This review is in regard to their service department. Although I had a pretty positive sales experience, I can't say the same about their service department. I have had my TT for a little over two years now and I have had to take my TT in a handful of times for warranty work. Booking a service appointment is about the only easy part of the process. Each visit, my TT has sat for at least two months before finally being worked on. In total, I have lost about 8 months of use between all my warranty repair visits. There always seems to be a break down in communication between service and the manufacture in getting warranty work approval. I have had to reach out to the manufacture on occasion only to be told it was service who dropped the ball when submitting paperwork. Every time I bring my TT here, there is a new service person behind the counter. Every time I get my TT back, I notice a new scratch or scuff mark. If their service department matched their sales department, this place would be unmatched. Management really needs to shake things up in this department. read more

Received a call from Thomas and he is working with me to resolve my issue with the slide not coming back in under power, but it can be hand cranked in. We will be selling our trailer due to safety issue, three steps on the inside up to the bedroom and my wife has a little difficulty going down so we want a pull trailer with everything on one level. We will be looking for a nice used one fairly new. As for now, I highly recommend this RV dealership. read more

We dropped our 5th wheel off to FLRV in September 2022, knowing they were backed up we knew it would take some time. However By January there was still no progress on our rig. It was in for a roof replacement being done via insurance claim and cable repair to both large roll outs that we were paying for out of pocket as they had developed slack and sight fraying. We were told because of the rain they had not started it, inferring they planned to do the job outside with the roof off of our rig. We decided to have patience, but still letting them know we were moving out of state in April and would need our rig as we will be living in it for some time. Finally in March it was ready. When my husband went to pick it up he wanted to verify the air conditioners still worked after being taken off and put back on, upon turning them on the entire trailer was filled with a snow storm of saw dust. The technicians had not cleaned up the debris from their work and left it in the roof. They 'cleaned it up' and the room rolled in and out and the roof appeared fine on visual inspection. Never mind the roof is white instead of tan because when the ordered roof arrived at FLRV it was not opened and inspected, we did not have time for them to re-order the correct color as we needed our rig back. After getting it home it was stored for a few weeks while we got our home listed and sold. When we brought it down and got inside it: I had to clean up more sawdust and remove all the light fixtures to clean the saw dust out of them. I noticed the fan frames on the main fan in the living space and the bathroom were cracked, they had not been damaged before going in for repair. There is a cut in the bathroom floor from a sharp tool or something hitting or being used on the floor. The dining roll out room board on the far side facing was split and just put back on. The thin facing board on the room closest to the door had been broken in half and stapled back together with some putty that does not match the wood. After a rain storm I noticed the facing wood around the front door was wet about 2 inched from the floor, after looking for the cause we discovered that when the fans were removed and put back in they used the old seals instead of replacing them. This caused a leak in the main living area that seeped in and ran along the ceiling to the top of the door, trickling down and pooling at the bottom of the door ruining the facing boards. I called and sent pictures to FLRV and finally received a reply a week before moving that we would need to bring it back in for those items and they would need it for 4 to 6 weeks. I let them know we were moving and could not bring it in and we would be living in it so taking it somewhere for repair would not be possible. Since then we have received no communication from them. At minimum I believe they should refund the money we paid out of pocket for the cable repair. I would not recommend Folsom Lake RV for any kind of service work! read more

