The huge gaping tear the "didn't see." Or feel.
    Taylor J.

UPDATE: BELOW YOU WILL SEE THE OWNER STATED HE WOULD REACH OUT TO ME. HE DID NOT. I think he just states that bc it "looks good." If you must get your car done here..I WOULD SUGGEST YOU WATCH. I came to this place because of the reviews. So Many lies! They must have friends of friend of friends writing the reviews. My air flow sensor was showing a code. Rough idle, shaking slow start, etc. I dropped my car off at 8 am and I called at 1 to get an update, I was told they were writing it up and would call right back. An hour and a half passed...called again, was told I would get a call back, FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC concerning the mass flow sensor. They called me with a quote of 1600. A bolt was missing on the air sensor -which they claimed caused the air To pass Through to Misfire. They couldn't replace bc they, "couldn't find the bolt. INSTEAD, They told me a whole new air intake Unit from Nissan, HAD to be ordered, which would be $500." As well as new sensor and a fuel injector clean out. I told them I would call back, Immediately, I Called Nissan who said they would sell me the bolt for $28 and i didn't need to buy a whole unit-also anyone that says that they were going to buy whole units at Nissan could actually buy the parts from Nissan as well. I called Affordable back and they explained their "part guy" could only order whole units...Lies). This place is so dishonest and a huge fabrication of the lies of "we want to make sure she is safe," lines they spoke of. I told Them I wouldn't be taking their business anymore. Soon getting my car back I had noticed that the fasteners under the engine were gone and the piece was placed on top-like a plate on a table. ( I CALLED them several times and no answer-I assume they have caller ID). Not only that a friend who is a mechanic graciously came to the rescue and showed us the huge gaping holes around the tube that connects to the airflow sensor. He said the "bolt" I was quoted for $500 wasn't needed to "seal out the air" bc that's the sensor bolt and there was one was fastened down... my mechanic friend found a fitted bolt and screwed down for me. I Also ordered a new INTAKE hose from O"Riley's for $138-something they never brought up! This was the actual cause of The malfunction of my car. 4 huge holes/gashes in the tubing. My friend, who is a mechanic said to be careful Of shops because they are always trying to make more money off of someone who seems naive. IF they actually did the diagnostic, they would have found the FOUR GAPING HOLES AND GASHES around the hosing unit-diagnostics include blowing smoke In these hoses to Check for Holes...which, they didn't do-or else they would've seen the cause. I guess times are tough, and places like these simply don't care. But my goodness, they weren't even slightly honest about anything in there diagnostic. DO NOT GO HERE! Shame on this place. Only positive was Greg apologized and bypassed the diagnostic fee. But then again, a diagnostic wasn't even performed. I just want to Save someone else the headache of being screwed by a dishonest company.

I took my car here around 3:00pm yesterday. I normally go to Take 5 but there was a 2 hour wait and…read moreI desperately needed the oil changed and coolant in the car so I came here. I waited about 15 minutes which was reasonable. The girl scanning in was nice. I asked her if they will top off coolant and fill tires because the coolant was low and my tire pressure light was on. She assured me they would and they started the service. Not once did anyone come explain pricing or how it works, give me an option or anything like Take 5 does. Then they came to replace my oil. They all looked annoyed to be there and the guy changing mine very clearly did not put coolant or any top off of fluids. They also did not even touch my tires. This is all fairly basic in an oil change but for them it must have been too much to deal with because I had to ask if they did it. Another guy had come over to the window and said yes and I asked again if he was sure to which he said, yes again. had zero wiper fluid so I knew already that they didn't just from that alone. The girl came over to ring me up. The oil change was $135 which is absolutely ridiculous. There was zero warning on the price plus it was clear they didn't bother to do anything else with the oil change. I'd honestly be shocked if they did anything at all. I'm just hoping the oil is fine. I paid and the hood was still up. The guy who said that they topped off the fluids closer the hood and told me I was good to go. I asked him if they filled up the tires and he said no. I said I asked before they started if they'd do it and they said it was included...clearly this was an annoyance to them. He said the machine wasn't working and I'd have to drive down two stalls. I was like sure that's fine...welp when I said that he just got the air compressor at the stall I was at and filled them up. I'm assuming he just didn't want to do it... Finally, I asked him again for the THIRD time id they'd topped off fluids. He said yes they should have and I told him the car was still saying it had low coolant and could he just check because I just paid them $135 to do this and I didn't want to have to come back. He finally did and...no they had not put coolant or Wiper fluid in. He very reluctantly did it and said he was always having to show people how to do their jobs. I'm assuming this happens a lot and they just hope people don't say anything. Long story short, this place is overpriced...gives no indication of how much the service is and then doesn't even do the basic "18 point maintenance check". I'm so annoyed I had to keep asking and they kept trying to make me leave before they even checked under the hood. They clearly are too busy or annoyed to deal with it. I will absolutely not be back and I would highly suggest you go elsewhere too.

