue depressor and he actually scolded her! He told her that 'everyone' can do the tongue depressor. (wow, way to connect with the patient). He barely looked at her when talking to her, instead spending time on his ipad with notes. We discussed her symptoms: more than 9 days of symptoms that were worsening. He refused to order antibiotics (CDC and AAFP recomend antibiotics after 7 days). I told him that her cough was keeping her awake at night and we were using the strongest OTC available - he wouldn't order cough medicine. I had to almost beg him for a steroid pack! Next day we went elsewhere and they ordered the antibiotics and prescription strength cough syrup - she quit coughing that night! So - staff and the actual clinic would get 4 starts. BUT the doctor and the ridiculous wait time earns them 1 star. Definitely will not be going back. read more

Called over here to see what the wait was like. 1/2 hour or less. Great! Where I was waiting previously was over an hour. Went over here, one person waiting. Got in within 15 mins and saw the dr in under 30. I have a bad sinus infection and already knew my diagnosis, so I was in need of prescription meds. Dr came in and checked me over thoroughly and I was done. Very easy and friendly. Will be coming back if I need something fast! read more

new to Washington, from the Bay Area in California, the other evening, i had the worst migraine headache since many years ago when i would have to go to the ER for shots. I couldn't stop vomiting long enough to hold down my migraine medication. After calling our doctor and getting no response, my hubby packed me up in the car, pillow and bucket and ice bag in tow, and off to the urgent care we went. Arriving in tears and severe stabbing pain and nausea, Paris, the receptionist immediately found me a room, and Kara made sure all the lights were turned off, due to my sensitivity to light. Dr Piatti immediately gave me the anti emetic that i needed, which allowed me to take my own migraine med, and by 15 min, my nausea was gone, and by an hour, my headache was. Kind, compassionate, empathetic caregivers. I never experienced this level of generosity of spirit and thoughtfulness in urgent cares or hospitals for that matter, than we have since coming to Washington. Avoid at all costs. This place is horrible! I came in for a pre employment drug screening at 11:45 am and still here waiting. It's a urgent care clinic so they treat the drug screeners like garbage. My screening expired at 12pm and rude lady with dark hair upfront told me I had to call the HR to extend. I didn't know the HR number as it's a third party with my future employer. I was so stressed out for severa moments until another lady grabbed the sheet and called the e screen company. I'm still here waiting and I've never been treated so poorly. I would never go to this clinic for anything ever again. read more

There was 4 staff members that I came in contact with (two front desk, medical assistant and doctor). Each of them treated me with the best care possible during a horrible situation. Doctor Aaron was great. As for the front desk personnel they are very unfriendly and don't know the value of customer service. They don't seem to like their job, so they should probably try to go find a different one that doesn't involve interacting with customers or go to charm school. The prescription I was given was one that was not covered by my insurance, the pharmacy I went to faxed some different suggestions back to the AFC but the Dr. I saw wasn't in, I asked to speak to the current Dr. on site and was very rudely replied to "if he wants to fill your prescription then he will, if not you will just have to wait". Screw it, I'll just pay cash for the prescription so I don't ever have to deal with these unprofessional and unsympathetic front desk women. Where is the common sense in the world anymore... You work in healthcare, you are the first point of contact for the business, learn some simple customer service language like "please, I'm sorry, thank you". Not sure how much business you guys have lost, but you definitely lost mine! read more

My visit today was horrible!! I was told by Jami and Christina I couldn't see a doctor with out a co-pay. I tried to explain I had never had a co-pay and I was always mailed a bill. Jami then ignored me and proceeded to print out information to prove me wrong! Christina also tried to tell me that I must have been lying about not being charged before my visit to receive service. Visited Doctors Express as a walk-in customer looking to be immunized for a trip to South America and ended up having the best doctor visit experience ever. The medical staff is outstanding from the reception desk to the doctors. Very helpful, made sure my insurance covered my visit, exceptionally clean environment, knowledgeable medical experts, provided additional medical information regarding my visit including a health certificate that i could carry on my travels with me. I would choose them as my primary care physicians if they weren't an urgent care facility. If I ever need a doctor or have an emergency Doctors Express is #1 on my list. read more

