I purchased a tractor from True Value Trailers in Penrose , CO in December 2024 that was delivered…read morein January, 2025. Everything was going well through the purchase phase. After that not so well. I live in New Mexico and could not find the tractor I wanted here so that is why I went through True Value. They seemed to have good ratings. I had some specific questions about the tractor which at first they answered. One being since they were filling the rear tires with the Rim Guard solution, I had concerns about rubber valve stems. There have been issues with Rim Guard about deteriating the adhesive on the rubber valve stems and then starting to leak. I called Rim Guard about this and they confirmed this and that the tires should have brass valve stems due to this issue. Chris, the person I dealt with through out the purchase process assured me that they use metal/brass valve stems. When I received the tractor I noticed one rear tire had a brass one and one had a rubber one. I emailed Chris to let him know and sent him pics. I received no response at all. Attached are the pics. All I wanted to know is what I have to do to correct this. The only time he would respond was if I had something good to note. One being that when the tractor arrived and I used it for an hour or so I noticed the hydraulics were leaking. I let him know this and he felt if was just residual from them installing a 3rd function. I found out the leak wasn't coming from the 3rd function lines. The hydraulic lines to the loader needed tightening. I let Chris know that I had tightened the lines and thought I stopped the leaks. His response was "great". Now to the next issue: I wanted to add a better tie down point to the tractor. I found an item online that bolted to the front frame. I just had to remove 6 bolts and install it where the brush guard is bolted to the frame. When I started removing the bolts, it was very difficult to get 4 of the 6 out. When the brush guard was installed they used SAE bolts instead of the M14 1.5 metric bolts. The SAE bolts have courser threads that pretty much stripped out the threads. See bolt pics. Also attached is a picture of the two bolts that were correct. Luckily I could chase the threads with the proper tap and everything went together fine but I shouldn't have to do this. I feel their assembly crew needs some supervision and training. I like the tractorI and have 7 hours on it now and am not sure what I will find in the future. True Value Trailers has a 5 Paw rating from Kioti. Chris said it took them two years to get this rating. I feel Kioti should be doing some audits. It seems like once you get past the sales part, everything else falls on deaf ears. I think they are probably a good dealership but lack a little in quality control.
