I would NOT refer him to anyone. He came and looked at my stove. Said it was the power control board. I paid him for the service call and part and never heard from him for over 3 weeks. He said they sent the wrong part. I gave him a second chance to get the correct part. Now I can't get ahold of him and he won't answer the door at his shop. I've left voicemails put notes on his car telling him to call me because I want a refund. I ended up ordering the part myself and put it in. It didn't work. It has been almost 2 months now. He still won't call me. I'm out over $300. I'm very disappointed. read more

I can't say enough good things about this company. Everyone here on the Island is busy and Chris (the Owner) fit us in and worked hard to get our difficult replacement A/C system installed. Christopher is not only a fast worker, but he keeps his word and commitments. We had to wait but he showed up on time and since I'm REALLY old, I hope I can get away with saying this: "he's the kind of man you wished you'd raised your son to be". (I'm probably more than double his age). My husband and I were honestly just plain jazzed to meet him, besides for the work he was about to do for us. He is such a nice, pleasant, caring and authentic, well-raised person & has his head on straight. He has an Hawaii background and honors Kapuna in a way that just doesn't happen on the Mainland. We moved here 25 years ago. We know. We will ALWAYS try to get Chris back or even on of his helpers, for ANY other handiman service we may need. He denied my first request; saying he was all booked up and he wasn't that much into doing plumbing jobs, but hoped to help us in the future. This was a faucet installation. I was irritated and wrote back saying "why give us hope if you're not really a "plumber" and you know you can't help us in the future?" He SO nicely and patiently explained to me that Yelp forwards some inquiries to him that don't quite "match" his main biz, which is HTG/AC. However he actually can do a LOT of other "handyman" type-jobs. He gave me time to explain our situation, and then emailed us back saying he WAS coming to "help us out" and gave me a date and time! Now, how OFTEN do you ever hear something like THAT? Because we are in Honaunau it is SO SO hard to get ANY kind of service person to drive down here because juicyier fruits are hanging lower right in Kailua-Kona, so why drive here and lose money....I guess? So from the bottom of our hearts, Chris, we are so grateful and so appreciative of you and your time here. We cannot thank you enough. We think the world of you and know your business will eventually be one of the very BEST on the Big Island! For those needing Chris, he's worth the wait and he's not out just to rip you off for money. I had MANY plumbers tell me their hourly rate was 150. an hour + 1 hour for "travel time". I had one plumber quote us a Flat Rate Fee of $418.00 no matter if it took 1 hour or 3 hours. We found that distasteful and disgusting. That is when I started looking for "handymen" instead of Plumbers and Chris's company is the first and only one we contacted through Yelp. If you can wait, and get him to do your chore, I believe you will have a very good and positive experience. Also, he's even cuter in person. read more

These folks are really honest and responsive. My washer wouldn't spin, they told me to unplug it and wait 15 minutes and then it worked.
