Nice place to visit . I go when in town . One lady with glasses is not so friendly. She usually does register. Kinda hit and miss . Once I bought a dress that I guess she missed wondered how I was able to get. Said it was her style. Couple other times I went tried to charge me more for items. The items were priced. I brought that to her attention. Last time I was in I believe I wasn't charged correctly. I had asked for a receipt she replied we don't provide them. I thought I saw some mold on something I bought I was looking at it and mentioned it. She grabbed it rang me up. When I arrived home indeed the item had mold . I was disappointed. Not only to know I guess when you work here you get priority to purchase items and about the attitude of the worker . It hasn't been just once. Everyone else is super sweet . Kinda disappointed. All I can say is that a simple "hello" when you walk into a store can make the customer feel welcome or unwelcome. When I walked into the store, the two employees at the front didn't even look up or acknowledge me. This is my first time going to this thrift shop, and as a Los Al resident, I was excited to find a thrift shop close to home. However, I didn't know that debit card transactions needed to have a $10 minimum and so when I brought up my items to buy and they didn't equal $10 the lady just gruffly said no and was rather rude when telling me to go find more things to buy. I really love their mission statement and what they are doing for the community, but it seems like their customer service doesn't match their mission statement. I'll definitely go back again and give it a second try, but I hope your employees realize the power of SIMPLE kindness. read more

I donated here again after a bad experience years ago. I was amazed that the person accepting the donations was even more hostile than last time. It was 9:45am, the gate was open, and 2 men were walking around, moving stuff. I unloaded my car, asked an older man if "here was ok" to leave my donation, he said yes. The other guy walked past me and yelled "donations are 10-2." Then he yelled at the old man to put the sign up. The stuff they sell comes from donations from the public. NEVER AGAIN, there are other places that will be grateful to have free stuff. read more

If you have ADA issues and want to donate -- go somewhere else. I was made to park on the street because I was "blocking the sidewalk" (just like the person with the pickup truck who was allowed). Ruiz (I think was his name) was fine watching me with my cane bring 10+ items to the drop-off area. It was really my fault for continuing. Recently I've been clearing out items that I don't need; and I've been donating them to this local thrift store. All for a good cause. I like that they also accept holiday/seasonal decor at all times unlike some other thrift stores. I also enjoy coming in here to buy books & vinyl records & vintage accessories. I hate to give bad reviews to this small business but I have my reasons. The quality is either good or bad; some of the antiques are not well kept and the employees are nice tot he children but not to the adults shopping calmly. Me and my friend the went there 4 weeks ago bought a shirt for $10 and didn't come home with it so that is just stealing money for something THAT WE PAYED FOR and not receiving it in the trash bag given. I thrift a lot. First time here. I appreciate their mission but this place needs help. They have so much clothing that it's nearly impossible to browse. Purses hanging on a wall that you can't get to. Nothing spectacular in women's clothes tho prices seem ok. But most was outdated and dingy. I didn't check baby/child clothing which I believe any thrift store shouldn't charge over a dollar. They get so many donations and why not help those babies you're saving! Housewares and toys both overpriced. Staff was friendly but seems like they could do with less. This place is in desperate need of downsizing and making space for shoppers. read more

Went to check on what they accept for donations. Limited parking on the street and a couple of spaces on the end for drop off of donations. They accept almost everything except furniture and other large items. The majority of their things is clothing, mens, women's and kids. They also have books, jewelry and Knick knacks. Fairly well organized but they need more room. It is worth a visit. read more

Very disappointed with this thrift store. The building itself was cute and looked inviting. Once inside, there was hardly anything inside the store and everything was way overpriced! Stuffed animals, $5. Toys, $4. Used up purses, $20. There was nothing worth even purchasing in here. The few cabinets they had with supposedly "better" or "higher quality" merchandise was nothing good. Vintage cabbage patch kids dolls - locked up? Precious moments figurines (just regular ones, not Disney or holiday collabs) also locked up. Everyone knows you can't easily resell cabbage patch kids or precious moments....why is this store locking them up?!?! The clothing aisles were so crammed together, you couldn't even walk through the aisle without clothing hitting you in the face. There is little to no parking - you just have to get lucky that there is a parking spot somewhere on the street. Nobody even acknowledged our existence when we were browsing the store, and we will not be back! read more

I loved going to this thrift shop except today I heard very unpleasant things coming from her as well as political statements between her and others. They were very disturbing including how she (the worker) mentioned how she was surprised Newsom and pelosi haven't been shot or assassinated. This is my favorite thrift store but I don't want to tell you about it because it's my hidden gem, and it's mine, and I don't want you to buy all my treasures! So don't go okay? Just Kidding! I have found some really nice stuff here. I have found many a dresses from here that I have gotten shortened to fit my short stature, that might have belonged to some old lady, who died, whose family then donated the clothes to this thrift store, therefore making me the beneficiary reaper of benefits to old dresses. Well, at least that's how I like to think about it. *wink The ladies who run this place are so sweet, and friendly. Not sure if they are volunteers, but they are definitely happy working here because it shows. The shop is cozy, because it is an actual house. They have all sorts of knick knacks, jewerly, kitchen stuff, shoes, baby clothes, belts, old VHS movies, plenty of parking, etc, oh man, I just love this place! I pass this place all the time so I decided to go in. My cousin was with me and I had my 9 month old son in a small umbrella stroller. Hes 21 pounds and crawling and I wanted to really look around so I thought that was best. When you walk up to the place there are toys for sale in the front yard that are sun faded, a bunch of cardboard, and a big piece of cardboard on the door that has NO PUBLIC BATHROOM written in sharpie. I was ify but we decided to go in anyway. Literally about 5 racks of clothes, about 10 pairs of shoes and an abundance of costume jewelry is all they had. We then noticed a lot of holiday decor so we looked around that stuff but didnt find anything. Mind you no one greeted us and the store wasnt busy. We were there for maybe 10 minutes and as we get to the door to leave the lady in front says (while eating a sandwich) "Turn around and read that sign before you come in next time." We turn around and see a sign taped to the side of a bookcase that says NO STROLLERS. First, Why wouldnt you post that on the outside BEFORE customers come in? Second, where would you like me to put my baby while I browse? And last, after being that rude and unprofessional you dont have to worry about me coming back to look at your 20 items lady! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. read more