IDENTITY THEFT: On April 5, 2023 we were contacted by the Citrus Heights Police Department. The department had made an arrest of a person that had our personal identification and credit documents. They found a credit application that was stolen from Folsom RV. See the attached photo. We called Folsom RV on April 6, 2023 and they knew nothing about it. We have had several contacts from the Citrus Heights PD but we have never heard back for Folsom RV. It's all great when one finds the perfect trailer that meets your needs. What is more important is the service you are supposed to receive. If you folks are out looking for the trailer/RV of your choice, I strongly suggest you spend no time at Folsom RV. Has serious issues of poor workmanship of the Olympia trailer. The unit was slapped together, not cut to fit and basically had to be stripped then rebuilt. I took it in for things that were wrong, leaking shower, awning that we never got to use one time because it was recalled and nothing was fixed the first time we took it in. The employee in service didn't even order the parts that was needed. I went in person that person in service left and so did the sales manager. A new service associate helped me get the trailer repaired after six months of misery. I went to Folsom RV and I asked to get the RV corrected, extremely rude service manager, wouldn't recommend him to the competition. The new Sales Manager didn't have a clue. I asked for an addition year of warranty after all this misery and inconvenience. They said no! I'm tell you fine folks run like hell from this place. The worst customer service possible. The new service admin is great, however the management and customer service can't get any worse! read more

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy or take your RV here for service. Aug 18th 2023: Took my trailer there for some simple repairs after the first year, nothing too major all cosmetic including damage they caused. Bought trailer there BTW. After multiple assurances they had all the parts and very clearly explaining the date I needed the trailer back, 1 month after drop off, and being assured it would be ready long before that I decided, against my gut feeling, to take it in as everything was under warranty. What a mistake that was. Aug 18 2023: trailer drop off. Explained all issues and confirmed latest pickup date as Sept 15th due to next camping trip. Sept 1 2023: I get a text that the decal they have is incorrect and they need to order new ones. No ETA was given despite multiple requests for one. All voicemails and requests for call back went unanswered. Sept 8 2023: parts come in. Notified by text. Again no ETA provided. Sept 13 2023: called for status update. Service advisor not available. Requested call back. Call not returned. T-minus 2 days before I need trailer back Sept 14: called for status update. Service advisor not in. Tech working on TT not in. Decal work not completed. Advised I need my TT back tomorrow and I will be there to pick it up the next day as planned. Requested call from ranking person to discuss issues. Call returned this time. Platitudes provided but not well received. As I was picking up my trailer I noticed a massive gash in the counter top that they JUST INSTALLED. The guy tried to play it off as 'oh, I didn't notice that.' How do you miss a massive gash?!? It was visible right when you walk in. They also managed to screw up the decal replacement. Around and around we go. Long story short, I should've listened to my gut and never taken it back in. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague. They just changed ownership as well but quality still sucks. read more

Somewhat helpful throughout sales, but it's all down hill from there. Service department is a nightmare. Bought a new trailer from FLRV 16 months ago. Have brought it back for multiple issues under warranty. Each time they only fix half of the problems. Took them 16 months to replace the rock guard that the sales rep noted needed replaced during our walk through during purchase. They forgot to order the parts 3 times and each time told me it was replaced and ready for pick up. Took 3 trips to repair water leaks. First time they didn't even do anything. Mechanics noted "could not recreate issue" and didn't do anything even though I showed them pictures of the leaks. Didn't even attempt to replace the fittings, just gave it right back. Replaced exterior compartment door and returned it to me without swapping the cam lock over to the new door. New door didn't even have a lock on it at all. I replaced the cam locks when I bought the trailer so it didn't have the same CH751 key that everybody has. The compartment door was locked when I dropped it off, so the mechanic would have had to use the key to unlock it to perform the work. Common sense, they would have noticed the irregular key and known to swap the cam to the new door. Instead they threw the old door away with the lock so now I have to replace the lock again at my cost. During all these trips dropping off and picking up, electric stabilizer jack quit working properly. While troubleshooting, the roll pin for the manual crank also broke off. Added stabilizer jack to list of repairs. During latest text exchange regarding repairs/pick-up, service rep confirmed entire stabilizer jack assembly had been replaced. Upon pick-up today, discovered the roll pin had been replaced, but the entire assembly was not replaced and the jack was still not working. Due to all warranty repairs being complete and jack not being replaced under warranty, I decided to cut ties and replace the jack myself. I've lost count of how many times I have dropped this trailer off and picked it up due to repairs not being done. I am not new to RV's, so I understand new rigs have kinks to work out, but this has nothing to do with the RV itself. There were at least 5 times I went to pick up and repairs that were supposed to be completed were not done and/or parts never ordered. I have been through 4 different service reps, 5 different technicians and 3 service managers. Every time, they give an excuse of "we're having growing pains", "that why that person doesn't work here anymore", or "we just went through an ownership change and dealing with previous owner's problems". I'm sorry, but those excuses are only admissible for so long. These problems come directly from ownership and management having no clue how to run a business or deal with customer service. The employees are doing their best with what they have, but there is clearly an issue with communication, inventory tracking, order tracking, & service processing. The changes needed to make this place operate successfully can only come from the top down. Now that our warranty period is over, we will be taking our business for services somewhere else. read more

