It is unfortunate that this office does not follow science. Today when I went in for my cleaning none of the staff were masked. Another patient was also unmasked. When I went to wait outside and then went back in, staff had hurriedly put their masks on. I thanked them and asked about patients not wearing masks. I was told "we don't enforce that". I was very, very angry. I refused my appointment and left. I asked to take my paid for $5,700 Invisalign case with me multiple times and to multiple people, including the dentist. They refused. Dr. Wettstein just kept arguing with me and indicated he was following State rules. I finally got in my car and drove away. Bottom line: his greed in serving anti-maskers is more important than patient health and safety. We'll see what they do about the $5,700. I found a new dentist who IS following CDC guidelines and a new CDC compliant orthodontist for the Invisalign. I would give this office a -5 if possible. read more

This was my 1st time at Affinity Dental and I love it! I have a fear with dental visits and I've never felt so comfortable and taken care of until today. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted by friendly staff at the front desk. Stacy was the dental hygienist that provided my cleaning and I loved her. She did such an awesome job making me feel comfortable, listened to my concerns about my teeth and did a great job with the cleaning. Also, Dr. Wettstein was so friendly and listened to my concerns as well. He discussed options that would help the issues I was having. My experience with Affinity Dental was phenomenal. Everyone from the front desk all the way to Dr. Wettstein were wonderful. Dr. Wettstein listened to the concerns my husband and I had and was very helpful on getting us on the right track. My husband, who hates going to the dentist, was blown away by the professionalism of the staff and how much they seemed to care about making sure his teeth were clean and healthy. So far so good...I went in for my first appointment yesterday and was really impressed. The staff was SUPER friendly and positive. I felt completely welcomed by Varity! The office was beautiful and clean. The waiting room had really comfy chairs and beautiful decor. Dr. Wettstein was gentle and considerate and explained everything that was going on with my tooth. He had a cool machine that took pics so I could see immediately the issues with my tooth. Stefanie, the treatment coordinator, showed me exactly what I was going to owe after insurance and explained all my options to me. She was very patient and kind, answering all of my questions. I am going back for a full exam and cleaning this week and then for the crown later next month. Overall I am really impressed! I hardly ever write reviews unless my experience is really bad. Throughout my life, I never took care of my teeth. I will only go see a dentist when I'm in pain, which by that time, it's either an extraction or root canal. Normally, when I go see a dentist, I feel like I'm a walking goldmine for that practitioner since I have a lot of work that needs to be done in my mouth. However, walking into Affinity Dental was not only relaxing, but the staff made me feel like a person, not just a method to get money. I'm not good with spelling so I apologize if I may have spelled some of the names incorrectly. Dr. Wettstein is absolutely amazing and shows that he cares about his patients. He recommended several different treatment options which unfortunately, all included dentures. I just went in for my last visit (until March 2017 when I need to turn my temporary upper dentures into permanent ones) and the level of service they provide is very consistent. I know what to expect when I visit and there are hardly any surprises. A special thanks to Malone, Varety, and Ben for taking such good care of me. I made the right choice back in June to visit Affinity Dental when I needed yet another tooth extracted. I forgot the name of the Dental Assistant who was present during my procedures, but she was awesome as well. I am very happy with the upper and lower partial dentures and the journey getting there. Uncompromising "Office Policies" lead to the loss of business for a family of 4. We have been so happy with this office and their flexibility with our kids that we decided to go there to give the parent business to the office. Needing A LOT of dental work, we were committed to give the business over the next year to the office to get everything fixed and tuned up. We scheduled appointments at the end of the year in order to make use of the remaining benefits on our dental insurance. Unfortunately, we were hit with the flu a few weeks ago and my husband has been unable to shake it. He came home with a fever of over 103 today and the doctor wants us to take him in to the ER to be tested for pneumonia, which he is worried he has. Called the dentist to make note of the fever and the fact that we would need to reschedule the appointment. They could have cared less about his welfare. We are not in the fashion of re-scheduling, especially when having taken time off of work for the appointment. Oh, and did I mention that we were just in the office earlier with our daughter and paid for that appointment. I am so sorry that my husband illness does not fit into your policies. I am even more disappointed because we really did hope that we had found the right dentist office for our family. In the end, it seems as though a financial profit wins over human compassion. read more

