    Teriyaki chicken and gyoza combo.
    Brett W.

Uber Eats order. I consider myself a teriyaki expert, so I'm pretty judgmental on my teriyaki chicken orders. Everything tastes super fresh and outside of Hawaiian BBQ places you don't get a lot of macaroni salad sides which is way better than even more rice. Great sauce, great combo of dark greens and tasty dressing.

    Chicken n Beef Combo

As one of a handful of teriyaki joints in the area (heck there is another one across the street), this place is basically right next to Safeway, where I needed to go anyway for some groceries. As I come in, I noticed the place is warm and welcoming with enough tables for several groups of people. There is a nice Asian lady at the counter waiting for me to give her my order. So I ordered the Chicken n Beef Teriyaki Combo($15.99). Comes with rice, salad and macaroni salad. Everything was delicious. The chicken was not dry, the beef was tender, and both salads were really good. The only thing that might be a negative is that the teriyaki sauce is a bit on the saltier side. They have other choices on the menu like Mongolian Beef or Sweet n Sour Chicken if teriyaki isn't your thing. I lean more towards teriyaki because there are probably more Chinese places than teriyaki ones. Store hours are monday through saturday 10:30 am to 9:30 pm. Closed sundays. Pretty nice place for decent teriyaki. I'm sure I will be back to try other selections if i'm not feening for teriyaki. Yelp 2024 Review #1 928 overall

So disappointed to find a hair in my food that I ordered to go‍ This place is definitely falling off.

Ordered food to go. As I was eating my food, I noticed a hair under the chicken, on the rice. Sucks when you're starving and all of a sudden disappointed

    House Fried Rice

Honestly was not really impressed with a few different things and maybe that's my fault for hoping wok dishes would taste decent from a teriyaki place. Mongolian Beef - 2/5 I wouldn't order again. I like my Mongolian been a little more charred and thinner slices. I do love green and white onions so bring it on but this dish had thick slices of beef that was more soft/mushy than crisp. Portion wise it was great and came with a lot of food. House fried rice - 3/5 I usually just order chicken fried rice because I'm always picky with shrimp from places but I guess it wouldn't have mattered because with our HOUSE fried rice we got 3 pieces of shrimp... that was a little bothersome. The other thing I did not like was how large the slices of meat was, basically an entire strip of teriyaki chicken and beef for slices. Didn't take the time to cut it into smaller cubes. Portion wise was also great but we paid extra for house fried rice and got 3 pieces of shrimp so not really worth it. Bottom line is maybe I missed the punch by not ordering teriyaki chicken but I don't think I'll be ordering from here again anytime soon.

Chicken Teriyaki and general tso chicken

It took us 4.5 years of living in Renton to finally try this place. Talk about bang for your buck! The spicy chicken teriyaki is sufficiently spicy! I say that because I don't like anything super spicy where I can't feel my mouth anymore. It has the heat and flavor. The general tso is also mildly spicy but has so much more flavor than just the heat. Also, the batter is not too thick. I do hate it when there's more batter than meat. Lastly, this serving is very generous! One item can be good for two people or for two meals! Oh and this place is so clean and the owners are super nice and just so friendly.

    Bugs on salad

I will NEVER eat here again! There were small black bugs throughout my food today and I had to throw the whole meal away! Disgusting! Reporting to the health department.

Found this yummy place on my fav. site can you guess? Yep it's yelp. The o my place I trust to guild my feeding habits. Came here for lunch, the place was clean and the lady at the counter was super sweet and nice. The food was delightful and the portions where plant big for a fat guy to get full on. Don't be afraid of the strip mall pull in and eat!!

    Mongolian beef

The food was delicious. Fresh and hot. Good quality ingredients and it showed. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Service from friendly and quick. Definitely recommend this place!!

    Dry. Chicken. PASS.
    Robby C.

Used to be so good but not anymore. Bought an order of chicken teriyaki and general tsos. $38. To go. Bring food home. Chicken is dryyyyyyyyyyy and burnt. Even the chicken in the general tso is dry. How is that possible? Deep fried chicken dry? They even put the "salad" in the same to go box as the hot food. Pretty sad. This place was so good too....giving them 2 stars because their mac salad is decent. Won't come back.

No mushrooms in the veggie yakisoba and just lacked flavor and oily as h*ll!!