Terrible customer service. They have no empathy when their brand new equipment fails, how much of an inconvenience it is to hall the R.V. in. I'm an hour away and have already been back for repairs 3 times and Ive only had the R.V. for two months. It cost me $50 in gas and half a days work each time I have to hall it in. And to top it off they still haven't fixed the problem. They make all the promises up front then don't deliver. I even paid an extra $3k for extended warranty. Very disappointed. read more

Just want to take a moment to recognize the extraordinary efforts of the service department. In this day and age when it takes so long to be scheduled, they went the extra mile to have our trailer ready for a 3 month cross country trip. After numerous attempts (and failures) at other RV places, our purchased new trailer was finally brought up to snuff. Shon leads a magnificent team, rising above our expectations. They even over night delivered a major part needed, fronting the money until our extended warranty kicked in, just to get us on the road in time. I was in a bind...and needed a trailer that my SUV would pull easily and safely and still be comfortable to live in. To make the sale easy, they let me test drive the trailer using their Ford Escape which was smaller than my Highlander, and the Free Solo was so easy to pull! that made the sale for me, along with the great price and sale they had going that weekend. Brad my sales rep, was awesome, so caring and kind. Then the sales manager and service managers were awesome! they made the sale and paperwork easy, then Melinda! What a blessing she is! Carrie is the best in Service! She got my walk through and some minor fixes done before I drove out. We just bought our 1st travel trailer a few weeks back from FLRV and had a great experience overall. Being brand new too RVing, we had a ton of questions. Everyone that we interacted with, from sales, to financing, to service, were very helpful and took the time to answer our many, many questions (thanks Zach and Melinda). Now, I can not speak to how they do with repairs and/or service issues since we have only had our rig for a few weeks. I am hoping that we would have that same great experience on that end as well. One thing I have learned, from all the various Facebook groups for RVing, is that service and repairs tend to take longer versus car repairs and car service. Do not waste your time here. Bought a brand new Montana fifth wheel from them in 2017. Problems from the get go. Rear back up camera didn't work. Went back and forth with them the get it working. There answer bring it in. We live in Utah so that's not going to happen. How about a authorized dealer near me? No we need to have it here. So I took it in to a local dealer and they never hooked up the camera. Found out a couple of weeks ago that there was a leak and water was dripping out of the coach. Called and of course bring it in. Not happening so I hired a rv expert to come out and trace the leak. It was the washing machine. When they installed it they didn't tighten the cold water hose into the back of the washer. That developed a slow leak. Sent them photos of how the drip pan was not installed correct and only had three sides and had no drain hose attached to it. Spoke with the general manager today and he informed me that is was due to the coach being moved. Yes we moved it from California to Utah where it has been since. We live full time and don't move it. We don't use the coach laundry because we have a laundry here at our resort. So what it boils down to is it's our fault. Again don't waste your time. In response to Rachel's comment below, you offered to contact Montana to see if they would do anything and I have not heard from you, nor do I expect to so it wasn't up to me to respond to you. Worst warranty service in the industry. I purchased our Fifth Wheel back in March for Folsom Lake RV last March. Took in for service on a list of 13 punch items and told it would be 3 weeks for completion. 6 weeks later I go to do the pick up and not one thing was repaired. Work with Service Supervisor and parts get ordered because they never were. Parts did not come in until September so I scheduled repairs for November. After they had my trailer another week I found out they have not even started it yet. I have now been told it could be a few more weeks. By the time my initial punch list is done they will have my trailer for approximately 8 weeks of it's first year. I recommend going to another dealer. read more

