Mixed reviews. What's the point of the appointment? Normally this shop was good. Friendly of course, however too friendly. Let me explain... What's the point of the appointment?? June 26, 2026 I called earlier this morning to see if I can come in at 5pm for a repair, nail in the tire. After work of course. The guy whom I spoke to, again friendly said he could help for sure but it would be better to make an appointment. I said I don't see the point of making an appointment since their team doesn't get to the people who have appointments on time. Had another experience for an 8am appointment and they didn't get to me for 40 minutes after Intaking people and talking for so long. He said that must have been a one off and they try to get everyone out in under an hour. I said I'll make the appointment but I don't want to wait 1.5 hrs for a repair. It's not fair to me to have to just wait. He makes an appointment at 4pm. 4pm rolls around, I'm there at 4:05pm. Traffic in Fremont is bad at that time. They didn't intake (see me) at my appoint until 4:45......... Then they look at my tires goes and talks to their team who says it'll be ready at 5:45pm. AGAIN!!!!! WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE APPOINTMENT IF YOUR NOT GOING TO HONOR THE APPOINTMENT!!!! Anyways....what their team needs to do is stop allowing customers to stand there looking at each tire on the website deciding which one they want. I came to this location because my tire pressure light came on while I was driving to work, and I wasn't sure whether I just needed air or had a flat tire. The location was very busy, so I went to the front desk and was told to go to the air-check area first. I asked if they could put my name on the waitlist since the line was so long, but the employee told me the air check would only take about three minutes and that the wait wouldn't be bad. I pulled up to the air-check area and was the second car in line. A technician then told me that air checks were the front desk's responsibility. After waiting another 20 minutes, the same front desk employee came outside and told me I was in the wrong spot and would now have to go to the back of the line. When I pushed back and explained that I had followed his instructions, he refused to help me, saying he couldn't because I was in the wrong spot. The frustrating part is that he was the person who told me where to go in the first place and never explained that I needed to be somewhere else. The owner of this location really needs to reassess the customer service at the front desk. I've always had great experiences with America's Tire, so this was extremely disappointing. I ended up leaving without receiving any help and drove to the Livermore location, where I was helped wonderfully. I highly recommend the Livermore location, but I would avoid this location at all costs. read more

I had a 50 min lunch break at work today. The low tire pressure signal showed up on my dashboard so I decided to come to the UC location America's Tire. There was no attendant at the air check station. I waited a few minutes. Then I called (no one picked up) and finally I went inside. I caught the attention of one of the employees and informed him that I was waiting to get air for my tires. He said he would get an attendant and I confirmed that I should go back to my car. I wait in my car and no one shows up. I decide to now go to the Fremont location on Beacon. Normally, there is an attendant to check the air in your tires. I drive there. An employee acknowledges I am there. Another employee says someone will be out. I waited at least 13-15 minutes before I realized--I need to go back to work! All in all--I spent 25 minutes driving around to two different locations. I sat in my car waiting and did not get any air in my tires. I drove back to work with the signal still on my dashboard. Very disappointing experiencing at both locations but especially Union City. read more

I really loved coming to America's Tire for the ease and efficiency of getting my tires rotated. It was time to change out my tires and I had a less than stellar experience. I asked for specific tires 2 times, but the associate was adamant telling me that another set of tires were better and what I wanted. I would understand if the tires I wanted weren't compatible but it felt like pulling teeth trying to get the tires I wanted (Hankook iON EVO for my M3) so I just relented and got the Good Year tires that I didn't want. The sales associate just gave me the total and I checked out, but while sitting there waiting for my car, I thought it was strange how high the costs were so I wanted to check an itemized receipt. When I asked for a receipt, he stated that I couldn't get it until service has been completed. I then looked online to see how much the price should be and it looks like the associate auto added a warranty that would be ~20% additional without even asking me if I wanted it. That's so shady and a horrible business practice. When optional services or fees are added without asking you if you want it and not giving you a receipt when you directly ask for it, it feels so scammy and you lose any loyalty you had towards the business. I ended up asking the guy if he added warranty protection to my tires (couldn't confirm since I didn't have the receipt) and he said yes. I told him I didn't want that and asked if it could be removed. After trying to convince me to keep it, he did end up refunding the protection. These tires are so much less efficient than the Hankook tires I originally had and wanted that every time I make the trip to Sacramento to visit my family, I need to stop to charge to make it home now. I was able to make the roundtrip without charging before. Now, I'm going to be reminded of this experience every month until it's time for my next tire replacement. In the end, I know it's my fault and I should've just doubled down on what I wanted but I hate confrontation. Hoping other people have a better experience when getting new tires here. read more

