My mother insisted on taking me out for lunch during one of my days off, however there are not many good Vietnamese restaurants in Federal Way but I remember coming to Lang Viet before with my family and it was pretty good. Good thing Yelp reminded me that it's not too far from my mother's house. The restaurant was nice decorated as if it's a small village in Vietnam with alot of cute decors. There's a good amount of space and seating in there, plenty of parking as it shares a complex with other stores. The service was exceptional, the staff was really attentive and friendly. The food was decently portioned and well-priced. It tastes authentic, flavorful and fulfilling. I would totally come back here and recommend you to try it out if you haven't already. They have some stuff on the menu that's very intriguing that I already want to come back to try.

Pork vermicelli, chicken green mango salad and chicken lemongrass (?) (see receipt in photo) delicious

I included the receipt with what we ordered in the photo. Everything was excellent. We ordered a mix of dishes, including the grilled chicken, grilled pork, and lemongrass chicken bún bowls, and every one of them was excellent. The meats were flavorful, tender, and nicely grilled with that perfect char that adds so much flavor. The fresh herbs, crisp vegetables, and noodles all tasted fresh and balanced everything out really well. The sauces tied it all together and made each bowl even better. Nothing felt heavy or overly salty--just fresh, satisfying, and genuinely well made. You can tell care goes into the food here. Definitely one of those meals where everyone at the table keeps saying, "Try this one." Will absolutely be back

I had been searching for a similar broken rice dish like the popular Vietnam House restaurant in Seattle Chinatown district once served in the early 2010s: the kind of broken rice dish that would have pork chop, shredded pork skin, fried egg, fried shrimp meat on sugar cane, and fried bean curd roll. Well, the only thing that was missing from this broken rice dish from Lang Viet is shredded pork skin, but yah know what? They still got other ingredients on that dish (look at my picture!) that would make it super acceptable. Just letting you know that this establishment is like no others... the restaurant interior looking clean & fancy. There is a bar for you to sit as well. It's a full bar, y'all. Additionally, I enjoyed looking at the decor corner, where it's being decked-out like a little village entrance and there is a literal corner with the old-fashion Vietnamese concession stand. Additionally, the service was good on the day I came in. I am not sure how it is when the restaurant is slammed busy, but I thought the lone server that provided service for me was really nice and even talked to me in Vietnamese. Let's talk about the food since I want to yelp about it. I ordered fresh spring rolls and special combo broken rice dish. Everything was really delicious, and I finished everything. My belly was happy on that day. I will definitely come back to this place in the future with my hubby!

Very authentic. Taste very close to what my mom made. Brought back wonderful memories. Excellent service. Tried new things a second time and both times did not disappoint. Will be going back again.

One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants to go to. If I'm not getting a bowl of pho I will get the Com thō láng viēt with their lemongrass limeade soda! The food is also cooked fresh. The service is top tier and the ambiance of the restaurant is amazing. There definitely spots for you to take pictures

Service is great! Everyone is always welcoming and friendly. I love their banh mi and bun bo hue. Their Vietnamese coffee is DELICIOUS and strong. If you're shopping in the plaza, i reccomend trying this spot out.

I was really excited to try Lang Viet, but the food was not impressive. To start off with positives: It's located in a grocery shopping lot, so it was nice to find parking easily. Lang Viet also did a great job with their interior decor and it makes you forget that you are in Washington. The service was very friendly. I ordered the Vietnamese yogurt drink which was tart, creamy, and delicious. We ordered the Bo La Lot and Banh Xeo. The Bo La Lot was not memorable. It was dry and lacked the smoky, grilled aroma that I am accustomed to. I would not recommend the Banh Xeo. Instead of being crispy/crunchy, it was soggy and flavorless. Overall, I did not like the food enough to come back and would not recommend it.

Our pho was delicious alongside our spring rolls. The service was quick and our server was very kind. He even gave us some skincare tips because his skin was absolutely flawless! I LOVED the interior of this place! Their design and decor are centered on showcasing Vietnamese culture and is one of the main reasons why I enjoyed eating inside this place. This is my partner and his family's go-to pho spot - and may have to be included in my list as well.

Ambiance: my group and I went here for lunch and we absolutely loved the decor! It had a very tropical feel with the live plants and straw roof. It was an intimate but also fun atmosphere. The menu is extensive I'll have to try them all. Food: We all enjoy our meal thoroughly. My beef stew was so delicious, that deep beef flavor with the carrots. The pieces of beef were succulent and they even had bonus pieces of tendon. The bread, it was baked to order warm and crispy. Absolutely divine. Service: there was only one server but he was quick and efficient. They did bring out a plate of chicken fried rice instead of the tofu but the meal was prepared quickly so there wasn't too much of a complaint.

