Other glass companies didn't want to replace the pane, only wanted to quote me thousands of dollars for a whole new window. It's not customary for me to leave negative reviews but other customers should be warned. Don't waste your time. Called for a quote and was told by Bill he would call back after Nov. 29th due to workload. Never received a call back after the 29th. Called again and left a voicemail and still no call back. Called Bill after another glass company in Long Beach did not show up for an appointment (called later saying he had been "too busy"). He came out and measured the three windows that needed replacement and called back a week later with an estimate. It sounded reasonable as I had the same problem with other windows previously and I had a good idea what it would cost to replace. We agreed on an installation day on my next day off and he showed up on time, replaced the three windows in about an hour and a half and also fixed the bottom window of a single hung which after opening would creep down to the closed position after being opened. Took his card and he will be my go-to window person from now on. read more

I moved into a home in Long Beach that needed a little love. Bill got right back to me and came over the same day for an estimate. He was able to convert a slatted louve window (glass shutters) into a laminate solid window for safety while keeping the wood trim appearance even though it would mean a bit more work for them. He removed the damaged wood and got a new identical piece milled for me and had it replaced within two days. He replaced a missing window as well and replaced two cracked windows and screwed two windows in my garage shut for safety. They used parafin wax on all my old window sills to loosen them up a little bit as well as window stoppers to help keep them open....all extra I didn't even ask them to do it! Bill and his team were very quick and nice, very affordable and timely with me. It was great getting to know him and if every I need another window fixed, Bill is my guy from now on! read more

Needed a window replacement ASAP for the medical office I work at. Called Bill on Thursday morning/noon and he was able to come out and see the window before the end of the day. I was told he'd be able to replace it Friday or Monday, which is an awesome turnaround time! It's rare to see a company with 5-star ratings across the board, but Affordable Glass earns it. This is a 2-man outfit, which means you deal with real people, real service, and real prices. I had some windows with glass that needed replacing (dual-glazed units with broken seals -- condensation between panes). The biggest headache was a circular window that's 12 feet off the floor, in a 3rd floor condo... that was originally installed from the outside. I called three companies before Affordable Glass. Each had that corporate feel, and not in a good way. When workers came out to do estimate, two of them barely spoke english, which was problematic because this wasn't a cookie cutter job. And all three were stumped when they saw the circular window. The only way they said it could be done was by setting up scaffolding outside -- only they didn't do that kinda thing, and if they did, it would cost hundred of bucks. Then camed Affordable Glass. Bill took a look, and after some thought, figured out a way to do that didn't fit into corporate cookie cutter paradigm. Great to work with, great job on the installations, and great prices. We've had Bill do two projects for us. He installed a 48" awning window above our shower, and he replaced a 5' front window in our living room. The front window was a more custom project since we own a historic bungalow home. Bill used restoration glass so that it would have the same wavy texture of our other, older windows. He did a great job with both windows. Well done, good handiwork. More importantly, Bill is a very friendly and nice gentleman, and it was very easy to do business with him. After a bullet hole (apparently those cable people are serious when you don't pay your bill!) damaged my kitchen window, I was looking for someone who wouldn't charge an arm and a leg for what would be a small job. We had a broken glass pane in a double pane window. Very professional and mostly responsive. I had to call him twice to make contact, typical small business issue. He came out within a day to measure the window, provided a cost for the replacement panel the same afternoon. Came back 3 days later with the replacement panel and was finished within 20 minute.