Omg this is probably my favorite America's Tire location. I've been getting my tires with America's Tire since I started driving, for like 10 years now. The staff at this particular location are so friendly and competent. After checking my tires, they noticed tire rot on one of my tires and walked me through different options, super candid and honest with what I can do. I think the associate that helped me today was Izzy and his manager. He told me the years of the tires (2023s, 2024, and 2019) and levels (8, 8, 7, 6), reasons why only one of the tires might've shown tire rot. He even offered to get a second option from someone more experienced but I trusted his judgment! Ultimately decided to change out the tire with the dry rot since it was pretty bad, and I really enjoyed my experience here! read more

Came in on 6/25/26 with an appointment. Was told that my tire light came on due to a nail that was repairable and that they would work on it and to come back later. I waited 2.5 hours just for them to tell me they can't repair it?! I asked what changed and the mechanic looked stunned and said "oh umm uhh miscommunication". The guy at the front desk was so eager to sell me a new tire and all of a sudden they can do that with speed and lightening, huh?! I declined at that moment as something didn't feel right and I was also pressed for time having wasted 2.5 hours already just to be told they can't repair it. I take my car to Toyota and within 20 min they were able to take me in no appointment needed and pulled out a piece of metal that was causing the low tire pressure light to come on. They didn't have to patch or repair anything because there was nothing to be repaired. They simply pulled this piece of metal out and did a water dunk test to make sure there were no leaks which there wasn't. No nail and easy quick fix that Americas tire couldn't do for me. Always follow your gut instinct because at the end of the day America's tire is there to make money off you that's why they push so hard to sell those tires. Thank god I took my car to Toyota. From now on I'll be going there as their mechanics and employees have more expertise and better service. read more

Came in this morning to get two new front tires. After one of my current ones started to cord. The customer service was amazing. It has really improved over the years from what it was 10 years ago. Today's staff was great. From the person who checked me in to the virtual cue, to the person who gave me my car back. Special shout outs to Raul, who helped with my car, and the female employee helping others with their orders. The care and support she gave each customer was so great to see and hear. Raul was great with me. Kept it genuine and sincere. Helped me get the right option and save some money as well. read more

Got a brand new set of tires after a puncture. The Line in the store definitely could be a little more organized but Craig made the experience better! Was able to get rescheduled and try my tire swapped within an hour! Would recommend Craig and his excellent service. Updated to 4: had to wait 30-40 minutes to pickup my vehicle since there was a line out the door. Ended up just grabbing my own red folder and walking out since they don't have a person doing pickups and each consultation takes 8-10 minutes. read more

BOOK AN APPOINTMENT ONLINE FIRST unless you want to wait 2+ hours. They will send you a confirmation text the day before. When you get there for your appointment, check in with the link that they send you; park your car and go inside to talk to an associate. This place is busy during all hours so follow their processes. A very polite blonde woman was able to help me with my leaking tire. She didn't see anything upon initial inspection but she explained the tests that they'll run. They will try and repair it first; if it isn't repairable, there is an option to purchase new tires or leave it as is. I picked the former after getting a reasonable quote for $260 to replace 2 rear tires. I got my service slip with an estimated wait time of one hour so I sat down and waited in the lobby. 35 or so minutes later, they called my name and said they were finished servicing my car. Turns out there was a nail in the tire; they had it removed, scrubbed, patched, and cleaned. The best part - they did this all for free! The entire process took about an hour which was very reasonable considering just how busy they were. I am extremely pleased and happy with the service and experience I had at America's Tire. Book your appointment ASAP because their time slots fill up fast and you could wait up to 2 weeks until you get one. If you do a walk-in, it's best to drop your car off unless you are okay waiting 2+ hours. read more

Yo there is something clearly different about this place. I went on a Saturday morning 4/25/26 and the energy and friendliness of the staff was off the charts, beyond chik-fi-la status, dare I say Japanese service level. It's really rare to see this kind of warmth in the bay and I was just blown away. Whoever is managing this place is doing something different and I wanted to call this out. Same day tire repair was easy. Cost a little more than my usual tire place but friendly staff and efficient service made up for it.

