    Chicken shami kabob

I got the chicken Shami kabob and it was tasty but a little on the dry side. The rice was tasty and the side sauce helped and I got the extra white sauce so it all made it better.

Bolani and borani (eggplant, pumpkin, potatoes)! Get all these dishes! Afghan food is one of my favorites and I love the vegetarian options here. I did try the beef kabob, but preferred the vegetarian dishes given the amount and how good it is. The length of time you wait for your food varies, so bring a friend to chit chat with just in case! Bolani: awesome amount of food and I like to dip in a mixture of the sauces that they provide (I think the green one with the yogurt sauce is my favorite combo) Borani ___: all are good! I recommend you try them all to see which is your favorite

Pakaura's was perfect and yummy with a garlic chutney and also tried the cilantro chutney.

First time trying Afghan food. And it was delicious! We tried the Pakaura which was fried to perfection. And served with cilantro chutney. Not spicy. I had the chicken kabob and my friend had the lamb kabob. Restaurant was clean and service was great. Clean restroom!

Definitely do not recommend! I came here with two kids and spouse and the food took forever. It made me feel a type of way because when people who came in after us ordered their food came out fast. My son wasn't even offered any water. I will say my families food took about 45-50 minutes for two dishes and the other tables ordered and got their food within 10 minutes. My beef was super chewy and I felt like my teeth was going to fall off from attempting to bite it. I can probably bounce it off the walls. The rice was good no complaints there. So disappointing the lamb looked so good in everyone else's photo but when my husband got his it was like 3 pieces with no meat on it. I'm not sure if they are racist or something but I won't be coming here again.

This has been one of the best hidden spots I have ever eaten at, I have had some Afghani food in the past but nothing like this. I never liked eggplant but having it here changed my mind. Not one dish was bad. They brought out the food fast. I went with some colleague's from work and we asked if they did catering so we can get it at work.

Exceptional food. We tried the lentil chicken and Shami kabab. Both were excellent. Service was also fantastic. We will be back.

We shared a bunch of appetizers: bolani, burta, and the mushroom qorma. Burta was my fav but every single dish was so flavorful. For my mains, I got the murgh kebab.. the chicken was so tender and well-marinated but the flavored rice stole the show for me. Also the place feels super authentic, cozy, warm, not trying too hard, just real. And the owner was hilarious, so witty, and made the whole experience feel extra special. You can tell he cares and it shows. Now the saddest part: I just found out this restaurant has been around for decades and is closing forever soon. Truly heartbreaking! I really wish I'd discovered it sooner. If you've been meaning to go, don't wait. This spot is a gem and def deserves a visit before it's gone. FYI, it closes on Jan 3rd 2026!

This was my first time trying Afghan food so I was excited to see what the cuisine offers. We got the combination kebab for 2 (2 red meats - lamb and beef, $100) which is basically a full set course menu and a fish qorma as another entree as there was 3 of us. The combination kebab is definitely more than enough food for 2, as the 3 of us shared that plus one entree and we were all stuffed. Ash - traditional noodle soup with kidney beans and chickpeas. I like the salty and slightly tangy aspect of the soup and it definitely whet my appetite for what is to come. Badenjan Borani - eggplant. I don't like eggplant but found the taste of this to be delicious. It is a bit on the mushier side for my liking though Fish qorma - fish was cooked nicely in a tomato based sauce Seekh kebab - beef. I didn't really like this one as much since the meat was tough but the flavor was great. Bara kebab - lamb. I love this one as it was juicier and more flavorful Kabuli palaw - the rice dish that comes with the kebab. I love this - it's like jeweled rice from Iranian and Persian cuisine, which offers carbs and a bit of sweetness to it. Pairs excellently with the dishes Firni - cardamom, pistachio, rosewater pudding. Classic Afghan dessert. Quite sweet but refreshing at the same time. Love it Dogh - an interesting salty drink made with yogurt, fresh mint, and salt. It felt like I was drinking sauce but more palatable. Service is good as dishes were taken out in good cadence and food came out at a decent pace.

Cold meat average rice was so cold and old too. As if the rice was day old. Saturday evening and just one more family along with us :( Anyways, the place is extremely huge and has a nice ambiance. Makes you feel homely. The food was really good :) the rice was so flavorful. The naan was fresh and had that tandoor flavor that I absolutely love. Chicken was tender and juicy! Firni and Mango lassi were perfect. I would say service wise it was ok. There were 2 main ladies who were taking orders and they did not interact a lot which is ok. The owner came in once and checked in on us. Overall we were happy and satisfied. I would recommend everyone to please visit this place! They do have excellent food! Would love to see them filled in with people

It was basically cheap minced beef wrapped around kebab skewers. I couldn't finish it, and my stomach isn't feeling great tonight. The service was awful. They basically dropped the food at our table, and no one checked on us to see if we needed anything until it was time to pay. The ladies' restroom was flooded with toilet water, which tells me a lot about their hygiene standards. I had a good experience here a couple of years ago, but I would never eat here again or recommend this place to my friends.
