Was back here yesterday afternoon as I had them replaced my vehicle after I had a flat tire. The same person installed the tire. Such a nice person who cared. Yes, it only cost me $75 for the one tire. Yes, it looks new. As I said a few months ago they do take cash. If you give them a credit card, he might charge you another five dollars or so. Didn't ask again. It took only half an hour and they dispose the flat tire. I highly recommend this place. If you need either used or new tires and you have a budget, I suggest this place. My tire had holes all of a sudden. I called towing. 175!?? I called for used tires from places. My car is Toyota Camry 2000. My tire size isn't common. This place let me borrow tools. I take an Uber to them, borrow tools to lift my car n remove the wheel. Then I Uber back to my car n remove the wheel. Then I uber again to the shop so they replace my tire. Then I uber again to my car n put the wheel back on. (I left the car lift underneath the whole time) I have a new, strong tire. It feels so different driving it. Very good business. Been coming here for a while now and usually deal with the older gentleman, I forget his name but he has always been very understanding and fair. However the younger guy they have now is not at all, he comes off as arrogant and rude. On Friday, i got a tire from them and paid $70 for it which is on the pricey side i'd say for a used tire even in good shape. Today, the next Tuesday, i come out and see that the tire is totally flat. I don't see any damage to the tire sidewall and i figured since it's only been 4 days, i'm sure they could give me a patch or something just to help out. That was NOT the case. The younger man was constantly telling me that it's not his fault because the tire was used and even after 4 days, there was nothing he could do unless i wanted to pay more. When i told him that was a bit ridiculous as it had only been a few days, he started chuckling telling me i could come and pay or there's nothing they could do. But they said they would try to repair them. Both patches have worked very well. I am still driving with those patched tires. Gone to LA and Sacramento with no issues. Tire pressure maintains! I've been coming here on and off for the past 2 years...I love supporting local businesses and they do good work mounting and balancing. It pains me to make this my first yelp review. I've only dealt with Wais and he always charged me what we both felt was fair for mounting and balancing: $20/wheel & tire. Mind you I bring the wheels and tires loose, off of the car to make it easier. Today I had the displeasure of dealing with Mohammed for the first time. I brought in 4 wheels and tires to be mounted and balanced...loose, off of the car. After placing them on the floor of their shop, before I left I asked how much will this run me to make sure I get the same rate Wais has been charging me. Mohammed stated $100 for the 4 wheels & tires and caught me off guard. I told him Wais has always charged me $80 for a set of wheels & tires. Mohammed said he always charges everyone the same rate of $25/wheel & tire. I told him that's too much since Wais charges me less and will take it somewhere else then. Mohammed just shrugged his shoulders immediately and said sorry man and grabbed a wheel and tire and threw back in my SUV. Didn't even try to save my business at all. I have no problem paying $25/wheel & tire if they were attached to the car and need dismounting. However bringing 4 LOOSE wheels and tires is not worth $25. It's all about consistency and principle for me which obviously Mohammed has neither of. I will not be coming back here again. read more

RETURNING CUSTOMER A++ Mohammad and Wais once again came to my rescue. Couple of my tires were showing wire already and Needed tires ASAP since its starting to rain and this is my main car now. Safety is my main issue so I was desperate for a set of rubbers to last me until I re do my suspensions and rims. I made a quick call to them and Wais offered me multiple options. I ended up choosing really good Continentals for my BMW that were the perfect staggered set up with my wheels. they helped me out and gave me an awesome price for all 4 tires with balancing and mounting out the door. I bought tires from them new and used even got an alignment never did they tell me my truck wouldn't be aligned correct due to me buying two used front tires so they happily charged me sent me out my way got on the freeway and my problem is still there called them and they said I bought used tires so the alignment wouldn't be 100% but they did not mentioned that or even tried to help me out . I am going to be completly honest here, the owner of this tire shop does not mess around when it comes to helping his customers. When i got a flat i looked on yelp and looked through at least 7 different tires shops and i came across this one, so i decided to give it a try since the reviews said they are cheap and man they werent kidding. I got 2 tires for my rear and the owner showed me my options, which ones are good and he took out the bad ones, recommended what was best for my car (2014 corolla S) and he said in his words "You are the one buying the tires, you have the right to know what we actually have in stock and which are not that good of a tire" i was amazed with the amount of kindness and perfect customer service he gave me. When i decided to buy the tires i wanted, he told me it would only take 30 mins and if i wanted to i can go to the coffee shop right behind. 30 mins later he was already done. I honestly couldnt of been happier with the purchase of tires, customer service and the priceing he gave me. I paid $150 for 2 that look ALMOST new something that you would get for only one at Big O' Tires or something. Let me start off by saying I wasn't really planning on going to Affordable Tires today. I have a discount tire shop that I use but for some reason they weren't answering their phone. I am thanking my lucky stars that they didn't today. The backstory... I have a 2012 Mazda 3 iTouring with stock Bridgestone Turanza EL400-02s on them. I have 40,000 miles on my car and, with a bad front alignment, you can imagine how tore up my front tires are. Last night while driving I heard a repeating thump coming from my front tire and to my dismay, I discovered a HUGE bolt in my tire. Thinking that since it was in the tread area I'd be fine with just a patch, I didn't sweat it too much. Well, you remember how I said my tires are stock and have 40,000 miles on them? Yeah, since they are worn on one of the shoulders no tire repair facility would actually touch them. Instead I was told I needed to replace my tire. I wasn't having that so I decided to look for a tire repair facility in North Fremont that would actually repair my tire just so I could get through a couple weeks until I could buy new ones. It was during this search that I discovered Affordable Tires right here on Yelp. After a brief phone call I made the drive in to the shop. I talked with the mechanic and he said he *could* repair my tire - for $30 - or he could replace it with a mostly new used tire for $50. After he confirmed that he had a good stock of P205/55 R16s in stock, I told him to hook it up. He went to the shelf to grab some tires for me to choose from and he came back a little disappointed that he couldn't find a matching pair (I had asked him to replace both front tires). As we were talking, however, the other mechanic heard our discussion and pointed out that he had taken in a Bridgestone recently. He had seen another Bridgestone on the floor that I was looking at and wanted to match brand. When he brought the tire down from the rack I was amazed to find that he did indeed match the tire that was on the floor AND both of THOSE tires matched what was on my car! A half hour and $100 laters I drove off with two almost brand new Bridgestone Turanza EL400-02s, mounted and balanced and installed. I couldn't be happier with the service, the candor and the speed in which my situation was dealt. I give Affordable Tires an A+ and I WILL be coming back. read more