I had a low tire pressure on my car and inspected the tires myself by adding air etc. I did notice that one my valves was broken so I went to American Tire in Fremont and was under the impression that they would just simply replace the valve on the front tire. The guy at the front desk inspected my car and insisted I needed new tires instead of replacing the valve of my tire that I came in for. I understand that I might needed new tires but I was only at 55k miles and they were not in that bad of a shape. I am getting the impression that he simply did not care and just wanted to make a sale and sell my 4 new tires. This is simply NOT OK. I left the car and went back to work. When I came back to pick up the car and asked if they also did an alignment and he told me they do not do this here. I never in my life been to a tire place where you get talked into buying 4 new tires and there is no alignment included. He said to go to Union City for that !!!!!! Unbelievable that you do not offer alignments with tire purchases. So now I have to go out of my way and find another mechanic and pay even more ?? !!! I asked if there was a discount on 4 tires and he said no. How do you not have a discount on a holiday weekend ? I also checked the PSI on my tires and none of them were correct. One of as low as 29 and another was as high as 42. Unacceptable, this should be part of your job when replacing tires. At this point I can only hope they balanced the tires and mounted them to my car correctly. Front desk is very disorganized, and they had music blasting in the shop which seemed unprofessional. I also could not find my car at pickup time, and they made me walk aimlessly around their building and parking structure until I went back to the front desk and ask for a second time. SMH. Very amateur and irresponsible staff. I've had to make second visits for all my services because either the tire is losing air after replacement or the car is still shaking after balancing. I always request my car to be air checked to the OEM spec at normal load. For my cars, they are located at the gas tank and I always tell them psi I want. It seems to get ignored every single time. Today, I went back because one of my tires lost 8 psi after it was replaced and the explanation I got made no sense. I've been going here for over 10 years and this is the first time I felt like a fool coming here. This location really needs work. Go somewhere else. read more

Service was quick. I was quoted about 2 hours. Service was done in about 45 mins. Staff is friendly, professional, quick, knowledgeable. Seems to work as a team. I've been coming for years- they seem to have a great inventory for newer and older cars. Price: not the cheapest. $214.74 for two tires, rotation, service for a 1997 Camry. Who came up with this check in system? They do this phone check in queue to LOOK at your car. In other words you have to wait in line to wait in line. Why not just do the check in when people show up? I have two flat tires and could be heading back home while they spend hours working on it. But noooooooo! I gotta stand here waiting to wait. American Tire staff are friendly and honest. My car's tire and wheel had a curb damage. There's part of rubber peeled off from the tire's side. Knowing businesses are profit first, I was expecting them to ask me to replace tire whenever they get a chance. I was surprised when the staff Holly reviewed the damage and told me it's cosmetic and no need to replace the tire! She told me that's their guidance, only ask customers to replace tire only when needed. What a honest business! I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the ongoing decline in service quality at the Fremont, CA location. I have been a loyal customer for over 30 years, and I am disheartened by how significantly the experience has deteriorated. Over the past several visits, I have encountered a series of troubling issues: * Excessively loud music playing inside the shop, making it impossible to conduct a phone call without stepping outside * Lost wheel lock keys * Lug nuts that were not properly torqued after service * Wheel weights that repeatedly failed to stay in place During my most recent scheduled tire rotation, the attendant informed me that a lump had been found on the inside of the front passenger tire that I could not see and that the service could not be completed. I understand that safety must come first, but given that tire rotation is a service I prepaid for at the time of my tire purchase, I am concerned that I was offered only a new tire sale with no further resolution or explanation. I must be candid: as a 79-year-old customer, I felt that this situation was handled in a way that did not prioritize my best interests. This is not the standard of service I have come to expect from America's Tire over the past three decades. This happened literally 45 mins ago, so I'm writing this while it's fresh on my mind. I've been coming to this store for almost half a decade, and I've never experienced this before. This store opened at 8:00am and I arrived at around 8:15am. There were only two other customers besides me in there, and I only saw three cars parked outside, so they didn't appeared to be busy. I was checked-in by someone named Raul. I told him I don't have an appointment, and he said they don't accept walk-ins and that they are busy which was odd because I've shown up to the same store without appointment at much busier times. When pressed further, he said I can drop it off but it won't be done until 3:00pm. I then called the Union City store and they said they accept walk-ins, so I headed over there. Union City store has far more customers than the Fremont one, yet they checked me in without any issue and told me it would be done within an hour and half. My girlfriend then called Fremont store, and the call was picked up by Raul. She asked him if they accept walk-ins and how long it would take. He told her they do and they can get her out in 90 mins. Bare in my that she called him literally 15-20 mins after my interaction with him. During my interaction with Raul, I wasn't rude nor did I behave in any way that was out of ordinary. So I can't help but think it was the way I looked, that led him to treat me the way he did. I'm very disappointed that this was my experience. read more