I would not take my car to this establishment they are a ripoff and staff is rude and don't know what they are doing. Would not take responsibility for their error. This is why they have a poor rating. Don't give them your money!

I spoke to Bo who was very polite and professional, took all the information and told me he would call me when they knew what the issues were. When they called me back later they informed me to fix the steering wheel would be a big job and I would have to come back for that but would do the other stuff for me. I needed better front tires, had my oil changed, they filled and checked the fluids, changed the wiper blades, replaced the brakes and rotors and did a tune up. They were very reasonably priced and were extremely honest, kind, polite and professional. I was extremely pleased. I brought the car back on Sept 11, to have the steering wheel fixed and they did a stellar job. Once again, these guys are phenomenal at what they do and are so, so kind and just really nice, so polite and professional. My car drove like a dream and made it home with no issues. On Saturday Sept 12, my daughters went to go from our home to shopping and when they stopped to get gas they heard a clinking sound and then the car started to make a scraping sound. My daughter freaked out and brought the car home. I called Sparx and spoke to Joseph and sent him a video with sound of the noise and he diagnosed it and told me to bring it in and said it was an easy fix. I brought it in and they fixed it within 30 minutes. No charge, no hassles, no worries just a bunch of great guys who do the best mechanic work I have found in years. They are very reasonably priced and when they give you a quote they hold to it. Imagine that??? I would give Bo, Joesph and the whole crew at Sparx Automotive located in Sherman Texas ten stars, maybe 20 ok 100. Honestly, I have not met an automotive place that has such honesty, integrity, fair prices, knowledge, politeness and just great bunch of guys in over 40 years. Yes guys I am an older person and a veteran and I hope you take this review seriously. I have lost thousands of dollars to bad mechanics over the years. If you live in Texas please take your car to this automotive place. It is the absolute best. Thank you Bo, Joseph and the whole crew for your honest and fabulous work. You are my mechanic until the end... hahahaha. I give the highest recommendation I can. Don't go anywhere else but Sparx Automotive in Sherman TX!!!

I spent an hour and 18 mins there and it is the first time I have texted my mechanic, DURING the oil change, asking him if they should be removing parts from my truck and then asked him to come check my truck AFTER an oil change. I dread to know how many pounds of torque are on that plug and how many bolts they stripped on my skid plate. 3 people went under my truck. One to change the oil, one to fix/correct the first guy, and then the last guy to do "checks"? As time ticked away, many other workers looking at the first guy under my truck and trying to avoid eye contact with me. Not one time did a manager come to explain what was happening nor the guy who did a great job taking my payment. I get that all vehicles are different, I get that people are new, I get problems happening, however, not only was it a LONG process, one that I don't trust, but they also left a mess on my truck. Had to get my truck washed after using Take 5 from fluids on the side and hand prints on my hood. As I was sitting there I told myself, I need to learn how to change my own oil. 8955 Hickory St, Frisco, TX location
