Buyer beware! Hired them to do a timing chain on my truck, they forced a break job on top of it. Returned the truck barely able to start. I called them on it, after 2 days, still could not fix it, and tried to blame the truck. It never had this problem before their work. They threatened that if anyone else worked on the truck they would not honor their worthless warranty. 2 major problems they caused. First the fuel injector clips were not installed correctly, and the fuel line was not correctly seated. Also the coolant hose from engine to radiator was backwards!! so the air box would not seat correctly and would allow hot engine air in. I fixed they couldn't. read more

I had a problem with my truck and took it to a different local mechanic who quoted me an absurd amount of money to fix what I was told was wrong. Ouch. Took my small Honda to this place for a very expensive 100,000.00 mile service. They broke my rear bumper and then lied about it, costing me an additional $500. to replace it and leaving me wondering if they were so careless as to totally ruin my bumper, lie, etc., how well did they actually repair my car. They were supposed to replace gaskets in a transmission insurance sent them.they said 5hey did but before daughter made it home someone flaged her down 5old her she was loosening fluid.had to tow it back there.but 5hey wouldn't stand behind there work so McNeil's said bring it there.and that's when we were told they didn't even put new fluid in. read more

Don't expect to get you vehicle back in any decent amount of time. They will work on it when THEY feel like it, and they seem to NEVER feel like it. The have had my vehicle for almost two weeks at this point and they still do not know when it will be done. Also their name make you think that they are cheaper than other mechanics. They're not. they charge just as much as other, better, faster, mechanics do. This will be the second time I have taken a vehicle to them and the first time was no better. You are better off taking your car to someone who WANTS you business. read more

I brought my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee into Affordable Automotive and I have to say that I was very disappointed with the work they did . They assured me that there was nothing wrong with my truck other than needing an oil change but 2 days later the perform service light and check engine light came on again . Now it's been about a month and my headlight is out on my truck . They clearly did not take the time to completely check out my truck and I will never be returning to them . They did not put in the work that they should have to ensure the truck was working properly before it left their shop. read more

We were 2,500 miles from home (Atlanta, GA) in the middle of a 6-week road trip in our Honda Odyssey van. Shaking like crazy coming down some mountain roads, my car's front rotors were warped and needed turning (resurfacing) or replacement. A local parts store referred me to Affordable Automotive. The thickness of the rotors has to meet published minimums, or if too thin, replaced. The quote before the rotor's thickness was measured: $347 to replace, or $147 to turn them. Then they measured and, like many unscrupulous mechanics, could easily have said they had to be replaced .. I would have had no way of knowing the truth, and would have been out the extra $200. Fred was honest, turned them, and sent me on my way in less than two hours! As we waited in a pastry & coffee shop across the road, a patron there advised us "you're in good hands over there."