Much more convenient, quicker and cost effective than my regular doctor and the ER. I've visited Doctor's Express twice for myself and twice for my daughter. Each time we were able to see a compassionate doctor quickly. The staff were very thoughtful of my children's needs - changing the TV to cartoons and getting us back to an examination room quickly. Doctor's Express is also the only doctor who has made follow up calls after the visit to make sure their suggested treatment was helping. Highly recommended. read more

We were visiting from out of state on vacation and had an emergency with our 1 year old. This facility treats infants and everyone in the office was very friendly, competent and compassionate. They have reasonable rates too. We were charged $115 for an office visit. read more

I have been to this facility multiple times over the past year. Each time most of the staff is friendly and helpful. But lately whenever I call I get a woman answering the phone, she is rude, laughs when she's trying to explain something to me, and just plan talks to me like I'm stupid. I have been here a few times and they are always wonderful. All of the staff are so friendly and also the doctors, especially Dr. Piatt is great. He's very thorough and a really nice mellow guy. I have always received top notch care here. I prefer them over my family doctor. Average time in and out the door is about an hour, which is better than the ER. You don't want to be rushed in and out the door when you need urgent care. They take the time to make you feel like a valued patient, and I appreciate that. read more

Called to ahead of my visit to confirm that there was an X-ray machine on site. Phone was answered immediately and staff was friendly and polite. When I limped in I was promptly given a wheelchair. The staff was sympathetic, informative, and efficient. They even arranged an appointment with a local orthopedist. I would highly recommend Doctor's Express. read more

Receptionist was great. Very little paperwork was needed and we got in very quickly to see the doctor who easily diagnosed shingles and explained the disease to us. He prescribed helpful drugs and the nurse downloaded directions to a nearby pharmacy and printed them out for us since we were visiting from across the state. Went here for a DOT physical, wait was extensive, staff was nice but seemed to consistently forget the little instructions like "follow me, please" or "after you finish that, do this". Several folks were visibly confused by the staff. They were really nice and considerate, want to stress that. They brought more people into the examination rooms than they had rooms, so ended up asking us to go back to the waiting room after we were already in the exam process. read more

My experience at Doctors Express was simply awful. I have never had such bad customer service. The Medical Assistants were rude and inexperienced and the doctor barely spent any time with me and didnt seem interested at all with what I had to say. The office staff was amazing and if I were giving out stars for just them it would have been 5 stars. They handled a large crowd of sick people with compassion and kindness. The nurse that took my vital stats was great. Her questions were thorough and she took my blood pressure as well as my temperature. My normal is 97.6 so over 100 is actually significant for me. I had every symptom of the flu and she said the state was out of tests but she believed I had the flu and gave me a mask. My main concern was the cough that was racking my body and stopping me from sleeping. The doctor who I would give zero stars to, walked in and listened to my lungs. He then informed me that I didn't have the flu because I wasn't running a fever and didn't have body aches. Clearly he hadn't read my chart before the examination. He said I didn't have pneumonia but I did have bronchitis. He said he would give me an antibiotic. I asked if I could have cough syrup so that I could get some sleep. He didn't want to give me anything even though my ribs were bruised and my muscles ached from coughing. He finally relented and prescribe 6 teaspoons of Robitussin to last 6 days. The total amount of time spent at the clinic was over 2 hours for nothing. Unfortunately for me it was on a Friday and I won't be able to get to my doctor until Monday. I will never go back to this Urgent Care ever and I will go out of my way to discourage anyone who asks from using that facility. read more

Came in for my daughter's foot pain. It was late in the day. We arrived at around 7:30pm, and they close at 8pm. The receptionists were pretty helpful for the most part. After filing out the necessary paperwork, we were lead to one of the exam rooms, and we didn't wait very long before Dr. Le entered the room. He was courteous and pleasant, but I felt that he was in a rush. He asked us a bunch of questions, and after 5 minutes of conversation, he said that the best thing for us is to see a foot specialist, like a podiatrist. He concluded this without even looking at my daughter's feet, or without laying a finger or physically examining her condition. He came back with a sheet of paper listing 4 different podiatrist in the area whom we could make an appointment with. He left the room and we were out of there by 8pm. The bottom line is this, the whole visit felt rushed, and Dr. Le didn't convey any caring attitude towards the whole situation. Even my 12 yo daughter's first comment to me after the visit was, "they suck". I just wonder how much they will charge us for that unhelpful visit. I really had high hopes for this place and I like the fact that they are open late and on weekends, so I'm very disappointed. read more
