Dr. Nelson was a wonderful find. I hadn't needed an extraction since my wisdom teeth 35+ years ago. He understood my anxiety and trepidation and addressed them. He provided his personal cell number for any aftercare questions. When I reached out to his office a couple days later with a question, he didn't have a staff member contact me back...he called himself. That is above and beyond customer care and I appreciated it! I don't intend to require his services in the future (I'm keeping the rest of these teeth ) but if I do require another extraction...I will definitely be calling Dr. Nelson again! read more

To sum it up: They were going to bill and perform surgery on me to remove my FOUR wisdom teeth without even doing a panoramic X-ray. When I went to another oral surgeon, I had a panoramic X-ray done and found out I only have THREE wisdom teeth. They either knew I only had three wisdom teeth and were trying to scam me or were unaware that I had only three wisdom teeth and wouldn't have found that out until after they cut into me... SCARY. This place is TOP NOTCH, My experience here was as great as an experience could be for losing a tooth. A very painful cracked one. The assistants here are awesome Dr Nelson, DDS was the same. Very organized and professional. They made me feel as calm as they could with my anxiety sending my blood pressure through the roof. 10/10 experience! This place was amazing and so is the staff! My dentist had referred me to their office for a consultation for my wisdom teeth extraction last minute and they were able to take me right away! I was able to be seen, be informed and book my extraction date. I actually even called once after booking a time and the girl on the phone was able to make a change for me. They gave me a breakdown of how everything would go and how much it was going to cost. Dr. Nelson really made me feel comfortable and he was very knowledgeable through the whole process; even gave me his personal cell number in case I needed to call and even checked up on me post extraction. He made me feel like I was in good hands and that he actually cared about how I was doing. I had all four wisdom teeth taken out just yesterday and I honestly feel no pain at all! They were very quick I think it only took them 30 minutes to do the surgery itself. They were able to call my ride and I was picked up immediately. Even gave me a soft blanket to lay and wait in All the girls at the front desk and the guys/girls that were assisting in the back that took my x-rays and set my room up were not only helpful but easy to talk to and to ask questions. Also super friendly. I think I told the girl that was wheeling me out the door "you guys are amazing!!" Like 10 times with a mouthful of gauze and still high off the medication as I was leaving. I would also like to mention that their office smells amazing! It was very clean and inviting AND they have bath and body works hand soap so that's a win right there. Please do consider coming here they will take care of you! I also don't have any dental insurance and they do offer I believe it was a 20% discount to anyone who doesn't have dental insurance! They also offer a payment plan option through Care credit. I was able to pay in cash for my extraction no problem. First, I'm very anxious about teeth being extracted, and don't like any pain!! This is my second time this year in 2022 that I needed to have teeth extractions performed, first time early 2022, upper/lower back wisdom teeth were extracted, avoiding an unnecessary root canal and now in October 2022, molar, #19, lower jaw extracted, along with Dr Nelson installing an implant and adding cadaver bone during the same procedure!! Both times, I had a consultation visit with Dr Nelson, where he explained everything about procedure and what to expect. I have been to both of his office locations, and his staff is very professional, caring and very responsive to all of my questions and great at follow up. I never heard about Dr Nelson prior to 2022 and he was recommended by both by current dentist and another specialist, and so very happy they did! I had both procedures in 2022 done at the Phoenix location. Absolutely amazing!! No swelling, no pain, very little bleeding at all, I sometimes wondered whether he even extracted the teeth! Follow up calls by Dr Nelson and his staff to see how I was doing were comforting. Great experience and I would recommend him and his staff without hesitation!! Entire staff do a great job, not to mention, that Dr Robert's the anesthesiologist, who I used both times, did the sedation and it was amazing!! Usually, the only time a person goes to an oral surgeon, it's bad news. BUT with Dr Nelson, I felt encouraged and hopeful that my miserable teeth were salvageable to some extent. My former dentist is an alarmist, but Dr Nelson is a realist and doesn't want to cut unnecessarily. He spent time to discuss options and I didn't feel pressured. This place has been A+ so far! They took me in for a last minute appointment to get my wisdom teeth extracted. I called on Saturday and they fit me in on Monday. The staff is so nice and professional and Dr. Nelson was very informative and has a very calm manner that made me feel better as I was a little anxious. I am about to get my wisdom teeth extracted so I will update this after with how I feel post-op, but so far everything has been 5 stars and I am very grateful for their care Edit: 3/25/20 - My surgery went great! I was very comfortable and then I woke up afterward and everything was done. It's been about 48 hours now I am feeling ok overall, just very sore. Dr. Nelson even left me a voicemail later in the night after my procedure to check up on me to see how I was doing. Wonderful service. Definitely recommend this place to anyone. I had to get all four of my wisdom teeth removed and made an appointment to see Dr. Bode at my dad's recommendation. The consultation was great, and Dr. Bode clearly explained how the surgery would go. He answered all my questions and put me at ease (even though I was COMPLETELY terrified). He gave me my prescriptions early so I would have them when I needed them right after the surgery. I'm terrified of needles and he and his staff put me at ease just before I went under anesthesia My fiance took me home that night and I just slept. They gave him instructions for aftercare which was great, since I was so out of it! I had little pain, mostly discomfort. I only needed to take ibuprofen. I had a bit of pain the Monday following and they got me into the office right away. He packed one side and it made a huge difference. Recovery really wasn't too bad and I felt that Dr. Bode and his staff did an excellent job! read more

