He sanded my four bottom front teeth to the point where the Denton was exposed! I went to my regular dentist afterwards, immediately, for him to look at it, and I should've gone to a lawyer as well as I have just spent over $40,000 redoing my teeth because of Dr.Kunik! Do not trust this man ... I asked him three times to stop sanding my lower front teeth and he said he wouldn't sand them anymore and then he did! No integrity here whatsoever!

This review is long because it reflects many months of treatment and ongoing consequences. I took…read moretime to write it because I genuinely wanted to believe this practice was competent and cared about its patients. Unfortunately, my experience showed the opposite. When I first came in, my teeth were not in good shape. I had not been to the dentist in years and knew I would need significant work, including fillings, a crown, and likely a root canal. Because of this, I specifically asked to be seen by an experienced dentist. Instead, I was scheduled with Dr. Biggs, who according to the practice's own website had graduated only nine months earlier. The work she performed caused lasting damage. Nearly a year ago, I received two fillings on my upper left teeth. To this day, I cannot chew on that side due to severe pain. For months, the only solution offered was repeated bite adjustments, filing the fillings down multiple times with no meaningful investigation into the cause of the pain. After seeking multiple second opinions and transferring my full dental records, including before and after imaging, I was told by other dentists that the fillings were not done properly and likely caused nerve damage. This assessment was consistent across providers and aligned with the ongoing pain I have experienced since those fillings were placed. During a later visit for a cleaning on the lower half of my jaw, the hygienist was unavailable and Dr. Biggs performed the cleaning herself. During that appointment, she broke my permanent retainer. I felt it happen immediately and she was visibly startled. The dental assistant in the room, Ana, attempted to dismiss it and insisted it had already been broken, which was not true. She continued to tell me that permanent retainers are meant to break, which is false, and tried to deflect the situation with jokes despite how uncomfortable I clearly was. To Dr. Biggs' credit, she did take accountability in the moment. She temporarily sealed the retainer and personally walked me to the front desk, stating it needed to be fixed. However, there was no follow up, no resolution, and I later learned the practice does not even provide that service. It became clear the situation was being minimized rather than addressed. I continued treatment but requested a different dentist and was seen by Dr. Blythe. While she was kind and clearly more experienced, she was dismissive of the pain I repeatedly reported from the earlier fillings. During my crown preparation, she discovered I needed a root canal. That crown preparation left me severely swollen, bruised, and bleeding for three days. I was sent home without pain medication or antibiotics and was only prescribed medication after calling back to explain how much pain I was in. During these appointments, the same dental assistant was extremely rough, repeatedly pushing the suction tube against my jaw and inner cheek. This behavior was again brushed off as normal. The endodontist this practice referred me to was alarmed by the condition of my jaw. She was shocked that I had not been prescribed antibiotics or adequate pain management and told me that was not normal. Because of the swelling and inflammation, anesthesia did not work and the root canal had to be postponed. She prescribed antibiotics immediately. At that point, I was in constant pain, missing work, and emotionally exhausted. I sought another endodontist recommended by a friend, who reviewed my records and again confirmed that what I experienced was not normal or acceptable care. Despite this, I had no choice but to return to the original practice because the crown preparation was already done and insurance would not cover starting over elsewhere. When I relayed what the specialists had said, it was minimized once again. The crown I currently have remains painful and requires further evaluation. Afterward, I received repeated calls reminding me to complete additional work and warning me not to miss out on insurance benefits. Each time I explained why I would not be returning. Each time I was told the office manager would follow up. That never happened. The priority was clearly revenue, not accountability or patient safety. Eventually, I was offered a removable night retainer instead of a permanent replacement. By that point, after months of pain and stress, I was done. I have since obtained multiple independent opinions, all of which confirmed that what I experienced was not appropriate care. I spent significant money only to be left in pain and forced to redo work that should have been done correctly the first time. These high volume clinics prioritize profit over patients. If you value quality, accountability, and long term health, go elsewhere. I wish someone had warned me.