We brought our fifth wheel in for maintenance and some minor repairs. They had our rig for over 2 months. During that time period, we had to go over the repair list with them at least three times. Nothing was apparently written down. We found out that they managed to break one of our landing legs. Then, when we got the rig home, we found out that they had also broken our electric cord lid. We aren't going to ask them to fix the cover because we are afraid they might keep it for another 2 months. This is the most unorganized and sloppy repair shop we have ever experienced. Went in to look at their inventory and were instantly asked what we were looking for. We told the gentleman we are undecided and would like to just look at the inventory he insisted on asking what we were looking for. We told him we know we would like something under 30ft but that was about it but would like to just look around because maybe our thoughts on what we needed would change. He took us to three trailers all Bunkhouses and told us that is all he had that fits our needs. We then asked if we could look at the rest of the inventory and he said I showed you everything that fits your needs. It almost seemed like he was annoyed that we asked to look at the inventory. We just left and spent our money at another dealer who was more than welcoming, not rude, demeaning. I highly don't recommend this dealer unless you like dealing with a holes. read more

Lies, lies, lies. Run from this place. Purchased a brand new 60,000 dollar fifth wheel in March. Had some warranty issues. Have now had it back for service three times and each time they assured us the problem was fixed. It never was. The last time the excuse was that they could not get inside to check to see if it was fixed or not because the door was blocked from another rv. This was after we drove 11/2 hours each way for service. We have been promised numerous times that we would get a phone call back with arrangements to fix the problem which was noted on the day of delivery. Here we are 6 months later and still no plan to actually fix the problem. Called again today and they indicated the service manager was at lunch and would call back when he returned. Another lie. No call. Go anywhere else to purchase an rv. Would give zero stars if I could. read more

Had the best customer service experience on Friday July 30th. The staff solved my warranty problem and the service manager was outstanding. She heard my issues and took care of our problem without any hassle. Then as we were leaving, an employee (Finn), without hesitation hooked our trailer up and even gave me a part from his toolbox that I needed (I forgot to bring a small rod for my hitch). What's most impressive was "Finn" was doing this on his own time (he had clocked off and happen to see me starting to hook up). Folsom Lake RV hires idiots. Went in to look into a new 5th wheel. Told the salesman what I am looking for and my budget. Told him I did not want an outside kitchen or outside TV. The first two we looked at had outside kitchens and TV's. I wanted a front bedroom with a king bed. He showed us a rear bed that was a double. Everything we were shown was 10,000 to 18,000 over budget. Save time, money and frustration. DON'T EVEN CONSIDER Folsom Lake RV. You will be very sorry. read more

