I needed an immediate either repair for some dentures for my mom. They glued them for a mere $160. She has insurance but they do not take insurance. The people that do take her insurance first appointments were all really far in the future. I made an appointment a week in advance for 8 am. I was there earlier to fill out paperwork galore to glue a set cash. Then waited an hour to be seen with an appointment. The lady at the desk was choppy her answers were as if she was doing me a favor to help me. No apology for the long wait. The dentures needed to be picked up at 2:30 sharp at the latest 3:0 would need to come back the next day. The dentures felt lose on my mom but they kinda told me they did not adjustment just glued it and it is what it is. In short a $160 favor they did us half assed and a rude receptionist. read more

I needed to have a partial fixed. When I called, they told me I would have it in one day. I waited for 2.5 hours, even though I was the first one there. Then I waited another hour in the dental chair. They finally took the impressions, and said I was done. Before you can even leave the office, they have you pay for the partial, which they then said would be ready in 10 days-2 weeks. It is now 4 weeks later. I've had to call them 3 times, and this time they said it had arrived, but that it's only the metal part. So I get to back in 4 more days to see if it fits, and then they make the teeth. This has been a nightmare! I have no idea how they have stayed in business! God only knows when I'll actually get the partial. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Well read the reviews and was somewhat reluctant to go but our dental insurance wasn't going to help fix my partial - missing tooth clause. I was very surprised when I got there - the front desk was very nice - Dr was pleasant and caring and the tech's in the back was awesome. After finding out my partial was unfixable (figured that when I went in) they did my impressions expertly and was very thorough about picking out a color match for my new partial. Went back at 3pm to pick up my temporary and they patiently went thru the steps to get it to fit properly. All I can say is so far it's been a good experience. Let me start off by saying this place saved my life! I am 22 years old previously had perfect teeth when I got pregnant my teeth started to decay BAD. For the longest I couldn't go out with my family and feel comfortable, pretty, conscious, anything! I literally lost all self confidence. Well for the first time in 4 years I am finally able to smile. Dr. Alexander and staff (Tiffany) are the BEST! This place is low cost, affordable, and awesome. Anyone who passes up going here you will regret it. I couldn't of imagined going anywhere else. Ok, so i did read a number of reviews online about how i should never go here. Unfortunately, exhausting my options i did end up reluctantly going and was i pleasantly surprised. I made sure that i read the entire affordabledentures.com website so that i knew what to expect. I also did my homework on the dentist (Dr. Cudej). The office staff ran exactly as the website said that it would. The lady at the front is actually very nice. She is the Same lady that is mentioned in the other reviews. Maybe because i work in healthcare i understand a little more about what her job entails, and some may take her actions as being rude but i saw it a little differently. She is trying to do three things at once in a regimented manner, and make sure things are taken care of. She's not rude she is just busy trying to help make sure that all patients get a chance to be seen. Its a bit difficult to run a practice without appointment, so i give her kudo's for that. If you read the website at length nothing will surprise you and you will understand what your getting into. I had taken my mom to 4 other dentists and they were no better, just more expensive. Dr. Cudej was very nice to my mom and made sure all her questions as well as mine were answered, and he was more then happy to help us that day! This place is a nightmare. The dentist is rude and self centered!! Will not work with a working person. Had to wait 2 months to pick up finished denture . I am a hospice nurse and it is very hard to get time off at 2:30 which is the only time you can pick up the finished piece. I was amazed when we met Dr. Alexander, he actually listened to our "issue" when my husband was wrongly referred out buy another dentist to get a tooth removed. As soon as we got there we were seated and ready to see the dentist who came in the room in less than 2 mins after we had been seated. He looked at the xray and said he thought the tooth could be saved and he DIDNT WANT TO pull a HEALTHY tooth?! WOW I thought, so your NOT gonna yank his tooth and take the money regardless of the condition of the tooth? This is the 1st dentist we seen that didn't treat my husbands mouth like a money pit. I was moving to Utah so I went there unhappy. Nurse said you need to schedule appt. What are you talking about !!!!! $3,700.00 - 25 visits - 11 months later I did not have a workable product. Did not have dentures in 6 months as promised. When there was a mistake with denture that they had made your told to make an appt. and come back. Nothing could ever be corrected the day you were there. Nothing was ever explained. 1st time wearer of dentures. Problems were put back on me as my fault for not speaking out. 2 of the female employees could use customer service training. Today, my friend was fitted with a partial on the bottom and a full denture on the top. They fit perfectly and looked very natural. The same day service is amazing and the office staff is friendly. I went to Affortable Dentures because I lost my partial that was only three years old. The partial had two teeth on it that fit on the front side. I live out of town and needed a replacement fast. The partial was made by a repretable dentist in Fort Worth for $600.00. Affortable price started at $1000.00. Need I say I left very disappointed less $150.00. Yesterday I had the worst experience possibly with any kind of provider and certainly the worst with a dentist in my life. I have spent hundreds of hours in a dental chair starting as a child with a chipped tooth that had to be capped and later with braces ... to periodontal troubles later in life. The latter led me to affordable dentures for yet another tooth extraction and advice about implants and dentures. Dr DeAndre Alexander gave me two shots to numb the pain in the area of the extraction. After waiting a brief time he returned to the exam room and with out checking to see if I was numb he jerked the tooth out. I felt every bit of it as it came out. He then proceeded to go in with a sharp instrument to clear away infection. 