I cracked my tooth at noon and Dr Wettstein had me fixed up with a crown and on my way home by 4pm. Not only did they squeeze me in with no notice, but were able to do so within one hour of the cracking "incident". Then, they used their super-duper crown making machine to make my crown in just 10 minutes and it fit better than any of my previous crowns. No more temporary crowns and 2nd visits for the permanent crown fitting. ! Thank you Dr. Wettstein and his staff for taking such good care of your patients. I recently visited Affinity Dental hoping to find a solution for a problem I have destroying partials. The problem stems from my tendency to subconsciously grind my teeth. When I walked into Affinity's office, the relatively new partial I walked in with (made by a different dentist in the area) was cracked, missing teeth and wearing thin in several places. I had been back to see the 'other' dentist several times over the past year to have him repair my failing partial, but none of his repairs lasted for more than a couple of months. I came to Affinity to see if they could construct a partial that was relatively indestructible. I wanted one that would last considerably longer than the 14 months my existing one lasted. In short order, Dr. Wettstein introduced me to Ben Stone whom he brings in to solve hard partial needs. Ben scheduled three visits with me so as to take measurements and to check out several mockups until he settled on a partial that I think even I can't destroy. It fits better than I ever thought one could and looks very natural in my mouth. This alone makes a great testimonial for Affinity, but there's more. I also had a cavity underneath a crown that was discovered during my cleaning visit. Dr. Wettstein recommended that I have a root canal done on that tooth. Given that the crown on that tooth came loose during cleaning and popped off cleanly, Dr. Wettstein was able to save me money by re-cementing that crown back on after the root canal. He was able to keep the part of the tooth that mates with the crown exactly the same so the old crown would go back on perfectly. I failed to mention everyone's friendly hellos each time I visited them. It's like bumping into old friends whenever I arrive. That's a very nice experience. I came away very happy with my new smile. I needed all the help I could get and they gave it to me with some change still jingling in my pocket. read more

This place is shady. They gave me a price of $80 for an exam (which turned out to be only 1 X-ray, Yikes) and approximately $100 for a simple tooth extraction. Fair enough right? But it's like buying a car once you get there. First you have to pay a $75 membership fee (or pay crazy inflated prices) plus once I got there that hundred dollars went up almost $300 for the tooth extraction. And then if I decide to have it done I have to come back almost 5 hours later for the extraction. And that information cost me $80. So I'm out $80 and I still have to go get my tooth extracted somewhere. This is one shady place people. You guys should be ashamed of yourself. One extra cost me $80. Shameful And just to be clear, This was not an emergency. I scheduled this appointment five days prior. read more

Truly the best dentist I have EVER been to!!! The office is beautiful, the staff amazing!! Dr. W really cares. So, now, another bad experience with this dentist office. I will try to make this short. I had to get a root canal on a tooth that this office crowned because the nerve was so irritated after the crown prep. Before all this happened, I had made an appointment for an upper tooth filling. When they called to confirm my appointment, I asked if they could do the permanent filling on the tooth that had the root canal instead of the upper tooth filling. My mouth is still sore and I did not want the upper filling at this time. They said I could not. That they booked my appointment for an hour and a half, and a permanent filling will only take a half hour. This office is clearly about making money and not about the well-being of their patients. Now, I have to wait another month to get my permanent filling. I explained I already took off work for this appointment, but they didn't care. read more

I was seen there a couple months ago on a friday, and the initial visit was fine. Was in a lot of pain and had an infected tooth that needed to come out and made an appointment in 2 weeks for the extraction. The doctor gave me antibiotics and told me to take ibuprofen, but told me if I was still in a lot of pain after taking the antibiotics for 24 hours then to call the office to leave a message with their answering service and he would be more than happy to come down to the office to write me a prescription for pain. Waited a day and was still in extreme pain so I called and left a message with the woman who answered. She was rude right away and said that I just needed to wait longer for the antibiotics to work and I told her it's been over 24 hours. I explained to her word for word that the doctor told me to call if I needed something stronger. She finally took my name and number down and told me that she would 'try' to get him the message. About 2 hours went by and I called back only to be answered by the same rude receptionist who immediately put me on hold. When the line was picked up, the other dentist of the practice (whom I had never met before) answered and said that the receptionist told him that 'I had been calling ALL morning asking for drugs'. I explained to him my situation and that I was a patient of the other dentist and was only doing what I had been told to do. In the end he pretty much called me a liar saying that it was against their policy to write for pain meds before any work had been done, refused to call my dentist to verify that HE TOLD ME THE EXACT OPPOSITE, and said that i could see him that day as an emergency visit but i would have to pay out of pocket. An EMERGENCY VISIT?!?! I was there the day BEFORE! Overall, I feel like i was the one who was lied to and that all I was to him was a dollar sign and walked away from this experience wondering if dentists actually take the Hippocratic Oath.... read more