My experience at FLRV started out as a good one. When purchasing my trailer, it was a great experience. When I had issues within the first year (all RV's will have a problem at some point, new and old), they were great taking care of little issues here and there. After my warranty ended, it changed. Almost hitting my two years of ownership the fresh water tank got a crack in it. I thought this would be a straight forward fix, it was just a matter of time and money to do it. I was boondocking at the time. I called and they said they would look into it and call me back. No one called me back. I called again a few days after returning from my trip asking for an update and had to explain the service I needed again as if I never called. Evidently, no one actually took my information and was following-up. This is when I was notified they no longer do work with that manufacturer. (I was not told this at the time of purchase or during my warranty period.) Because of this, there would be an issue getting an OEM tank from them. At the time, I didn't know if it was because of the manufacturer or them. Ultimately, they believed an aftermarket tank would be ideal. I requested a quote. No one called me back on this. At this point, I wasn't surprised. A few days later, I called for the third time and had to explain myself again. Someone on the phone was able to give me a rough estimate, but they needed to see the trailer and take measurements. Of course, this was understandable, but I thought since they sold me my trailer, they would know everything about it. The quote was astronomical (IMO) for a tank swap. It required at least 8 hours of labor. I asked them confirm this, but of course, no one called me back. It was only until the fourth call did I finally get a confirmed quote, but still could change depending on what they saw. The quote included taking the tank off, measuring it, ordering an aftermarket tank, and then installing the new tank. The cost of an aftermarket tank seemed to escalate the cost for me. I ended up making an appointment. The tank replacement, was close to $3k. The lack of support for getting OEM parts from the manufacturer seemed to make supporting my purchase difficult for them and expensive for me. Plus, the additional labor costs added to remove the tank and measure. When I purchase something like an RV, I had the expectation the dealer would be able to procure parts. I'm not asking for anything free or discounted, I just need support at a reasonable time and cost if not just for the reason of customer loyalty. The lack of call backs, personal effort to get answers, and incredibly high quote really had me question if I wanted any service from them at all. I ended up canceling this appointment because... In contrast, I called another service department which mirrored the same issue with the manufacturer. Despite this, they told me they had to make some calls and that they had to call me back after talking with the manufacturer. They called me back as promised on the day they said they would. Not only did they call me back, they provided a solid quote for the "OEM tank" and the service/labor, which was a fraction of cost. It seemed like a non-issue for them. This was only the second time talking with them and they confirmed everything I needed at a reasonable cost and 2 hours of labor. More importantly, they seemed to know more about my trailer and was confident in the replacement. There was no second-guessing. I only provided them the VIN. When they saw my trailer the quote actually reduced due to the labor. Overall, I had a great experience when purchasing my RV with FLRV. Their sales staff and finance group are great and very helpful and I believe they still are. When under warranty, service and support was very helpful and eager to get me back on the road. That being said, after my warranty was over my experience changed. Note, I found out that they stopped supporting the manufacturer about the time of my purchase. I was unaware of this. Sales is one thing, but getting long term support (note, my trailer was only 2 years old) is crucial for me. I was hoping for an all-around purchase and support model from FLRV despite their relationship with the manufacturer. It would be difficult for me to recommend them as service/support for my product is just as important as the purchase regardless if they're still doing business with them. Getting a good deal is one thing, but knowing they'll be able to support my purchase is just as important and part of the overall value. If you're looking for a great deal, I would honestly give them a shot. If service and support is just as high on your list, you may want to consider my experience. read more