We tried again a week or so later as my work is close by and we wanted something quick and affordable as we had a comedy show to go to afterwards. As we entered, we were the only ones and we were greeted warmly by the sushi chef and our waitress. Our waitress told us to pick any table we'd like and she brought us menus. Once we had ample time to glance over the menu which honestly had the right amount of items, I got the udon and shrimp tempura while my boyfriend got their Philadelphia roll and chicken katsu. Our waitress asked if we were fine with water and I didn't see a drink section on the menu but they do offer fountain drinks, canned drinks and hot tea. The inside is small but it's cozy and initmate. They have K-pop playing in the background with the music video. There is a good mix of natural lighting from the sun and inside. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. We received our roll and shrimp tempura first, udon next and finally the chicken katsu. The katsu sauce here is one of the best katsu sauce we've ever had as it had a perfect balance of tangy, sweet and savory flavors. There was a lot of katsu and my boyfriend said the only complaint was he wished there was a bit more rice as the ratio was off. I loved my udon, they give a generous portion of fish cakes, fish balls and a piece of shrimp tempura as well as plenty of tempura flakes. I do wish there was a bit more noodles but that was my only real complaint. The shrimp tempura was good but I do wish there was a bit more sauce. My boyfriend's roll was delicious and fresh! Their hot green tea was also comforting and delightful! The service here is pleasant as our waitress was kind and checked in on us often. She was also courteous and professional with other customers. We look forward to coming back whenever we're hungry for good and affordable sushi and Korean food.

The place is cute inside, it was actually very roomy, has a lot of natural light and they had some K-pop videos playing in the background. The restaurant is tucked away near the closed down Old Country Buffett in Kent East Hill. I really should've tried coming here instead of traveling to Renton for some sushi! But I will definitely return for more of their delicious sushi!!! I would definitely give them a try if you're in the area.

The place is very small which makes sense since he only serve 1 group at a time. This might be my personal opinion but Because it's only one group, I hoped it would have been a little more interactive, like the chef could have explained his technique and skills while we were waiting or at least let us see what he was doing. We sat at the bar table but it was blocked by a counter so we couldn't see anything and he didn't talk and we had to wait around 15 minutes for our first dish. Foodwise: 10 piece nigiri --- love the different fishes that was available and all of them has their own distinct texture and flavor. My husband who loves nigiri said it was a fun experience. Scallop inari - scallop was cream and soft and smooth, I think the sweetness was a little overpowering though. Seabass crudo --- for how little there was of the fish itself, there was a lot of olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. After finishing the fish, I was hoping to have some bread to eat more of the oil. Special maguro don--- I love this dish - the fish melts in your mouth, the rice went well with the fish and the wasabi was delicious. Price was also very reasonable for the quality of fish. Overall, it was a good experience, I definitely would recommend

Obviously came here for the tonkatsu and it did not disappoint. The pork had a really crispy coating on the outside without being greasy, while the inside was still juicy and tender. You can tell they actually care about getting the texture right because it had that perfect crunch with every bite. Even after sitting for a little while, it never got super soggy. I also really liked that the meal came with everything you need on the side. The cabbage helped balance out the heavier fried food, and switching between the different sauces and sides kept the meal from feeling repetitive. At first I thought the portion didn't look THAT huge, but halfway through I realized I was definitely going to be full lol. Service was really good too. Everyone was friendly when we came in and our server explained a few things on the menu since we weren't completely sure what to order. Food came out at a good pace, our table stayed clean, and they checked on us enough without making us feel rushed. The restaurant itself is pretty cozy and straightforward. Nothing overly fancy, which I actually liked because the food is clearly the main focus here. Definitely understand why people recommend this place now. If you're craving tonkatsu and want something crispy, filling, and actually well made, Kobuta & Ookami is worth checking out. Already thinking about what I'm going to order next time.

Came on a Wednesday around 1:00 PM and there was no line and no issues parking in the lot…read more Menu has many options of pork cuts and other proteins like chicken and shrimp. I love Japanese curry, and was so stoked to see such a unique curry on the menu (made with dark chocolate so it gives a richer flavor). $5 more to add shredded cabbage and miso soup; I definitely think this is worth it because there's no other fresh greens in the entree. It helps cut the heavy, fried-ness of the katsu and provides a different texture. My shrimp (ebi) katsu curry was so flaky and crispy, which is so hard to find at katsu shops where the breading is cakey and falls off the protein. However, the shrimp to flakes ratio was off and I could hardly taste the shrimp or know when I bit shrimp versus the flakes because there was so much breading. This wasn't a problem for the pork katsu, though! The portion size is massive; half the plate is rice, and the other half is the curry. For $29 for the shrimp katsu ($34 total pre tax and tip after adding the shredded cabbage and miso soup combo), I think it's worth the price if you're starving or sharing. I think it'd be cool if they did a protein combo where you pick two proteins, especially because they have a variety of pork options. This would help people justify their cost while tasting more of the menu with less overwhelming commitment. Servers are kind and attentive, and they don't rush you when you order or need more time. The interior is beautiful and well-lit with bar seating, tables and booths, and high top tables too. I'd come again if I wanted to share a katsu entree with a friend!