I was driving on the freeway when suddenly the low tire pressure warning light came on my dashboard. Not knowing the issue, I drove to America's Tire. I walked into the lobby and was the second in line but was assisted immediately. They came out to my car and quickly determined I had a nail embedded in the tire causing the leak. They fixed the tire and air pressure at no cost. The process was fast, the staff was professional. My car was on the road in half an hour. I will definitely be back for all my tire needs! read more

Received a call from Cody store manager, discussed the previous store visit and asked me to come in and he would inspect my tire and if no replacement is necessary, then at least rotate and balance tire. Cody was very disappointed with the interaction from his employee and apologized for that. Cody inspected tire and said he will replace tire and rotate tires, waived the fee for new warranty and was very professional and kind . America's Tire always provides good service when I need it and today they really went above and beyond. I was a walk in because of a nail that completely took out one of my tires when I was in the Fremont area with my family. The wait would've been 90 minutes or so typically but Karanvir noticed that I had my baby daughter with me and it was a warm day so he worked hard to get me out in under 30 minutes. Went in for a repair on my tire the black short guy at the desk denied the repair because I had already been there once for a free service last year. He said my tire wasn't fixable which was not true. He insisted on me buying a tire that he didn't even have in stock which is so stupid because it was an emergency. So I called this Beacon (Fremont) branch directly and they were able to take me in right away. I did not have to wait long until a service person came to help me. He was very knowledgeable about what he's doing. I ended up having to get four new tires. I was given an estimated time of 30 minutes and it was completed within 30 minutes. Came in on a very busy Friday after thanksgiving; turns out the tire pressure sensors needed to be replaced. Cost about $400, but I learned that this is about half of what another place charged my uncle for the same repair. We were given a 2.5 hour wait time and it was done on time. They also check your tire pressure, and add air, for free. read more

WTF!!!I brought my Tesla to get a tire rotation. There was a Telsa ahead of me and noticed that they were not using pucks!!! What the puck!!! Read online that pucks are needed. The guys said that they don't use pucks because they are not neccesary. Full of crap!!! I needed the rotation so I did it, but told them that if anything happens, I'm suing. read more

Went to Fremont & not only were the extremely friendly but they had me out of there in 20 minutes with a new tire. With plenty of time to make my 3:00 appt. Totally amazing customer service. I had the great pleasure of having a gentleman named Cody (manager) help me...he had respect, integrity and compassion in his hospitality and had the knowledge to deliver with an excellence that I've never experienced before...He treated me like I was driving his car, only offering the highest service and high quality products fthat were appropriate for my vehicle...he then went above and beyond explaining that America's Tire believes in following through ...Quite honestly I know that this fine establishment delivers a punch in the industry...but I will only go to tje Fremont location...because of Cody and his team...there simply is not better when it comes to people with the right respect and motivation...to give the best to the rest... I propose that America's Tire recognize Cody with a promotion...give him a pay raise..if you don't somebody else will....maybe even send him on an all expense paid trip!! You have the responsibilty to keep his mental..physical and emotional health in premium condition...so that he can offer your clients that experience that will make them loyal and have them coming back for years...if you give Cody thr best....he will deliver it to the rest!! read more
