I thought the bearings were worn on the heater fan. After Joe removed 2 pounds of acorns that the Blue Jays had deposited in the vent, the heater worked fine. Over time, Joe has done simple maintenance such as packing and greasing bearings as well as replacing our worn out refrigerator and air-conditioner, and repairing/replacing the power cord from the trailer to our truck. We make an appointment, take the trailer in and get it back, usually the same day. His work is guaranteed and his prices are fair. We have been going to him since he took over the business from Greg years ago and couldn't be more satisfied with his services. Joe provided a perfect repair as he has the knowledge n expertise to rebuild my door frame, the landing and reattach the stairs. He rebuilt all of the items i mentioned including fabrication of the the door frame and landing in my Class Plus he had to repair our sink. Joe fixed the previous repair by Anchors Mobile RV Repair-which includes scrapping off all the excess caulk they applied to attached the sink to the counter. Joe reattached the sink to the countertop plus reattached the drain line. Plus Joe did all of the above in 1 very long day! We stumbled on Affordable RV Repair down the road from our RV storage when we discovered a shower leak in our 2022 Grand Design 5th wheel which had damaged the floor . The owner , Joe Stedman, was quick to assess the RV and advise us of the extent of the damage which required replacing a huge part the bathroom floor. The floor replacement required the removal and reinstallation of a bathroom and kitchen wall and shower framework. We also asked him to check our squeaky slide and upon inspection , he determined that the motor and slide rails were failing , a common problem with the heavy slides in Grand Designs. While he was working on another rig, he glanced at our roof and saw that the caulking (approx.5 years old) was failing. This too was repaired and as a precautionary measure he serviced the axles and wheel bearings We were more than pleased with the excellent quality of Joe's work . Based on past experiences, we have no doubt that another repair service would not been as thorough in repairing our RV at double the price. We are so happy that we found Affordable RV ! We were looking for a reasonable solution for a repairing a seal problem on our slide out and installing a new awning. After multiple calls to others with time and price estimates all over the map, Joe gave us a firm appointment time and an estimate of time/hourly rate for the work. The work was finished on time, priced fairly and affordably, and he added extra bracing on the awning beyond the manufacturer's supplied screws to ensure proper support. Joe is extremely hard to communicate with. Can't get a straight answer on anything. Extremely poor customer service. Told him that I would pay for the time to walk around my RV and give me some costs to fix. No tools required and he didn't want to do it. How can you possibly provide repair quotes without an inspection? Also booked out for two months! He was extremely rude to me and my 12 year old son. We took our 14 year old RV in for long-neglected maintenance and repairs. Joe spent a lot of time with us making sure he understood our needs and providing us with options. I called Affordable RV Repair to ask about winterizing our Airstream. Joe answered and was able to squeeze us in the next day. Not only did he winterize and wash it, he went down to the storage lot it's parked in and towed it up to his shop, completed the work and then towed it back down for us. When I went to pick up my trailer at a nearby storage lot, I found it had a flat tire. I could not get the lug nuts off. We had camping reservations to get to.