Issues still being dealt with since my last post on 5/24/2017. We finally took delivery of our camper after a month of chasing and pushing. The new Service Manager Robin was amazing, but it was clear that she took over quite a mess. She did her best to make right what the previous manager had done and we truly appreciated it. Unfortunately, after the walkthrough when the tech was closing the camper down, the door came loose and gouged the countertop. An accident yes, but at this point we're all like COME ON.....so they ordered a new countertop. Now on to the next chapter, new countertop is in so we drive all the way down again and I list off the other 2 items that I had been asking for since we purchased it. There was a factory sink drain connection and a stove top bungee that per the owners manual were supposed to be in the camper but never were. They did a very fast turn around on getting the replacement countertop installed, I was very pleased with that. They also provided the correct drain attachment this time. Unfortunately yet again they missed the mark on simply providing the bungee that is needed to hold the range top closed when the counter is folded over. Instead of simply ordering the bungee from the manufacturer or finding a suitable replacement they felt it best to DRILL TWO HOLES IN THE NEW COUNTERTOP, SCREW IN D RINGS AND PLACE AN AUTOMOTIVE TIE DOWN BUNGEE ACROSS THE RANGE COVER TO HOLD IT DOWN INSTEAD OF USING THE FACTORY HOOKS CLEANLY INSTALLED UNDER THE LIP OF THE COUNTERTOP......FURIOUS...... The tech then told me that he had no idea those hooks were there so he did this. I called BS because I had used para-cord to tie it down with the factory hooks so he or someone else had to have removed it and therefore would have known about them. Not to mention this is a camper they sold on their lot....how can your people service a product they obviously know nothing about. Now they are ordering another new countertop. I didn't even want to take it home, I'm so tired of dragging this camper back and forth to this place. I told them to keep it until it was fixed and really that I didn't even want the damn thing any longer. I have owned it 7 months, they have had it in the shop for a total of 5 weeks in that time and we have only been able to use it twice. My feeling is that when we go to pick it up, there will be a discussion about how happy they are going to be to buy it back from us......hint hint Folsom Lake RV.... I do want to be sure to note that the new Service Manager Robin has done everything in her power to help us and has empathized with everything that has happened. Her team just seems to be working against her. (My words not hers) Robin is very nice, but I just hope no one will have the need to do service here. By far the worst customer service I have ever encountered. The salesman Eddy was a pleasure to work with, however that is the only positive feedback I can provide. I purchased my Genesis 34gs fifth wheel from them almost a year ago and FLRV has been in possession of it for approximately 8 out of the 12 months due to self inflicted issues from their service technicians. I ordered an all seasons underbody wrap with the trailer and the way FLRV installed it completely sealed off the vents which damaged the refrigerator and caused the generator to overheat nearly catching the compartment on fire. The patio kit was not installed completely and two brackets were left out which posed a HUGE safety issue. We have not been able to enjoy it because of the fear one of the kids may lean against it and it give way causing them to fall off the edge When they installed the gooseneck hitch in my truck they left out the safety chain hooks, broke my 7 way, and installed the hitch crooked by almost an inch. I spent almost $100 to have a different shop re-install the hitch. They did not know how to setup the auto leveling system, I had to research and figure out how to calibrate everything myself. Keep in mind that many issues are still not resolved. I have had problems since day one and communication between Angel, Robin, and anyone else who is in a so called "management" position at FLRV is few and far between. After my trailer was in service for 4 months having the refrigerator repaired, I picked it up only to find that the refrigerator STILL does not work. There are screws missing and panels hanging off on the fridge as well and I STILL do not have the patio kit fixed. Their service is terrible and their technicians seem to have no care or concern, let alone common sense. I would highly recommend buying a trailer elsewhere, even if it means driving a little further. I live about 45 minutes away and strongly believe in spending money locally, however I will not be returning to FLRV once the outstanding issues I have are resolved nor will I recommend them to anyone. ***IN RESPONSE TO RACHEL*** Thank you for your concern, although I find it unbelievably ridiculous that it takes a public and broad internet review on FLRV to receive service that I feel was deserved from day one, I do look forward to hearing what your new service manager has to say. Especially about the recent four months my trailer was in service without any thing fixed. As I stated in my previous comments this has been an ongoing issue for about a year now and please believe when I say the last thing I wanted to do was degrade a local business on the internet. Made an appt. for a service had to wait 2 months to get it in. When we got there no one put us in the book. So we were told it would be 2 weeks before they could get to it. Well 6 1/2 weeks later we finally got it back after i called 3 times and pushed them to finish. But when we got it home tried to put the pop out out and half way through it made a large pop and stopped. When we we checked out what was wrong the cable is very loose and catching on the other cable. I guess they did not bother to pop out the pop out and inspect it. Also we had were having issues with the rear lights flashing but they never even checked that out. Will never go back or buy another trailer from them. When we purchased the trailer in 20 they were great but the service department sucks. read more

