My company contracted with them in April 2022 for a 2 day job for our convention in October 2022. No one from the company let us know at all that they were temporarily closing and now I can not get in contact with anyone. I am disappointed to write this review as I was very hopeful, based on other reviews, that the service would be terrific. It started off well, with the crew being on time and ultra courteous, and they maintained a terrific attitude throughout. This was definitely the highlight of the service. And because they were so nice, I hate to complain because they seemed like good guys. However, the quality of the work they did was not very good, and on top of that it took longer and was therefore more expensive than when I had the same belongings moved by a competitor just a year ago. This was a move where only some things from each room were going with me, so the RAV guys had me check each room as they finished loading (or thought they were finished) to make sure they had everything. In most cases, they did not yet have everything, though they were close. So in each case, I pointed out the few remaining items, but then I made the error (my error, to be sure) of assuming they would indeed get those few items without my having to triple check to make sure they had done it. So the end result is that several of my items were left behind, and I've had to ask a friend to help me move them. In addition to the items left behind, the crew left my walkout basement door wide open and unlocked, which I would not have known immediately except I happened to leave out my back door (which is one floor above the walkout) when I left to meet them at the new house, so I was able to ensure my house was secure and not air conditioning the neighborhood on a 100-degree day. The men also left an empty drink bottle and candy bar wrapper sitting on one of my fence rails rather than throw them in a trash or recycling can. I would not even bother complaining about either of those minor issues if it weren't for everything else, but in context, they seem like part of a larger problem of lack of attention to detail and/or lack of a set process of checking their work before leaving a site. Ultimately, the worst of everything was that it took RAV's 3-man crew 5.25 hours to move my stuff to a house located 10-15 minutes away, when it took one of their competitors, who only had a 2-man crew (which is also a hint as to which competitor I used), only 4 hours to move virtually the same set of belongings last year to a house 30 minutes away. I did not intend to complain publicly, but I did send a very civil email to the company on July 29 letting them know about these issues so that perhaps they could speak to the men involved and reinforce their training; I really appreciate the mission of the company and would love to see them be more efficient and complete tasks at a speed and quality that would enable them to be competitive with other companies. But I never received a response from the company, let alone an apology. I will not use this service again, and I will recommend that my friends not use them either. read more

Easy to schedule, easy to work with, reasonably priced, and FAST. My movers arrived at about 12:15 when I had been given an estimate of 12pm-4pm, so the experience started off great (I was expecting it to be like the cable company where you get a 4 hour window and who knows when they might get there but probably hours later). The crew moving me had required 3 movers for their morning job but I had been quoted prices and need for my small move for 2 movers, so I only was charged for the crew that was originally quoted to me and having the extra person there made everything a lot easier. Everything was out of my apartment within an hour, and everything was inside my new place within the next hour. Because of a funky hallway situation they had to partially disassemble my bed to get it into my bedroom, but even that was super fast. The crew was friendly and efficient and careful with my stuff. In total, the move took just under 3 hours and cost about $380. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the service and the extremely reasonable and affordable price. I expect to stay in my current place for quite a while, but whenever my next move comes around I'll definitely use Rent A Vet again. read more