3 or 4 times I said stop it isn't numb. He continued to the point I had to reach up to move his arm, at which point he restrained my arm and had his assistant restrain the other as he sarcastically said "you can't numb infection." Then he was about to go in my mouth again. At that point I left the chair...paid ...and went outside to cry and call my husband. I am not clear which part of NO STOP he did not understand. It is the most violated I have ever felt in my life. My husband later called the office ... unbeknownst to me. Dr Alexander's response to my husbands queries was that I was confused and not aware that the tooth was already pulled. Really? Had I not been aware of that fact from the hot stabbing pain that ran threw my face and mouth when he pulled the tooth, I certainly would have known from the pressure and wrenching sound of the tooth leaving its socket. So...Dr Alexander...you may not be able to numb infection but your patient certainly feels you bang into the raw exposed nerves while you are removing it. Another good note to take would be that no means no, and stop means stop. Perhaps they should teach listening skills in dental school. read more

Being one of the longest coping with diabetics alive in the US and having been thrown into the pit with others whom struggle with health care costs. Note; diabetics do have problems with teeth and gums due to problems with circulation and fluctuating blood sugars. I have been at this now for over 60 years and the total costs for health is heavy! To be told at 70 years of age with a small SS check now need to have most of my teeth pulled and replaced with dentures and some of removal will have to be done surgically. Unfortunately such health care Dentures are not covered by any public Medicare insurances or programs that deal with Medicare! In fact Affordable Dentures does not accept any insurances or discount programs! How ever their advertised pricing maybe makes dental health a bit more palatable! However then when you read the reviews the concern is scan they do the job? and truly help make life a little better for the sick and the poor? Then you have to consider people tend to always talk about things that hurt. The problem with all health related care is its all to damned expensive. The Hippocratic oath of do no harm has been replaced with the greed of all of us! I thought maybe Affordable Dentures maybe source to relieve the pressure of taking keeping my blood sugars under control! Note without the ability to use teeth to chew food to get the right nutrients into the system can kill a diabetic who is vulnerable to mouth and tooth disease. However by all the complaints I now read in here and on line perhaps there is no hope and is dieing because of bad teeth my best solution?. Please tell me the truth was or is Affordable Dentures that bad? We can have the best health care in the world but if no one can afford it how good is it? Are negative comments a help or a hinder? I think they can be both as long as the comments are based upon objective reasoning to help folks find resources to solving problems. For me its life or death! I couldn't agree more with the other reviewer. I would give this practice no stars if I could. This place does not care at all for its customers. The woman at the front desk is incredibly rude and on a power trip. If you so much as question anything she says, she is ready to fight and brings on an attitude. She doesn't care if they have your business or not. She refused service to my father and would not once let us see or talk to anyone else or the dentist himself. Poor services and rotten attitudes from staff. First, they do not make appointments. Walk-ins and first come, come and served. Went in at 7:45 & waited for 1.5 hours & was told I could not receive examine or consult because the credit card I had indicated my wife's name (VISA has me listed as an authorized signature). They refused to call VISA to verify this. I had my wife go back with me later and waited 20 minutes for a front desk person to appear. They did not answer knock on the door. She asked to pre-pay for services, x-ray and consult and they said they do not do pre-pay (probally because the cost is a lot higher than they advertise). My wife asked if I could have the xray, exam, consult and at least 1 extraction for one tooth that was paining and she could when it was completed and sign the cc card invoice. They said yes. I went back the next morning, signed in and waited for an hour and only to have them tell me that my wife had to be there the entire time. They have signs posted "Rude Behavior Not Tolerated". I wonder why they don't have it posted to where they can read it. I walked out. Their actions there tell me it was a precursor of what I would have encountered had I actually had my teeth done there. Went out to get dentures. Selected "affordable dentures" becuse it fit my budget and was told that the dentures would fit and work OK. Felt confident at the time that he would stand behind the product. Did the fitting at one setting..I bought the best plates he had to offer (they have 2 or 3 different prices ranges). After the denures arrived I Went back numerus times complaining that the dentures did not fit right....the dentures would not stay in when I cleared my throat and are loose fitting. I told him that the temporary teeth fit better then the pemanant dentures. His reply, "WELL YOU CAN WEAR THEM", unacceptable.....After numerous visits.. his final attitude was and I repeat " IF YOU DON'T LIKE THEM GO SOMEWHERE ELSE" . His abilty (or lack of abilty) to correct the problems I am experiencing is fustrating. I am 76 years old and have been to alot of dentist over time and by far THIS IS THE WORST DENTIST I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. His "lacks a daisy" attitude and downright disregard for the product / service he is offering is reprehensible. I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS DENTIST AND THE COMPANY HE REPRESENTS. Let's start by saying he did a deal for my friend (about $3000) and he got all his bad teeth pulled and replaced with a set a nice choppers! My friend down on his luck had just lost his job with the oil company so he got a good deal at the right time. This allowed him to bounce back to get a job with an insurance company making good money. Without that smile he could not have landed that job. So when I saw that I said I gotta see this guy. My case is a little different in that I got money and I didn't want no moving teeth either. I'm in sales you see. So I wanted implants with my choppers. After meeting Dr. Wilson in Conroe... is one fine Doctor! I've been to other dental places wanting $60,000 to $100,000 for what he can do for $15,000!!! Amazing implant prices that come with teeth!