Lang Viet was delicious and great for family-style sharing. We shared two of the Khay Cuon Lang Viet trays which were the highlight of the meal. We also had the Com Tho Lang Viet which was a chicken clay pot fried rice. The rice was flavored very well and would definitely get again. The Goi Lang Viet salad was refreshing and we also had the Bo La Lot. Overall portions were generous and service was great! Hidden gem for Viet food out in Kent.

My friend and I met up here for dinner. We chose this place because their menu was a bit different and more interesting than the usual Vietnamese menu, and their cocktails sounded good. We started off with the Mot Hai Ba Dzo, the cocktai with Hennessy and tamarind puree; it was yummy. I ordered the Khay Cuoa Lang Viet (vermicelli tray with the assorted meats) and my friend ordered the Canh Chua (sour soup). Both were sharing sizes, so we had leftovers. Prices were good for the amount you get. My dish was delicious. The meats were seasoned well. Lots of veggies. The rice paper were small, not the normal size we use for spring rolls, so it took a little more work to keep rolling these small rolls that you couldn't fit too much in. My friend also really liked her soup. We tried another cocktail, the Tram Phan Tram (100٪), which was also yummy. Cute restaurant with cute decor, and service was great. My friend and I already want to come back to try more dishes.

They tasted fresh and delicious as a great way to start the meal. I also ordered a grilled pork banh mi. The sandwich tasted great and had a nice balance of sweet and heat with the jalapeños. It had generous amounts of pork, pickled carrots, cucumbers, cilantro and jalapeños. Together, the flavors came together nicely. It is one of the best ones I've had. The ambiance was modern, nice and clean. They had nice background music playing. The employees that waited on me were nice and friendly. Their service was also good. Looking at the menu, they offer several noodle and rice dishes as well as pho. I like the number options available and look forward to trying other menu items in the future.

Vermicelli was a 3.5 as it was fresh and a good serving (4) but the grilled pork was on the cooler side and didn't taste as crisp and fresh off the grill as you'd expect (3). Best part of the pho was the broth as it wasn't too salty like it can be sometimes elsewhere (4). Veggies were super fresh. Sliced beef was previously sliced and the whole chunk was placed in so you had to tease apart the slices from each other which was a little different than my experiences elsewhere. SKIP THE SPRING ROLLS. Picture had three shrimps/roll. Ours had 1/roll on one side with a slice of pork (I think) on the other. Seemed pretty skimpy if you ask me (2.5 at best). Service was good (4). Location was in a small strip mall with a Mexican and Indian place next door. The bars over nearly the entire front storefront were definitely interesting. For an out-of-towner, this part of Kent seems like a Santa Ana/Westminister/Garden Grove of OC, CA kind of an area with different ethnic offerings up and down the street.

Luckily I saw Pho T & L was open and I've had this place saved for a while so this was the best timing to try them out. We arrived and it was pretty busy and we weren't sure if we seated ourselves or someone else seats us as it took a few minutes for us to get noticed. After a little of standing awkwardly near the entrance, someone noticed us and motioned us to sit near the check out area which you do need to go up and pay rather than wait for someone to drop off a check. We were given waters and menus and given a decent amount of time to decide what we wanted. My friends got a lemonade with tea, Thai tea, shaking beef and combo vermicelli while my boyfriend got the shaking beef and egg rolls and I got the Bun Bo Hue and spring rolls. My boyfriend got his egg rolls and I didn't get my spring rolls until after everyone's' order came in so I have a feeling that the employee who took our order forgot or the kitchen forgot. There was no apology or anything for it either. I got my food first, after several minutes the shaking beef came out and after another a while my friend got his vermicelli bowl. Luckily we weren't pressed for time but it made it awkward as we didn't get our food at the same time and it took a bit to get them. I am a slow eater so I guess it worked out that I got mine first but I also didn't receive my spring rolls until I brought it up once we received everything else. The food was phenomenal and our friends said their drinks were perfect too. I did enjoy my Bun Bo Hue, though I did make it a bit more spicier with their chili oil. They have plenty of tables and chairs to accommodate all party sizes. They do have a bathroom but you have to go through a long, scary hallway to get to it. The tables have probably the cutest container for their chili oil but I appreciate that they have napkins, sriracha, hoisin, and utensils on the table. The employees don't really check in often and they didn't really come by to fill our waters until we were down with our meal. The service was also pretty much non-existent, it wasn't rude but just felt rushed and cold.
