I have gone to the high priced salons where I live on Long Island for hair extensions & I was never satisfied with the results. Her inventory consisted of straight hair, wavy hair, curly hair, thick/coarse hair & soft/shiny hair, each in assorted colors. With Lucy's advice, I selected the hair that would become mine. The woman works her ass off. She takes so much pride in her work & puts in the time to make your vision a reality! When she was done I was absolutely amazed with the results. I couldn't believe this woman succeeded in transforming my boy short hair into long luxurious flowing locks that LOOKED LIKE MY OWN HAIR! There was no evidence of the extensions like when I went to the salon. I left Lucy's that day feeling like a new woman. All of a sudden I was confident again. I noticed heads turning immediately & the compliments followed. The extensions withstood daily styling with heat & were not at all affected by my normal everyday washing regimen. The hair remained beautiful for nearly seven (7) months! Obviously, I was hooked & made my next appointment where Lucy moved the extensions (yup same hair) back up the hair shaft & affixed them again close to the root where natural hair is strongest. Once again she did such beautiful work, this long beautiful hair was mine! I cannot tell you how much confidence I once again had & I owe it all to Lucy! Let me just say that a month later, I am still absolutely amazed at how my hair turned out! It is absolutely gorgeous, and it is so natural looking, that no one even knows that I have extensions! It wasn't something that I tried to hide, however, it is awesome that Lucy matched my own texture so well that the hair looks completely like my own! I asked Lucy to give me length, but also some volume, and she did just that. The quality of the hair that she uses is unlike any other extensions I have ever used. I have gotten extensions done twice before professionally, but Lucy's extensions are without a doubt the best. They look the most natural, the hair is great quality, and they are super secure! I don't worry about them loosening up, and I can wear my hair any which way that I like, and it's still comfortable, as well. I have always disliked my own hair, because it is thin, and will not grow to the length that I've always wanted. Extremely satisfied with the work Lucy did with my hair extensions. I am an actress and a model, so depending on the work I get my hair has to look great and my look has to be versatile. I keep my hair close to shoulder length because it's easier to manipulate my look. This past year has been a whirlwind for my hair, I had to change my look 8 different times! After a while the constant changes really started to put a big dent in my purse lol, so I decided to look for a more inexpensive alternative. BEST MANAGEABLE WEAVE EVER! I came to Lucy this past summer to get Brazilian hair extensions for the first time, I even brought my own hair because I was so excited. When I got there - Lucy looked at the hair I had purchased and told me frankly that I should not use it and that she had better hair to match my texture. Thank GOD, I used her hair because it match my hair perfectly and it was 100% human hair. The hair I bought claimed to be real but after a few weeks it was matted and lost it's smooth texture. When it came to installing the hair, it did take about 2.5 hours, from beginning to end, for her to do each individual piece. But she was so delicate and took her time. She told me she had a unique method that insures they won't slip or break my hair. When we were done I couldn't stop looking at what a great job she had down and it felt like my hair. I have always been unsure about the Brazilian technique but after experiencing how manageable, affordable and safe it is, I will do it again for sure :) Plus it lasted for over 4 months. I can't say enough GREAT things about Lucy and her hair extension skills! I first found Lucy last summer after a hair extension fiasco where an inexperienced hair dresser sewed in two rows of sew-in tracks so tightly that I had a headache for three days straight. After researching on Yelp, I called Lucy and she accommodated me in a same day emergency appointment and my hair has NEVER looked so great. Lucy is honest, fairly priced, and only uses TOP quality human hair (Brazilian, Indian, etc). I have since switched to the Brazilian style extensions that she does and I am always getting compliments on my hair looking great, but people can't quite put thier finger on what's different, because they look so natural. I wash, blowdry, flatiron and curl the hair and it looks great even after 5-6 months. I had been considering getting extensions because my hair is very thin but I wasn't sure who to go to because I had never had them done before. A friend recommended me to Lucy and she did a great job doing my extensions. I got my extensions done by Lucy this past weekend and I am very happy with the results. I love the fact that she did not rush me and was extremely meticulously about what she was doing and what I wanted. I have to admit though, she does take a little long to get it done but the results to me are well worth the wait. I thought her pricing was very reasonable and it is well worth the value.
