For those of you that have not priced these things out before, quite a bit has changed over time...like the cost! Also, technology has moved on as well, so it's virtually impossible to replace "just the condenser" without all the additional furnace components...they simply won't work together. We called several HVAC contractors...one of them being the large energy company we all know in this area. They came in and did their inspection and were very professional. But their price was 50% higher than the local competition. Yes you read that right!! I wasn't concerned about the "big guys" doing it right, since they are our current utility firm and we have appliance contracts through them. But in light of these tough economic times, I really wanted to give it to a small business. I just wasn't sure how well they would stand behind their work and whether they would do it right the first time. I did research and found two other options. The one that really stood out was AAA Comfort Air in Cream Ridge, NJ. They had over 95 five-star reviews, and although anyone can fake a review, I still felt compelled to do my due diligence. I set an appointment for Emil (the owner) to come in and assess the situation. He was professional, took his shoes off before entering (not at our request), and clearly laid out what was needed and NOT what was most expensive. As a matter of fact, he recommended options that were less expensive vs. those that would simply feed his wallet without added benefit to us. His demeanor was polite, knowledgeable, and he took the time (over 1-hour) to really explain everything without pushing for the sale. Additionally, there are some unique challenges in our home that require minimal dust due to some family health issues and he offered to put up plastic to separate the rooms to ensure a clean work environment. Well, much to my surprise, Emil, came back with an estimate that was truly outstanding vs. simply "competitive". Likewise, his firm provides a 3-year parts and labor warranty (not an option...he just provides it) along with the condenser manufacturer's 10-year. The others only offered 1-year.... that in of itself really resonated with me! We decided to move forward, and I have to say, we made the right decision. Emil and his team were outstanding. They arrived on time, ready to go, and their work was outstanding. Everything was done in one day, with a clean install and a fully working system. Look, HVAC replacement won't make your home look nicer, but it surely is important. No one wants to spend that kind of money unless they have to. Emil and his team were not only very competitive, but they delivered on their promises and were very customer focused. If you are seriously considering a project like this, you need to consider AAA Comfort air. They deliver on their promises and care about their customers. They go above and beyond and deliver with an eye towards balancing price with efficiency. We highly recommend them and you should absolutely include them in your decision-making process. They truly are "AAA".

Superb quality service and care of customers is an attitude, which almost always begins with the leader and my wife's experience with Frank who owns Reed's Heating and Cooling bears that out! He was honest, responsive and caring even sharing with her his experience with the product she was purchasing. Frank spoke clearly and didn't use terminology that might confuse her. He honestly told her that he couldn't get the original product but that the one he was installing, which she would never notice was any different than the original product, actually cost less. He gave her the time for her questions and always returned phone calls. He knew he was in competition with other businesses and did his research to make sure she would be totally satisfied once it was installed! He cleaned it for 1/4 the price someone else tried to charge me and taught me a lot about my unit. Prior to him, I literally had 3 companies no-show, then one actually steal my money (I was dumb, I paid up front for a job half done. He didn't show up the next day and ghosted me.) This year, I called Chad again, and he came to fix an issue with my AC fan, and when it shuttered down after a few days, he replaced my unit completely. Chad and his team are THE BEST. I had called half a dozen AC people in the past year, and he was the only one who: 1) showed up on time 2) responded quickly 3) answered all my questions 4) was respectful and knowledgeable 5) did NOT try to upsell me, and tried really hard to fix my issues before recommending a new unit 6) SUPER honest about prices and options of AC models Above and beyond - when he heard my circuit breaker kept shorting out, causing me to have No AC, he opened the panel to investigate and noticed two AC units were running from the same breaker. He took extra time to fix this problem so I would not be out of AC again in my bedroom. I don't know what else to say. This guy knows what he's doing, and is super nice and trustworthy and responsive. I would highly recommend him. Let me also say, as a female, I feel 100% comfortable with this guy. It matters.

Their workers went into my freezer, opened my package of paper towels, and used an existing filter I had in my garage. instead of providing one. One of your workers made a sexual comment, and you fired him when I complained. The man who answers the phone is rude, disrespectful and lies. I paid them ten thousand dollars for a new system July 2025 and now they don't want to give me a service contract. I will be contacting the better business Bureau to see what my rights are. Is their work so bad that they don't want to issue a service contract?