I contacted RAV Movers by email for a move on July 21st. Tiffany replied with a quote within an hour. They sent a reminder the day before the move. They called 30 minutes before arriving and were right on time. Mathew, Roderick, and Guido, introduced themselves to my wife and I and went over the agreement and procedures. We did a brief walk through and they went to work. The temperature was over 100 degrees outside and they moved like it didn't effect them at all. They thanked us for having the beds taken apart and mirrors taken off the dressers. Communication was constant and professional. There wasn't one thing damaged including marks on walls. Their movers - Marvin, Byron, and Clarence - arrived on-time and were in constant motion the entire 5.5 hours while loading a 1800sq home into a 26' truck and unloading at our new house. Truly, these guys did not stop moving and worked with intention the full duration of the move. Throughout, they were each professional, courteous, and friendly - it was apparent that they readily enjoyed their jobs and working with one another. They showed great respect for our home(s) and property, taking every precaution to carefully wrap and move all items - without making even a single dent, ding, or scratch to any piece. Unbelievably fast. Called for "junk removal" and had my refrigerator hauled away the same day, just hours later. No exaggeration: one man moved my oversized French door refrigerator down a flight of steps without using a dolly, start to finish in exactly 16 mins! They charged me $60. I would give them 10 stars if i could! I had communicated with setting up the reservation and help and explained the extensive situation with us moving 3 houses into one. There was a lot of stuff! The young men that showed up were on time, polite, courteous, and extremely hard-working! I could not have been more pleased with the commitment to excellence that they performed all day long! They worked in 100 degree plus heat index and never missed a beat! My husband and I were very pleased with the care they gave our furniture, valuables and treasures. They wrapped and padded pieces as necessary, they braced everything in the truck as they packed it as full as the truck would allow. "Ants can withstand pressures up to 5,000 times greater than its own body weight" and that's what i was thinking of when I saw these gentlemen lift some colossal and heavy items. They coordinate really well to make sure that everything goes in its right place in a shortest amount of time with no damage. They were very flexible to address all of our last minute requests. I helped my friends move many times throughout the years, assembled IKEA furniture for my friend's company and I go to the gym regularly, nevertheless, each of these movers were at least three times as fast and strong. They sent me a text an hour and a half before they were supposed to arrive telling me that they couldn't make it today because they were understaffed. They sent a text, not a phone call but a text, didn't even have the courtesy to make a phone call and apologize for the inconvenience. The text said they would TRY to reschedule for tomorrow, TRY? really?! We had used them previously and they were wonderful and courteous. I understand this was unforseen and out of anyone's control but what's very disappointing and upsets me the most is the fact that they couldn't be bothered to pick up the phone to call and then when I called them he at the like I shouldn't have been upset. Luckily I was able to find another mover to get done that done. Less expensive and way better! read more

Rent a vet is great!!!!! Showed up in the designated window of time, and even called ahead to give us an ETA. We were moving from a 2B house to a 2B 2nd floor apartment. They got everything out of the house in less than an hour and had everything in the new place in a little over 2 hours (understandable since it was second floor with no elevator!). This was my 5th time using Rent A Vet for myself or family members and had never had a problem until now. The guys broke my new (purchased in Feb) 65inch flat screen TV when they bumped the corner of it into the ceiling fan. They said they would have to call Frank and ask him what they should do before we settled the bill. Frank told them he would discount the move $300 and that was more than he would normally pay. He first told me it was the law that he was only required to pay .60 cents per pound for a damaged item. After I submitted a copy of my receipt showing I paid $699 plus tax, he then replied it was their policy to only pay .60 cents a pound for damaged items. As I was planning on using their services for my next move, this decision sure cost Frank and Rent A Vet more than a replacement TV. If I could give the attitude of Frank a rating, it would be in the negative. read more

So we rent a public storage yesterday, and try to find a moving company who can help us move on the next two days. We called them yesterday in the afternoon and got a reservation today between 9-10. Had an incredible experience using Rent A Vet. First of all, you aren't going to find a better deal. These guys came in, dismantled, moved, and put all of my furniture back together for a flat hourly rate. I called several other moving companies for a quote and Rent A Vet actually cost me a fraction of what I thought that I would end up paying. Rent A Vet called ahead to let me know that they were en route to my apartment. They arrived approx. 15 minutes after their call time, right at 9 am. They were friendly and moved by furniture into the truck carefully. These guys make it look easy. When we arrived at my new place we hit some snags as this is a new apartment of which I knew very little. They rolled with the punches no problem, always being courteous and friendly. The team moved my furniture in about two hours. Everything looks great. If and when I move elsewhere I will absolutely use Rent A Vet and recommend that you should too. read more

The owner is very responsive. I got an estimated time window of one hour. The mover called me 30 min prior to arrival which was appreciated. Two movers showed up as expected both greeted me and told me their names. I had a treadmill still packed that needed to be moved from my main floor to an upstairs room. The package stated it weighed 300lbs. The movers made it up the stairs without issue and completed the job within 15 min. They even offered to throw away the packing materials. Experienced, professional, and friendly movers who get the job done well and in a reasonable time frame (they charge by the hour but didn't drag their feet at all). They neatly wrapped any furniture that could potentially get damaged on the way. They also covered stuff with a blanket to get it through the rain.