Called the top 6 or so rated tire shops in Fremont for mounting/balancing/disposal and Mo was by far the cheapest, almost by half! He also explained and showed me the previous installer had all 4 of my tires on backwards yikes! No wonder why it rose poorly. Huge selection of used tires (and new) and this coming from someone whose own brother owns a Goodyear establishment (ssshhh don't tell him). I'd much rather support a local mom and pop shop then a big name brand. Just found my go-to tire shop in the East Bay, I have 5 vehicles and one or the other is in need of tires at some point. read more

Came here yesterday because had a flat, Muhammad stayed a little late helping me, he was going to sell me a used tire for $50 and then realized he could just patch it for $25 to save me some money which i appreciated. Next morning that same tire went flat again, apparently my rim was bent and caused a puncture, so not only did Muhammad fix my rim but he also put on the used tire and took the $25 off that I had paid the day before. My husband's review: This is the first 5-star I've given in all my reviews and I don't write too many. The guys at this place rock!! I needed one 255/40-17 tire and called a bunch of places using yelp. Only 1 place had it in stock but I wanted a used tire since it was going to be a spare;no need to spend a ton of dough on a tire sitting in the trunk. I was about to give up and just buy a new one but I figure I'd try one more place. I was leery of calling this place since they only had 1 review but I thought I'd give it a shot. I called them and the guy said they had a couple of the size I needed. It was right next to AAMCO and Dale Hardware in Fremont so it wasn't hard to find. I was greeted by Wais and told him I spoke to Muhammad. Both of them were pretty cool and easy to talk to which eased my worries. An elder lady was there getting a couple of tires and they were really nice to her; something I usually don't see at autoshops. Anyways, Wais let me pick the tire I wanted from their selection. I ended up getting a Potenza tire that had some pretty good tread life. Both of them were pretty funny and jovial. I was in and out in less than half an hour. Fortunately, when I searched for help, Affordable Tires was open until 5:30 on Saturday. I phoned them. They encouraged me to come on down without an appointment. I showed up, they diagnosed my tire in two minutes, fixed it in ten, and had me on the road again in fifteen minutes flat. I got good value for service that was capable, efficient, and friendly. Visited this place a month a go to get two tires replaced, since my car is old i did not feel like spending a lot for a car that will go out of service in couple of years. I've dealt with used tires before in new york, so i know what to look for and when sales person tries to cheat you. Experience: Owner is very friendly and honest guy. When i came over and mentioned i need to change 2 tires, he had a good one in the stock and while he had another tire of same brand/model - it had more usage and would not last as long. He advised me not to get, instead - come back next day and he will find another tire that has less wear. I was surprised to hear this and thought - lets give it a shot... in previous experience dealing with tire shops on east coast- they will just sell you whatever they have, here it was different. Came back next day, he found a second pair as promised. Installed and balanced 2 tires for $100 in record 30 minutes. I just got 2 new tires for my wife's car here. They did a great job. In fact, reminded me of why I wasn't so thrilled with the other place I *used* to use in Santa Clara. a) The other place forgot to tighten the lug nuts on one of the wheels of my Mustang a while back. Yes, the freakin' wheel came off while I was driving. Luckily it was a back wheel, didn't cause me to crash, the rolling tire/wheel down Montague Expressway didn't cause anyone else to have an accident, and it only took me 20 min to find it. :-) (It was off in the weeds on the other side of the road.) Yes, a funny story now, but I was really pissed. The guy was super nice about it, so I kept going there. But the last time I got tires for my wife's car there, they weren't balanced properly, and my wife had to go back. So Affordable Tires now has a new customer. They got the new tires and installed them over lunch, and they even cleaned the wheels and Armor All'ed all 4 tires, the 2 new ones, and the 2 old ones, I had moved to the other axle. Love this place. Very nice guys working there too! One more comment. It's a small place, so one of the things I checked was how old the tires were, that they put on the car. 24th week of 2018, so they were manufactured mid-June. Me likey. :-) One more! Because the last time, the tires weren't balanced correctly by the other place, I got close to triple digits mph driving back to work to check these out. Smooth as silk ... In May: Great experience here. I live in Santa Clara, but work in Fremont. Usually when I have tire issues, I use a place near where a live. But kinda hard to go back there for something I'd like to deal with during lunch time. So tried out this place for a nail or screw in my tire. Been back and fourth with New Park Sears for like 5 days waiting on tires to come in. Saturday, I called in and they sounded like they were surprised that I would expect the tires to be there (as they told me the day before). At that point I said f*** it I'll go somewhere else. I dropped a bad review for Sears and looked for another place to help me out. I talked to Wais, and I have to respect how straightforward the guy is. He allotted some extra time for me to come in and get my tires replaced. They told me to expect 30-45 minutes, but we're done in 20. I drove around afterward and the ride was great.
