If it were possible I would give Affordable a Roofers a 6th star! They were extremely professional and efficient in their work! I was especially impressed with their clean up. This was not an insurance claim but we needed a new roof and our insurance agent suggested this company. I know there are less reputable roofing companies out there and so I was happy to get a referral to guide me in my decision. I called them to get a second opinion on my roof. The owner came and looked at it. Said I had 4 shingles missing and he would email me the quote on fixing it, since I'm selling y house. A week went by and no email. So I called over the coarse of 8 days, and left 3 messages. He never called me back. I called the office and Kim said she would get a quote to me by the end of the day. That was 10 days ago and she never sent anything. If this was too small a job for them, an email or call back saying this, would have been appropriate. We hired Affordable Roofing after meeting with a few different companies. I felt comfortable with Jim and appreciated the time and attention he gave me when he came out to bid the job. His price was in line with his competitors. I appreciated his flexibility to do a few other repairs while he was there as well. His crew came out and addressed our job quickly, efficiently, great communication. I was still holding my breath until my invoice came. We have been doing a lot of work at our house and this was the first time the amount billed was EXACTLY what the bid was for. I was relieved! It has not rained yet, so I'll update this review should I discover any quality issues. But it's fair to say I am very pleased with them and I will be calling them next time I need a roofer! read more

I told the contractor/sales guy that I was looking for an honest (not such thing anymore) cash bid, as I was not going through Insurance for my own reasons. For 5 minutes, he haggled me about why I should use insurance, and why this and that. He said he would call me back the next couple days to come out and give me an estimate, but never did. I guess, typical contractor, he was discouraged that he couldnt pad a bid and milk an insurance company. Too bad for this company, I just got my roof replaced by someone else. read more

Made a big deal about how they weren't like other contractors and he would be out himself. Never came never returned email or phone calls. Affordable Roofing did a great job on our roof in Estes Park, CO. We are very happy with the results. All members of the team were very professional!! They called when they said they would, showed up as promissed and completed the job as quoted. They started at 7:30 am and did not leave until everything was cleaned-up ! We were so impressed and would also give them 6 stars if we could. We especially liked the fact that when we had questions they were answered/addressed and taken care of immedidately. I wish I could give them negative stars! I had the worst experience with this company! We had a leak in our sun light and snow was coming so we called them (found them in the phone book, we believed the word 'affordable' in their name) and a guy came out. He got up on the roof, looked around and put a tarp over the leaking spot. His "free" estimate was for more than we wanted to pay, for much more work than we wanted done. We never received a bill but instead about a month later got a rude phone call saying that we were going to be charged interest since we did not pay. We got a bill a few weeks later for $300. $300 to put up a tarp! Outrageous! I want everyone to know this is a very sketchy company to do business with. read more

Professional, easy to work with, great results, thorough cleanup, etc. They began the work just before the September 2013 rains and floods, and got it finished in extremely difficult conditions. They were very thorough going over our roof and letting us know exactly where things needed fixed. Their staff was very friendly and helpful as well as honest. Very rude employees from the workers to the supervisor to the boss, showing no respect for the homeowner. I live in a town home and the roofing work was ordered by the HOA so I had no input on the scheduling and there was no notification of the exact days the roofing work was to be done. When I saw the roofing materials had been delivered, I called the the man identified as the project manager on the flyer posted on my front door, and told him my son was having major surgery and would be recuperating at my home for several days. When I gave him the dates he told me not to worry that the work should be completed before that time. Instead the workers showed up within the first hour after we returned from the hospital. I had several discussions with the project manager, the workers and the supervisor, all of whom told me that their boss advised them to roof my unit that day no matter what. I was told he would be contacting me but he never did. The project manager told me that, even though I am the homeowner, I had no authority to keep them off my roof. After several heated confrontations they did move on to other town homes in the complex that day and the next but then started on my roof at 7:45 AM on Saturday. After 3 1/2 hours of pounding directly above my recovering son who was trying to sleep, I asked the supervisor how much longer it would take them to finish. He was very belligerent and told me it would be another 3 hours even though I finally got him to admit that all they had left was the flashing, which would take under an hour. The work on my complex was not actually scheduled to be completed until the next week, so they easily could have done the work on my unit the following Monday, which was what I initially requested. The whole ordeal added much stress to an already stressful situation. This rudeness and lack of respect likely trickles down from upper management. All I wanted was to have a civilized discussion with someone who would understand the situation, show some sympathy and offer to complete my unit the following week, while they were still working on other units in my complex, even if it meant going out of order. However, despite repeated requests, no one stepped up, which indicates that belligerence, rudeness and lack of respect is likely the culture of the company. I would not recommend hiring Affordable Roofing and Restoration. read more

I work for an insurance agency and we were recommending them to customers, because they were doing a good job. Then, we recommended a person who works in our office (not a customer) to affordable. The roof was being but on right around the rains in September and affordable did not tie down the tarp and the whole house was flooded. Also the house is a 100 year old house and the owner warned them to use smaller nails so that it would not go through the soffits (which to me should be a no brainer for a roofing company) Which they didn't listen and the used nails that went through the soffits. Affordable now months later, has not finished the roof and has not fixed any of the damage and has stopped returning the owners phone calls. The owner has had to hire a lawyer and as you can imagine it has made their lives hell with a destroyed house (they have little kids too) Then we have another customer that we recommended affordable roofing to. This customer needed the main roof section of his house replaced, he had one area that had sheet metal that was in excellent condition and did not need to be replaced. The roofers decided it would be a good idea to drag their materials and craw all over the sheet metal roof section that they were not replace and they scratched it all up. Affordable said that this was normal and the owner had to fight to get them to replace it. Also the owner had a pop up trailer next to the side of the house. The roofers decided it was a good idea to stand on the pop up trailer. Of course this caused the pop up trailers roof to bow in. Affordable roofing is refusing to pay for the trailer saying that the pop up trailer should have been able to hold someone standing on it. The owner Jim will not take responsibility for the actions of his employees and he has hired people who do not have a clue what they are doing.They do have a couple people who have great experience and are very knowledgeable. These people are not the ones putting the roofs on, they are just the ones that do the estimate. read more