I feel bad giving a low rating to a charity store. But I'd feel worse lying... I came here the other day after getting my blood drawn. (The laboratory is right across the street.) I had something in mind - I was planning on sending a photo to my aunt for Christmas, and I needed a pretty frame. Most of the frames were simple, cheap wood or metal. Most were in bad shape - tarnished silver or just in otherwise sorry condition. They were all marked $3 up. Now I don't mind paying a little extra when it's for a good cause, so when I found a small (maybe 3.5 x 3.5) beaded square frame, akin to what you might find at Home Goods for $5... And I was prepared to pay a good five dollars for it, even though it was not new. It was ten. I even double checked with the lady at the cash register. Ten dollars! For a tiny, used picture frame! Albeit it was pretty, and looked in better condition than the others, but still... Ridiculous! I ended up giving the lady five bucks donation for Precious Life anyway... because I wanted to support the charity. But I doubt I'll be returning to the shop anytime soon. read more

Although this place is organized pretty well and has an alright selection, I received especially terrible customer service. I tried to pay with a card that didn't have enough money on it, which shouldn't be made into a big deal, but the woman ringing me up kept reiterating that i ~DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY~ over and over again (and very loudly). I've worked retail, and when someone is short money you don't make a big deal about it! She was confused about what the machine was doing- so I didn't even trust her on whether or not she charged me. I should have canceled my purchase at that point, because the cashier handled the situation completely gracelessly and I will not be returning. read more

This is an awesome thrift store. It's clean, organized, and has a feel more of an antique store than a thrift store. Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly, and there is a large selection of merchandise to browse through. The proceeds from the store provide support & services for homeless adult pregnant women. Every 2nd Saturday of the month, the shop has a huge sale so it may be worth a visit then. read more

I was in today for my first time to donate some clothing and since I had never been in before I went straight to the checkout to ask where to donate. The lady at the front was not warm but not everyone is naturally so I was fine with it. I wanted to ask a few more questions because I had a lot of different types of items to donate and wanted to make sure they were even accepted there before just giving them a bunch of stuff they can't even utilize. She proceeded to tell me everything accepted but not in an informative way, in a very rude, selective, picky and honestly uncomfortable way. I asked about lotions/soaps/shampoos (never been opened) because I know a lot of donation places do not accept these and she said like ones from a hotel? And I said no, more like gift sets I received that I can't use because of my skin type etc. She was rude again and said "we don't accept stolen things", I was so confused, she said again "we don't accept stolen things from hotels either", still confused I communicated to her again "no nothing I planned on donating was stolen and they were mostly things gifted to me but I never ended up using". It was so UNCOMFORTABLE!!! I drove thirty minutes out of my way of the normal place I donate to because I have tons of unused maternity clothes (most with tags still on), blankets, baby clothes (gently used and unused), mom and baby soap sets, etc. and felt this would be the best place for them to actually be used without women in need being charged an arm and a leg. I was so disappointed when I was finished talking to her that my husband (who heard the whole conversation and was shocked at both of the women I was talking to's behavior and attitude), 1.5 yr old daughter and I just left with out donating our entire trunk full of things. The inappropriate, non thankful, stuck up attitude of the staff was so unbearable that I let it influence whether I donate to this place for women and babies in need. So sickening and sad. I am super bummed because all I wanted to do was help. read more

Great location. Lots of parking. I stopped by one day and caught the end of their Saturday yard sale. Didn't find much, but I will definitely try it again. I appreciate that everything was well in order. I can NOT stand walking inside of a store and seeing trash or clutter from the get go. It was my first time at this thrift and it will be my last. The first thing I noticed is how rude the older red headed employee was. A gentleman asked if if everything was the same price on a rack, she responded by saying with attitude " I don't know! people put things everywhere where it's not supposed to be" then when checking out she started to argue loudly with an older gentleman that his sweater was more money because it was considered winter wear. He was short a $1 & asked if they could hold it or could he come back with the $1,this "charity" store refused. Those of us in line were now looking for cash to give him but he left before we could offer to pay. The next customer was purchasing a purse that was in the outside bin. The same employee tells her is doesn't have a price so she can't sell it. The customer then tells her that none of the purses outside have prices & she yells back saying yes they do! This is when the other older blonde employee says that they in fact don't have prices. The red head gives a price & the customer asks if all the purses are that price & she rolls her eyes back at her.During our purchase they both decided to talk bad about a coworker,they didn't even notice that everyone in line was talking about everything that just went down. I hope these woman don't work in the shelter portion as well, I could only imagine how bad they treat & talk to them if they do. read more

This is the best of the local thrift stores for quality, and it has become my favorite local charity. They are very selective in what they put out in the store since it used to be an old house and they have very limited space. You can find great deals on designer things most days. They do specials one Saturday a month and then as inventory gets really full. It is a volunteer run shop and all the proceeds go to support the shelter for unwed teenage mothers, that have no where else to go, next door. They support the moms while they finish school, they provide daycare, they give the girls the opportunity to learn parenting skills, and more. They have even have photos and updates of all the moms and babies (some are now grown) that the store has helped over the years. I never question any of the quotes for prices as a result. read more