There was a literal big screen tv showing a YouTube video of a 3rd world grandmother butchering a lamb...blood and all. When pointed out and explained how uncomfortable it made me, the dentist proceeded to laugh it off and then do nothing to fix it. She then proceeded to tell me that she was happy because that day was "her Friday". If a medical professional ever says that. Leave. After she injected my gums with zero warning and I start crying in the chair and ask why she didn't warn me she said "that's how I prefer it" then the dentist proceeded to sarcastically take her time "babying" me and proceeded to ask In the most condescending manner "is that betterrrr". After I couldn't take the pain and discomfort I was left sitting there crying waiting for the numbing to work. She came in 10-15 minutes later and said, continuing the condescending tone, "are you done being mad at us" After all of this they call me 30 minutes later to tell me I had a filling approved by the va "finally" and need to come back in for another appointment. 6 months later I come back thinking it's a different one. It's not. Still give it a try...the videos are the same. I start crying because of how triggering the images were to my experience and ask politely for the tv to be shut off and the assistant working an X-ray machine told me, she, "doesn't know how to work the tv and needs the doctors help working a tv. I left before the dentist could get to me, so they very well could have switched dentists but the fact they were still showing the same videos made it seem like it was going to be the same traumatic experience as last time.

Although my own maintenance was fairly commendable, there was no judgement from any of the staff. Everyone I met, from the front desk, to the technicians, and dentists, were all so well toned and communicative for all good and suggestive points. I've gone several more times since and they are my #1 recommendation when it comes to dental work, On top of that my cleanings coming out flawless, they're surprisingly pain free!! I so love coming here.

Terrible Experience - Racial Discrimination and Disrespectful Treatment…read more I arrived on time for my 10:30 appointment, checked in, and was told to wait. After waiting for nearly 30 minutes, I noticed multiple people who came in after me were seen before me. At first, I thought it might be a scheduling mix-up, so I continued to wait. But when it kept happening, I decided to leave at 10:55. Shortly after, they called me saying they couldn't locate me, which was insulting after I'd been waiting for so long. It felt like my time was completely disrespected, especially when I saw others being treated ahead of me for no apparent reason. I went in for a consultation about braces, but this experience was the worst quality of care I've ever received. Based on what I experienced, I can only describe this as a form of discrimination. I told her I think I reached my max and she said "no, I checked with your insurance company". Fast forward 18 months later after I finished my treatment, they send me a bill for $1,700 in addition to what I already paid. I contacted them and they said they would look into it and then responded back that my insurance didn't pay since I reached my maximum. So basically the woman who sold it to me at the beginning just flat out lied to me so I would move forward with the Invisalign. Such a shady practice...don't believe anything they tell you about price on the front end.

I received a dental cleaning and general check-up from Swish Dental Mueller Alamo a while back (~2…read moreyears ago). Although I arrived late to the appointment (went to the wrong location in Mueller first), they took me in almost immediately. The office is incredibly clean and aesthetically pleasing. They play some music for you, and each exam room has its own TV for you to watch during your exam. Further, everyone working with me during my appointment was incredibly thorough - they took x-rays, panoramic 3D scans, and pictures of my teeth, went over the details of my teeth and what the appointment would entail, and answered every single one of my questions. I also needed to get new retainers to wear at night. To be clear, I did not need Invisaline to correct crooked teeth, just retainers to wear at night (I had braces several years ago and just needed new retainers). At first, I was feeling good about the process. Swish used a camera to take images of every surface of my teeth to then create the retainers. However, when they gave me my retainers a week later, they were not created correctly and literally pushed my teeth into different places and made them crooked. I suddenly could not even close my mouth. After 2 days, I came in to get new scans to figure out what was going wrong. Gone was the cheerful and pleasant attitudes I had previously experienced. The people working with me basically told me it was all in my head and nothing was wrong. I insisted that they overlay the new scans onto the ones from just 2 weeks prior, and the difference was obvious. My teeth had shifted considerably. The retainers were all wrong. Luckily, Swish agreed to remake my nighttime retainers in a way that would push the teeth back to how they originally were, for free. However, this was after a lot of stress on my part, and frankly, lying on their part. I believe that the retainers cost $600-700 in total, and they came with 2 pairs (so 2 top trays, 2 bottom trays). Fast forward to this year, I just called to get a quote for my partner, who needs new nighttime retainers. They quoted me at over $2000. We'll be taking our business elsewhere, and I highly recommend proceeding with caution to anyone coming to Swish.

The "Dentist" refused for me to provide my own anxiety medication which I usually take most days…read moreand told me I would be charged for Sedation anyway. My level of Anxiety for going to the Dentist is through the roof so I trusted that I would be taken care of which, is further from the truth. I had a mask with gas Sedation and when I started feeling like I couldn't breath I started letting my air out through my mouth with INTENSE Anxiety. The dr was "extremely" insensitive and actually told me that I couldn't be "worked" with if I didn't stop and when I couldn't, my mouth was shut by Dr's HAND. YES, HAND! I had a full blown PANIC ATTACK! If you expect Sensitivity and professionalism don't go there!
