My appointment for COVID testing was at 3:24. It is now 3:56. I am still waiting here in a parking lot in the back of the building. No matter what the owner says, the amount of COVID is currently declining and it should not take this long. And if COVID really is that overwhelming to this office, appointments should be spaced out differently go give a better expectation of time to the patient. This is blatant disregard of my time. Absolutely the worst experience. Save your time, energy, and money-DO NOT COME HERE. The nurse practitioner was unbelievably unprofessional. I was sent off with this RIPPED piece of paper as my only source of advice based on my initial paperwork/survey. I was told to go wait outside in 100-degree weather while running a fever. Was still made to wait outside after testing negative for covid and explaining that I did not believe I had covid. The nurse asked 1-2 questions from a distance, she was barely listening and seemed like shed rather be somewhere else. There was only 1 other patient there at the time. Went to a different clinic afterward because I felt like I did NOT receive the correct treatment/diagnosis. The doctor at the other clinic confirmed I was misdiagnosed here and was wildly surprised by this clinic's diagnosis. Would give ZERO stars if possible. read more

This is an excellent facility. I've been there for Covid testing and their billing practices are 100% honest. We made the appointment online. We went to their facility and waited to be called to the rear of the building. They came out and administered the test free of charge as dictated by the CARES act. We came here for COVID testing that we needed for Hawaii travel. There was five of us total, 2 adults and three kids under 14. We had to make separate appointments, so we made them back to back with the first one starting at 5:45 or so. We were told that we needed to wait in the car for the nurse to call us and we would then drive to the back and have the nose swab. Once we checked in, we waited over an hour in our car. After waiting one hour and ten minutes (yes, I was counting), we were called to the back. The man that swabbed us literally shoved the swab into our noses so far up that it still hurts. We had all been tested before and did not have this experience. If you need to get tested, go elsewhere. The wait time is ridiculous even when you have an appointment (you can't walk in). read more

I've been here a few times and keep hoping for a better experience but never really get one. The wait times are awful - the girls at the front desk will say oh, it shouldn't take too long, there's only one person in front of you. And it takes forever. I made a telemedicine appointment. When nobody showed up for the appointment, I called the front desk and was told to come in. I was then told to get in line for a covid test even though I've tested negative twice in the past week. At this point, I would have just left but they charged my credit card before I was seen. For someone who is sick and who was told to come in to be seen right away, spending 40 minutes sitting in the car waiting for a covid test is not healthcare. This is just a business and they will say anything to get you to get in line and pay them. read more

AFC saved my life. Back in December, I came to AFC for a sudden, severe headache. Naomi, the nurse practitioner, thoroughly assessed me and decided it was best to call an ambulance to take me to the ER. As soon as I got to the ER, I began having seizures and had a lumbar puncture: I was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis. I had to be intubated shortly thereafter. My infectious disease physician later told me if I had waited even another 15 minutes, I would have most likely lost my life. All this to say - AFC could've easily dismissed my symptoms, but the staff used their clinical judgment and compassion and quite literally gave me a second chance at life. I am forever grateful. I also had several interactions with Katrina, another nurse practitioner at AFC, and the rest of the staff and I cannot stress how patient and empathetic they are. I could not recommend them more! read more

I found AFC through the Hawaii Partners website and I'm so glad I did! I needed to get tested before traveling and I was worried about getting the results in time. I booked an appointment online and the whole process was extremely easy. They have you stay in your car and are really careful with the testing. I don't recall the name of the nurse practitioner that administered my test but she was very kind and gentle. Once I got tested I had my results within an hour. Also, the staff is extremely helpful and personable. More specifically, Sabrina and Annie really saved me stress and walked me through the whole process via phone. I have been bringing my family of 6 to AFC-Richmond for almost 3 years now. I can honestly say, each time we had a wonderful experience which is the reason we keep coming back to this particular location. Every time the providers listen to our concerns, show empathy and true concern and address issue at hand. On Friday I brought my 12 year old in with a sore throat. We were treated but Julienne. She ran the standard COVID test as well as strep (both negative) but found out he had a really bad ear infection. Now few days later, he's doing much better. Yesterday, I brought my 8 year old in. He's been complaining of a stomach pain and threw up a few times. This time we were seen be Katrina. Once again COVID was ruled out first but through series of questions we learned that my son has not gone #2 in over a week. He has failed to mention that at home. His concept of time can be still off sometimes but an X-ray confirmed severe constipation and fecal impaction. We were given list of medication and clear directions as to what to do at home. Katrina is always so amazing with my family. She's so sweet with my boys and so caring. We truly love her. read more

