I called for a quote a couple weeks before scheduling and was quoted $280-360 (no more than $580) for a move out cleaning for my 3 bedroom/1.5 bath home in Kapolei . When Michael came, he looked at the house and ended up quoting $700 ! And apparently windows are a separate cost ??? WEIRD . Of course I opted for no windows to be done. I can easily just wipe it myself. The house was in about 7/10 maybe even 8/10 condition . It wasn't entirely super dirty in my opinion except for the dusty baseboards but I guess because of that alone, it cost $700 . I only hired this company and chose this company because of the fact I thought I was gonna get an affordable price and my property manager said I needed a professional cleaner with receipts but honestly, if I knew I was gonna pay that much, I would've gone with Maids in Oahu or something . Another thing is he brought a lady (Christine) from another cleaning company (Maid to Shine LLC) to do the work and when I asked for a receipt, she wrote it out on a thank you card (kind of unprofessional but to each their own) and when I examined the house after she had left, I noticed one of the kitchen cabinets were untouched for some reason so now I have to go back in and clean it. I honestly was not impressed. I could've done a better cleaning and I'm sure I could've gotten a cheaper price from other cleaning companies. I basically paid them $140/hr for the house to be cleaned WITHOUT windows (they were there for 5 hours). 2 stars because I scheduled two days before the initial meet date and they were able to come on Sunday. read more

We are moving and our house needed a good clean and thats exactly what it got! They were on time, friendly, and didn't mind us leaving our dog with them. Our oven and stove top looks brand new, and they even went the extra mile to pull the fridge out and clean behind and under it. Overall, our experience with Michael and Affordable Last Minute Cleaning left us with a clean house and carpets with money left in our pockets. Highly recommend him for any of your cleaning needs. The circumstances of my move were very stressful and I had lots of things that had to get done without a lot of planning. Carpet cleaning one 11/19. Mike was great! We called him about a week before our move out and he came right over to give us a estimate. We lucked up and were able to clean our own place (because of the condition in which we received the house. When Mike gave us a quote it was $360 because of the great condition that we kept our home. He was way more reasonable than everyone else for sure. He did not clean but his company did clean my carpets and they did a great job. I would recommend them. read more

Needed quality move out cleaning from military housing. I have a family, two dogs and a busy schedule so we didn't have time to hit all of the three pages checklist of items to ensure was clean and who wants to clean the inside of an oven? I called up Michael. He promptly returned my voicemail message. I lived in military housing and he's a former housing inspector so he knows what military housing inspectors are looking for. How can you go wrong with that? And he offers a lower price than they do for a deep clean plus carpet. I'm thinking this is too good to be true wake me up from this dream! My property manager gave me only two options to pick from to clean our house with windows on the 2nd story. The first guy had terrible reviews, so I called Michael Mathison with Affordable Last Minute Cleaning (the second option). When Michael showed up, I gave him attitude bc he wanted to clean my house cleaner than when I arrived. He explained the standard that the property managers expect. He gave me tips on how to start cleaning prior to his arrival so it wouldn't cost me so much. He left and came back another day. (He basically gave me a free inspection prior to him coming to clean.) Also, I didn't think my carpets would be able to be cleaned. My rental unit has white carpet in it and our area has nothing but red dirt! And we have a dog! Recipe for disaster. However, he got the carpets white again! Amazing! I've been burned in the past by carpet cleaners. But Michael is honest and does a great job! I'm so grateful we found him! read more

We had to use this company for our move out cleaning because the property management company wanted us to use their preferred list. So first thing that the cleaning lady says when she walks in is "oh thank god you guys are so clean, you should see some of the places we have to clean up after". So I asked her how I could pay for services because I had to leave for work. She quoted me between 280-360$, and tells me it has to be cash or check, but had to check with her manager. So she calls him and says that "the place is pretty clean, it's a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom... but it's a Really nice place!" So after some muffled conversation that I couldn't hear, she comes back and tells me 360$. So I wrote her a check and ran off because I had to go to work and was already running late. In the meantime I tell my boyfriend as I'm driving to work that I think we're being ripped off, so he calls the manager and suddenly the price changes to 280$. They tell us the cleaning lady will leave the check so I can void it, and instead I can pay with Venmo. (So why wasn't this mentioned in the first place and why did she tell me cash or check and that I had to pay ahead of time?). So she never text me when she was done even though I asked her to. When I get back and check the place, the shower head looked like it was broken and sitting on the shower floor, there was white powder in one of my bathroom drawers that wasn't mine and never got wiped up, there is dirty water left in the built in trash can under the sink, the kitchen counters have all kinds of dust and specks on it. (FYI we already had had the carpet cleaners come by so they didn't even have to clean the carpet). Needless to say it was a disappointing job for 280$. They also did not leave the check for me to void, but wanted me to Venmo an additional 280. When I did, I ended up sending it to the wrong person because he didn't warn me that there was more than one person with his name on Venmo. So ultimately I lost 280 because the other Michael Mathison doesn't have the decency to pay me back on Venmo, and I paid 280$ for a terrible cleaning job. If I had been able to use my usual cleaning lady, she would have done a better job for 1/2 the price. read more

I found the company through yelp when I did not have time to do the cleaning for my move out inspection. The service was great and the prices were competitive. They did my carpets and whole house cleaning. They arrived on time and were courteous. The only things that held me back for giving this a five star review ( more 4.5 than 4) were: they broke a light cover (reimbursed me for it) forgot to drain the tub of the water (called me to let me know) and mode of payment. One thing that stood out to me was they guaranteed that I would pass my inspection without getting charged for cleanliness which I passed with flying colors! read more

This review is way over due! Long story short, our lease was up for our townhouse unit and landlords required a professional cleaning service. We had another cleaning company lined but things didn't go as planned, so we called Affordable Last Minute Cleaning. This name really speaks for itself. Mike (owner/cleaner) answered our call right away, and was able to come and clean our unit the following day. He was able to give me an estimate over the phone based on the description of our unit; he gave both a low and high end price depending on the condition of the unit. He also gave suggestions on how to keep the cost as low as possible (i.e. clean the stovetop ourselves). This shows that he's not just one of those cleaners who charge you ridiculous amounts. Mike promptly showed up at our unit, did a brief walkthrough, and started cleaning. Wiped everything down, and vacuum/shampoo the carpets. He was able to remove carpet stains that the previous renters couldn't get out! Overall, Mike was great to work with and definitely recommend to others looking for a last minute cleaner.