Last year (Jan 2016), we bought a 2016 Keystone Cougar 28' Travel Trailer. The entire point, of course, was to use it (and, we thought, to do so trouble-free). We are RIDICULOUSLY METICULOUS when it comes to things like this. We've read the manual, we do everything it says, and we do it when it says to...and that thing is washed, waxed, and covered when not in use for any period of time. Folsom Lake RV Center and Keystone RV...we have mixed emotions. First, SUPER nice people at both companies, zero complaints there. I actually really like everyone I've met or talked with. So kudos to both places in that regard. BUT, let's get to the "why we bought it" part. We bought it to use it. And we have had a few too many problems in my opinion from the get-go. It started with stupid little things. Then the brakes prematurely failed last year. They were under warranty, but getting prompt service was an entirely different deal. Then the clean-out valve failed in July 2016 while on vacation. Another month-long scheduling debacle. Again, they are polite, but they tell us their hands are tied every single time. Fast forward to May 2017. We had been asking about why the slide-out seemed "rough." We were told it was fine. So, we did what the manual said, and we used the spray purchased at Folsom Lake specifically made to maintain the slide-out cables. Maybe it just needed lube. Almost immediately, the slide began to violently "vibrate" upon moving it in and out, as though off balance. We called immediately. Not to worry, they said. Probably just needs adjustment to the cables (this call was the third week of May). Soonest we could get it in was June 29th. I called back and pleaded...we were leaving for Hawaii on June 19th! Couldn't we PLEASE get it in before we left with the thought that it could stay there until the first week of July? They kindly accommodated us. June 17: Brought it in to leave it for diagnosis and repair. June 30 (a Friday): still no word, so I called. I'm told it "just went into a service bay today." Hmmm. Really? Just today? I was suspicious. Anyway, service is closed Sundays and Mondays, and of course closed on July 4th. I was told to call back on Wednesday, July 5th. July 5th: I called. Was told that it was "just being looked at in a service bay today," and they'd get back to me. That's what they'd said June 30th, too. But okay... July 8th: Service called me (it's a Saturday). GUESS WHAT? MAJOR MECHANICAL FAILURE. CAN'T FIX THE SLIDE HERE BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE THE ABILITY TO PULL OUT AN ENTIRE SLIDE. Suggested I call Keystone. No idea, they said, who can accommodate the repair. "Sorry," they said. Oh, and "...you can use the slide, but we wouldn't recommend it. It'll probably damage it more. And your MFR warranty is expired." And it wasn't clear if the EasyCare extended warranty we'd bought FROM THEM for $1,500 would cover it either...WHAT?? OMG Well, anyone who knows anything about the RV world knows our 2017 Summer travel season is ruined. I spent HOURS on the phone on Monday morning contacting our extended warranty, Keystone, and every authorized repair facility between Davis and Tahoe. The SOONEST we could get in ANYWHERE was July 25th, and it would be AT LEAST 2-3 weeks in a service bay. I'm a teacher. I have to be back to work on Aug. 15. We have had to entirely cancel the rest of our summer trailer plans. We are basically just paying monthly to store something that is barely a year old that we can't use for my entire summer break. And it's not even clear who is taking responsibility for the cost of the repair (though Keystone says they will cover it if it's their defect...so my fingers are crossed). Shout out to Affordable RV Rentals INC in Newcastle. They were so accommodating, and got us in July 25th (the same day we were supposed to be in our campsite in the mountains)...they can EITHER do a manufacturers defect repair OR a repair covered by the extended warranty, so we are safe either way. They promise to diagnose and get a claim started within 3 days of the day we drop it off (a MIRACLE in this crazy industry). If they are good to their word, they'll have all of our RV business going forward, hands down. We love RVing--we hate the BULL$#!T. If we had KNOWN that Folsom Lake RV couldn't do a major slide repair much EARLIER, we could have made an appointment elsewhere weeks earlier, and the repair would already be underway, no hard feelings. I don't want to write a bad review, but this is so unacceptable...how can I NOT share this? Super bummed, no getting around it. Keystone shares responsibility. But everyone should know this before they buy. MORAL OF THE STORY? If you're gonna buy new, Insist on timely repairs from your dealer IN WRITING, or buy it from somewhere who will agree to this. And only buy an extended warranty that covers both manufacturer defects AND mechanical failures, bumper to bumper. Otherwise, it's not worth the paper it's written on. read more
