I am a little late in writing this, but it is a definite must to do so. My husband and I purchased a house recently. When we went to the house after closing we noticed the seller's did not clean the house and the carpets were nasty. We were moving in the next couple of days, so I called around to find a carpet cleaning company that can come out now. Steve and his son came to the rescue. They came to our new house the next day. They were so nice, very knowledgeable and the price was on point for 3 bedrooms. Just had my carpets done and they look amazing. I have 3 elderly dogs, one of which is incontinent, so I need carpet cleaning regularly when it's too much for my home steam-cleaner. When booking my appointment, the woman quoted me the price of $124.50 for a large living room, family room bedroom and hall. It seemed high when I compared to others advertising "$49 for 3 rooms!"... but I've had these $49 guy here before. Sure it *starts* at $49, but "oh, you want a pet treatment? oh, the stain treatment is extra... you want us to move the chairs? You want us to actually do any work? That'll be $225!" Affordable doesn't do this. $124 was all I paid, for the whole service, pre-treat spray, carpet cleaning/extraction and dryers. Affordable's products didn't leave a perfum-y smell, I actually can't smell anything right now- which is great. The smelly stuff other companies use is temporarily masking the pet smell they didn't quite get out. I can put my face right down on some "problem" areas that used to gag me, and i smell nothing! My only criticism would be that i wasn't made aware of different "packages" they offer. I'm a single mom and just assumed a man would arrive ready to help me move the big couches, but I guess I unwittingly got the "silver package" that didn't include furniture moving. Thankfully and graciously, Steven helped me move my heavy sleeper sofa and bookshelf anyway. I also didn't know there was a pet treatment I could have asked for, but like I said, the carpet looks and smells great anyway, so no complaints. I'll ask for the pet treatment next time though. A plastic syrup bottle dropped from a high cabinet, apparently, hit exactly at the weakest part and sprayed sticky syrup all over my carpet. Gross. Hot water and soap did nothing. Totally sticky...everywhere. I really needed the carpet cleaned. I've never used a carpet cleaning service, I called around, got estimates, asked about the process and what to expect. Affordable Clean Carpet Service were friendly, had remembered that I had called earlier (after I had done some price shopping) and could send a service member out the next day. I was relieved. Everyone else told me they were at least a 7-10 day wait. Day of scheduled service, Affordable Clean Carpet Service even called earlier than my scheduled appointment to ask if I was available, would I like them to come out sooner. Had I been available, I would have taken them up on their offer. I appreciate that they took the time do this. Kyle, an Affordable Clean Carpet Serviceman came out, assessed the sticky carpet with me, explained what the process would involve and promptly and politely got to work. My original price estimate was honored and I didn't get any up-selling or last minute charges. They even steamed the small area of linoleum - which was also super sticky - which I had mentioned during the assessment. Overall, Kyle and everyone I dealt with were polite, friendly and prompt. I would recommend them and I would not hesitate to call them again. read more

There was a miscommunication with the price quoted from the phone or the price I was thinking it'd cost. I was kind of upset that it was way more than I was expecting. So I tried calling my husband to make sure the price I'm being told is what he agreed on. Bottom line, miscommunication with the price. So even when I agreed on his price right there and then, he refused to do the job. He didn't like that I was questioning the price so he said, he's not doing it and for me to go find someone else. Even when I said, "Well you're already here can you just do it?". He still refused and left. I would NEVER recommend him even if his other reviews are great. That is just NOT how you treat a customer! Worked in customer service many years and I would never treat anyone like that. Nor have I ever encountered a customer service like that. So I got stuck with having to find someone else on a last minute. I can NOT believe what just happened?!!! So I'm now being accused of being rude from the moment the guy arrived? Really? I welcomed him in, walked him through the house, even asked him if I should vacuum first which I had intended to. Then we go downstairs and talk price which clearly I didn't know about the additional being added. So I'm given and a price and I double checked if that was with the military discount? So I'm being accused of degrading the company because I'm questioning the price? WHAT?! So just to make sure of the price I said, "let me call my husband" Right away the guy got defensive and that's when it all started. So nice one on accusing me of being rude from the time of arrival, being combative, degrading the company, and me writing this review because I didn't get my way?! It's okay if that's YOUR version of truth cause I know exactly how it all went! Bottom line, as soon as I tried calling my husband, he didn't want to go ahead with the job. A business does have the right to refuse service to anyone if they're being treated like trash by a crazy customer, but just because I wanted to confirm the price, this business has accused me of many things. I called a few carpet cleaning services and the quote I got from this company was the most reasonable. When Steve showed up he was very polite and very nice to my dog as well. The price he gave me at the house ended up being a little cheaper than the quote so I went ahead and added some extra services. Steve is extremely knowledgeable and provides alot of information about your carpet that you may not already know and informed me that my carpet was actually installed incorrectly and that I should call the carpet installers and have them fix there installation job. Kyle has been absolutely great. We've tried many carpet cleaning companies before Affordable, with dismal results. From broken dowels on our stairs, to shoddy cleaning, to carpet left soaking wet, we were left disappointed. Kyle changed our fortunes. I made appointment for the following week and went off for a business trip. The next week on the day of the appointment I'd received no e-mail or phone call reminding me of our appointment so I called them, after all it was a week later. I was told yes we're on the schedule but they don't do reminders because their on time and they were, actually 15 mins early!! We did the walk through wrote up the contract, determined to pay with a card is an additional cost (minimal) the cost was exactly what I was told! Hi everyone, I had my service done by this company and the owner treated me badly and was very rude. If you ever get service with him make sure your husband or some other man is with you so that he does not take advantage of you by being rude and discourteous. When the owner and his grandson came out to clean my two small bedrooms for 125.00 I still had some small items that I told him that I could move. Small meaning an ottoman and a twin size mattress. He said that over the phone they tell the customers that they will not move a thing but he said since they were light he would move them. Because of perhaps I assumed in the next room over he would move over a small couch chair and I mean this is not the fancy or heavy type that you can raise you feet up on. The owner got upset when after he left I went in the room and found that he did not scoot the chair over and clean under it and in the closet behind it. He was pissed and treated me very mean. I told his grandson your grandpa is upset and he said this is because it happens a lot.. I told him what i had assumed earlier and that his grandpa could have said no and I could have moved what I needed to without being treated mean and rudely. I continued acting nicely to him because I needed the job completed the right way. My 21 year old daughter came out and saw the way I was being treated and cried when the jerk left. She said it hurt her to see her mom being treated that way. I thank God He gave me the grace to be a women of God but I tell you if my son was here he would have kicked his you know what. Women be aware, have a good man with you if you call this company.