I read a recent negative review amongst the other reviews and decided to ignore it and book a simple COVID test, what could go wrong with COVID test! Well it took them 30 min to come to the car to take the sample (it was supposed to be 10 min in/out) then another 40 min to pay for the test, the worst part was to end the wait time I had to go inside to get my card just to see two nurses engaged in a chat and just simply handed over my card and continued the chat! My sister and I were both sick and running fevers with the same symptoms. We both went in at the same time and they saw us both efficiently and quickly. They were helpful in explaining everything to us - from why we were feeling this way, to the type of medicine and care to give ourselves after the visit. They were just so nice and went above and beyond in everything they did. From insurance, to going the extra mile and cleaning out my sister's ear and cleaning her piercing, they really cared for us. I, my wife, and my sister-in-law called and made an appointment to do Corona Test at this center. We asked about the cost of the test on the phone and we were told that is Free, and we do not have to pay a diem. We scheduled the appointment for drive through corona test. We met the nurse at the parking lot. Got all our information including mine and my wife insurance. My sister-in-law did not have health insurance. We specifically asked if there will be a charge and we were told there is not any charge for us. We were told that is their policy to collect insurance and credit card information, but THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE. We did not step inside the facility and did not even got out of our car to do the test. After two month I and my wife each got $140.00 the total of $280.00. They charge my insurance for doctor visit even we were not step in their facility. My sister-in-law did not have an insurance and did not pay a diem as they promised. When I called them regarding the charge, and they said that I and my wife must pay since we did not meet our insurance deductible. They said the test is free, but I must pay management fee since I used their facility. They were so rude on the phone and told me that I must pay even I was promised no charge at several times that they were asked. Called insurance company and they said that I was charged for doctor visit even I did not step in their facility. They are fraud, scam, and liars. Thanks god I only need to use them for Corona Virus test nothing else. read more

I brought my daughter to this urgent care bc she has a sore throat and that was bad she didn't even talk, eat and drink, and we went here bc weekend and family doctor isn't work on Saturday, so we had a conversation with provider and after she took all information and my insurance (we have Aetna Insurance) and she told me that just pay deductible for the strep throat test and my insurance will coverage of the rest! We got a test and the doctor Amanda she prescribed antibiotics for 10 days, after 10 days my daughter has a sore throat again and bad, and I have to left work and go straight to this urgent care and just want to ask a doctor Amanda who treatments my daughter, I'm was about to asked what else she could do for my daughter if she need COVID test bc she took antibiotics for 10 days and she got sore throat again after finished antibiotics, and I met provider she tried to explain about how it going about this situation and she told me to bring my daughter to she doctor by the time she told me I have a bill $168 something about last time we come for strep throat test, I mean WHAT? I have paid the deductible and you guys said my insurance will take care of the rest so I disagree. And I said if so that bill ya supposed to let me know before you went through everything if without insurance I wouldn't afford it or hight deductible or whatever, but they told me very clearly about the costing and now they said so! Anyway, provider said "we'll going to do COVID test for her bc we did a strep throat test last 2 weeks ago, I thought that's make pretty sense, and a doctor Amanda come outside and said she is going to do a strep throat test before she do covid test, and I said hold on" we did strep throat test 2 weeks ago and you still have a result why you need to do that test again? And this test I supposed to pay 100% as provider said and I don't think she need it again and now I just need to do COVID test on my daughter, and doctor Amanda said, her throat looks like she got strep throat so she needs to take strep test but I need to do both strep throat and COVID as well, and I disagree bc Covid-19 test my insurance will coverage and strep test I have to pay 100% bc she said my insurance is hight deductible, so I better pay it all ;) but my daughter just did that test why she need again instead COVID test! I never seen any medical departments or clinical or any emergency to work like that to patients, seem like provider and doctor are lack of communication or discussions before doing treatment for patients, provider said chicken but a doctor said duck ! I was confused, they just do and try to cost doesn't matter what just get money as much as they can without mercy, but that's totally not make sense the ways they did, and when I ask provider about a doctor said she's not gonna test COVID for my daughter she want to strep test again, so I don't want strep test I just want to ask her can she prescribe any kind of medicine for my daughter and they said so I have to pay $120 for prescription! And I say ok I better take her to family doctor so my insurance will take care of the bills and I left, and they called me and explained that I'll pay for visits office $120 I said doctor and no one did anything for my daughter how can you are going to charge? Charge what? Today I come here just asking a doctor who had done a treatment for my daughter and I was about to ask questions, i wasn't here to do strep throat test again while I have a result she did a test 10 days ago, it's not make any sense! And she said ok I'm going to tell them to cancel a paper work to my insurance. I believe that they learned from medical school how to make money from patients, but they didn't learn how to work together or how to work a right way. I don't trust this place, especially doctor. Anyone know any doctor just did a test 10 days ago and patient get back to ask questions bc medicine isn't help and doctor try to do the same test again? How many times need to do the test to have a right result? I have still all documents to proof that what I'm saying. read more
