Both estheticians I worked with were AMAZING! They are so insanely friendly and educational. They are very open to communicating knowledge and information around any treatments or procedures you may have. They are ranked very high in the valley and there are no questions as to why. However, they were incredibly nice about it and informative as to why they avoid doing tear trough injections (blindness, lumpy aftermath, etc). During the consultation I was of course asked for my medical history which I provided I let them know I had fibromyalgia at that time. (it is not the owner or the manager in the room with you during the initial consultation, so they are not fully aware of the information provided) I also opened an account through cherry which is a financial institution The Glow Method is affiliated with in order to pay for the procedure per their options. I scheduled my procedure for about 4 months in advance. I made several on time payments as directed. At my Pre-Op appointment I went in and discussed the procedure with Eliza and she advised me against the procedure due to my Fibromyalgia and how much it would hurt, which I was very grateful that she let me know at the time. (When I mentioned this to the manager later on, she brushed it off and stated she wasn't aware that this was the reason for my cancellation ) So I asked Eliza if I could cancel and get a refund for what I've paid into the procedure and she said it would be no problem. Well.. it was a problem. The Glow Method ended up refunding Cherry only a partial payment and they kept the rest around $1500. After several weeks of going in circles with Amber the manager, I was basically told nothing could be done to refund anything else as the Cherry account was closed and they were keeping the deposit of 20% of the total $7,500 which I was not informed about in any consultation (read the fine print ladies) Amber kept having me track her down to figure out what was going on which was incredibly frustrating. She just kept saying she's working on it... If she knew they were keeping the money, then why have me go in circles trying to contact them to follow up? The "transparency" they claim to have was not coming through. I guess the company must be in dire need in order to keep that much money for absolutely no services provided. At one point Amber even mocked and said, "well what do you want me to do give you a check? we don't have checks here at the office haha." This happened to a friend of mine a few years back where they also kept her $2000 cash and wouldn't refund it and that was not 20% of her total. (I had hoped I wouldn't go through the same thing I guess) So if you plan on getting a procedure of this magnitude keep in mind that you will lose any money you have paid into the procedure if you need to cancel, even if you were advised to do so.... This was an incredibly expensive "consultation" I guess I donated to a poor pathetic cause. Ladies there are so many other places to receive these types of services. Don't risk this amount of money on a company that responds in this manner when something comes up.. especially a medical reason. You just never know what can happen by the time your procedure arrives and you may need to cancel, you don't want to lose that much money.

Again, second treatment my face was very agitated and bloody for over a week. Noticed no difference in the ink. I emailed for a refund and she asked me to send reference photos with the date. I provided everything she asked for and then got ignored after several follow ups. I went somewhere else and noticed a difference after the first treatment and there was very minimal agitation and bleeding. This woman has absolutely no idea what she's doing, she just slaps some random settings on the machine and does not care about the result or the customer. She literally has a refund policy on the counter stating after x amount of treatments you get x amount of money back. Seems like she already knows people are going to ask for their money bc she's providing a bad service and SCAMMING people.

Through all my moves all over the East Valley, I would faithfully make the trek across town to see Esther. Fortunately, I eventually landed in Ahwatukee, so now Esther is just a 5-minute drive from my house. She offers waxing, customized facials, microdermabrasion peels, eye lash extensions, makeup application, etc all at very reasonable rates. I usually pay $35 to have my whole face waxed, tip included. Brazilians cost $45, eyebrows alone cost $13, and a 60-minute facial costs $65. She gives a customer discount card, which she initials at every visit. After the 5th identical service, you get your service 50% off. Cash or check only. If you call and leave a message and she's with a client, she's always very prompt to return your phone call and arrange your appointment. I usually can get in within a day or two of when I call. She currently works Tues-Saturday. Plus, she works until 7pm Tues-Thurs and she also works Saturdays, so it's easy to make an appointment that fits around your work or school schedule. I can't speak to her other services, but I can highly recommend Esther for waxing. She has a very relaxing set-up, with a comfortable bed and a cute little studio. I've actually been so tired and so relaxed that I've come THIS close to falling asleep while laying there and having her wax my brows, lips and chin. I don't know if this speaks for Esther's awesome hair-removing skills, or just highlights the fact that I've been having this done for WAY too long now that I've become sort of immune to the pain. I really like that she uses Jane Iredale (a mineral makeup without binders or fillers) to cover up the post-waxing redness. I'm super uber fair with super sensitive skin - so I'm the kind of girl that turns FLAMING RED after a wax. Worse yet, I stay red for a good hour afterwards. Well, after a wax with Esther I can actually *gasp* go shopping across the street at Fry's or Safeway IN PUBLIC without having to hide beneath a garishly large floppy hat and oversized sunglasses. In fact, I used to go get waxed during my lunch break, and return to work without anyone being the wiser! Another bonus is that you can do a little one-stop beauty servicing while you're in the building. The building where Esther rents her studio (Signature Salon Studios) also houses a bunch of other hair stylists, makeup artists, beauty salons, and kitschy boutiques. Lucky for Esther, I'm a hairy girl. Lucky for me, I've found her to keep my unsightly hairiness in check!