I don't even know where to start, but definitely thank you Dr. Nelson. I recently had my 4 wisdom teeth removed and let me start off by saying I have been putting this off for about 5 years. I don't do very well with any dental work up and definitely not wisdom teeth surgery. My wisdom teeth kept bothering so much that I knew it was time. I googled and googled my life away trying to find the best oral surgeon. So I gave Dr. Nelson a shot. My first consultation was such a great experience, the staff as you come in welcomes you and makes you feel so much comfortable. I knew it right there and there that this was the place. Sure enough I met Dr. Nelson. He was so caring and so understanding he automatically knew how scared I was about the whole situation. He explained to me in detail how the procedure was going to be and my options to make my experience the most comfortable it can be. The day of my surgery I was nervous but his treatment plan and the IV general anesthesia work wonders. Let me tell you I don't know what Dr. Nelson does but he works magic. I left the office pain free and I have not yet experienced any pain, swelling, complications, bruising. I am on day 4 and I feel great. Is like nothing ever happen. Dr. Nelson cares so much he even calls you the day of surgery to check up on you and provides you with his personal cell number. You can text, call him anytime and he will answer. What doctor does that for you? I absolutely recommend this office, and I would do it all over again if needed. I am not very good at doing reviews but I just can't thank Dr. Nelson enough. So on Tuesday March 14th I was suppose to get my wisdom teeth taken out at 7:30am in the morning. I showed up for my appt with my mom at 7am and waited. My mom asked if she could go back with me and the nurses told her no. so before I go any further let me say that for this procedure I was going to be asleep for. My mom accepted she couldn't go back. They called me back, sat me down and gave me the rundown of what was going to happen. Told me they were going to start giving me laughing gas, then do my IV and then put me to sleep so I was ok. Before I went they gave me something to take to calm me. So I was pretty chilled. They put the mask on my face for the laughing gas and told me to keep breathing through my nose and that the oral surgen would do my IV. About 5 minutes later I was looped up and the oral surgen came in and was going to do the IV. He began to try to distract me... this is when it all started going bad. This guy poked me 4-5 times and gave me at least 2 bruises. Then said "oh I can't get a vein we have to do this with you awake" the first thing that came out of me mouth was "I don't know how I feel about that. "So he proceeded to say that he would start and if I wasn't comfortable he would stop. Right then I told him no I did not want to do it. He continued to do what he wanted. This whole time I was already bound to the chair. He started to look around in my mouth and then I told him he needed to go talk to my mom.. He says "I think your mom would want the same as us and that's what is best for you and that would be you not leaving here with nothing done. We will try it and see how you go." He then quickly got the numbing and started numbing my mouth up. At this point I am in tears from the pain of the shots and the fact that this guy is not listening to me. After he finished the shots I said "so you're not going to go talk to my mom??" and he goes "you want me to go talk to her cause I'm sure she will say the same as I?" I nodded yes he went to my file and with an attitude made a remark about my age. A few moments later my mom arrived in the room and got me out. This dentist was not going to let me leave without him getting his money. He was going to bully me into whatever he could even though I was clearly not comfortable with it. Even 2 days later my mouth still hurts where he put the shots because he was careless and just wanted to get it done. I am writing this so that others are not put in the same situation as I was. I was not in the right mind to make a decision nor for him to be asking me the questions he was. From the moment I sat down and even when my mom came in the room they had the laughing gas on me. They were trying to take advantage I was just smart enough to give the power off to my mom so he had to stop. If you are ever going to have any kind of surgery bring someone with you that you trust because without my mom this situation would have been worse than it was. My Doctor was going to be Dr. Nelson and i am glad he wasnt able to go through with the procedure. i couldnt imagine how careless he would have been. read more

Saw Dr. Nelson to get all 4 wisdom teeth extracted at once. The experience was actually quite pleasant! I had very minimal pain after the procedure, which is a plus! He will call and check up on you after your procedure if you have any concerns or questions, which is awesome (I didn't have any issues, so I honestly didn't even need to reach out until my follow up appointment). Staff is great, although I did get a little attitude from the assistant that took my X-ray. That's not enough to stop me coming back if needed. Overall, great experience. Highly recommend! read more
