I personally have a great strong like for affordable treasures in Bellflower. I enjoy the variety I enjoy the old s school atmosphere and the pricing is really good. They don't have a ton of clothes but if your looking to do some knick knacking and some digging you never k now what you can score. You can find vintage board games, furniture, trucker hats and some great kitchen gadgets! They are rude don't make eye contact and just not very helpful but correct you on what you can and Can not drop off. I'm never dropping stuff here again I wish lakewood had a good will. They have a great variety of clothes but the truth is that the workers are very unpleasant. They seem to look down on Latinos and it's uncomfortable when having to pay, they don't smile and hesitate to greet or say goodbye. I am beyond disappointed in this company. At 445 I called them to ask if they were open and what time do they stop taking donations. They lady on the phone said 6 today. So I loaded up my truck and ran over there. Went inside to ask where to put the stuff. The lady inside said "we stop taking donations at 5." I was like I just called and you said 6! Mind you it was 5:02. 2 minutes after they closed!!!! I will not go back!! read more

I decided to check out some Baby clothes since they had signs posted out front that items 5.95 and under were 99 cents. A lot of the stuff was priced at 6.95. I'm so disappointed this store is under new management. It used to have a warm and cozy vibe to it and merchandise was PACKED into the store, but nicely enough so that you never felt like you were dumpster diving. Now it has an almost echo-like feeling because it is so spaced out and overly bright, white and sterile. But, more importantly, they've raised prices and no longer offer those killer daily sales. Their ridiculous new gimmick is to give you a coupon for a date the following week for 50% off ONE item. Why would you return in less than a week for a discount on just one item?! I'm not sure if prices have gone up but I strongly disagree with the other reviews when it comes down to affordability. I went looking for christmas sweaters for an ugly christmas party and I found some ridiculously over priced items. They had turtlenecks that look dirty, faded and visibly used that were priced at $9. I know it is a thrift store and things are obviously used but really a $9 non name brand turtleneck that is in that bad of condition should not be priced at $9 when it was probably $5 brand new. Everything at this store was overpriced I could not find anything that was reasonably priced. The sweaters I seen were $20 very expensive. read more

I love this place. They always seem to have JUST the thing I am looking for! The jewlery section is my favorite! I love the little rooms and craft section. I have found some real DRESS gems here and with 60% off the original tag, it's a STEAL. While the price tags seem unfriendly...you have to remember that depending on the day it's 60 or 50 or 40% off. That alone is so much better than the one price 7.99 or 8.99 dresses at GOODWILL. These dresses are all individually priced. It is a bit untidy as Carmen has said, but if your like me... the thrill is in the HUNT! My boyfriend and I spend at least an hour in here each time we go and we are more than amazed at what we find. I have found 70's vtg peasant gunne sax dresses for 6.00, vintage lockets for 2.00, vintage caftans for 4.00 and leather belts for 2.00. if you make a trip out and they don't have a whole lot to pick from, it's probably cuz i was there first! Way better prices than the large chain thrift stores and with way more finds! Unlike those chains where there's a lot of moderately priced everyday used stuff, Affordable Treasures has lots of VERY inexpensive stuff with GEMS buried within. Great quality cookware/utensils/kitchen stuff- like reasonably priced cast iron, ramekins, really useful stuff that's made to last. All the photo frames are dented and scratched so don't bother. There's furniture, though climbing through the furniture room can be tricky and most of it is cheesy, even for me. Today all the winter coats are $5 and I found two really cute vintage jackets. Also a Free People sweater, new (it's so fragile it would show signs of wear) for $5. they are frequently having 50% off everything, as well as other promotions. The only star I deducted was for the service, which is hit or miss. Granted, these are volunteers, but some of them are so cranky it seems like they are bothered by me shopping there, and paranoid I'm going to steal. I just came home with a big bag and already can't wait to go back! read more

This is definitely an INTERESTING thrift store, to say the least. I am a thrift store-aholic and visit many stores in the area. The knick-knacks here are poorly organized here and the place needs a really good "spring cleaning" to get rid of junk no one wants to buy. BUT, the clothes are pretty neatly organized and reasonably priced, when you consider the on-going sales. I also found a few little gems in the clothes racks. I ended up buying a Rusty beach cover up in like-new condition for $3. Not bad, but I'm not sure it's worth the drive and the searching....I will MAYBE be back in the future. read more

Really cute store. They have nice clothes but you really have to look for them. Can get pricy if you get a lot of stuff but if you just get a few items you should be fine. I like getting a lot of my vintage clothes there and the way I see it is that even if a dress is $5-$10 I would rather pay that then $25 or more at a Forever 21. I like this place, but my mom LOVES it. They have great deals on clothes and small appliances every day. But they also have awesome sales such as the .99 cent sale that ran this week (11/16-18/09) on several items and 50% off everything else. Every month they also have a 20 piece for $5.50 sale. Just about any day of the month, some promotion is running so you can't loose. The staff is very personable and they keep the store very tidy. If you are a frequent shopper like we are, you will get a punch card that will be punched for every $5 you spend. After all 10 slots are punched, you get $5 off your next purchase. One day my mom was there for the 20 pieces for $5.50 sale and she had a completed punch card. She got her entire purchase for .50 cents. Now you really can't beat a deal like that. :-) read more
