terrifying. well maybe cool if you are a cheat who wants to mess with an insurance company... Juanita is amazingly rude for starters on the phone. but the service...i guess if you have a service plan its ok. They sent a kid. He came five times to fix my dryer. Imagine how much that would have cost me. he never fixed it. my service plan replaced the dryer, and when it came and did not work..we discovered the 220 plug that was 20 years old was the problem. And the Whirlpool washer, well, it requires maintenance. it wants you to clean it or clothes come out grey. so they replaced the washer cause Conrey's couldn't fix it. so..if you have a service plan, are willing to go through ten service calls where you wait a week..well Conveys may be right for you if the phone rudeness doesn't turn you off. otherwise, gosh wish they'd go back to the mainland where they came from. and check out the reply immediately written blaming me..this is exactly who these awful people are. imagine. read more

Superlative service. They continued to call me even though I didn't see their phone messages so that we could have our washer/dryer the day before it was planned, which is what we wanted. We needed our Whirlpool washing machine repaired. We live in Kailua-Kona. We called Whirlpool, they made an appointment for us with Lake Appliance, in Hilo. The very next day Lake Appliance called and said they are not available for the Whirlpool appointment. Their schedule is full and it'd be at least 2-weeks before they were able to come out. A friend referred me to Jon Conrey of Conrey Appliance Service. We called left a message on Monday morning, we quickly got a call back saying Jon was in the area and could come that afternoon! Same day service - WOW! Jon was very professional, and friendly. This is my second review for Conrey's Appliance Service. Our Frigidaire stack washer/dryer was under extended warranty. After a call the warranty company and being told "we don't have any repair contracts on Hawaii Island", I encouraged my husband to forget the warranty and call Conrey's again. They gave us great service two or three times before. I would rather pay than wait weeks for someone to maybe show up. A call to Conrey's and office staff member, Juanita gave us an appointment 5 days out. New Year holiday was part of the 5 days. John came at the scheduled time. He had our washer diagnosed and repaired in less than an hour. Their rates are very fair. By the way, we are still waiting to hear from the warranty company two weeks after first call. read more
