I was introduced to the esthetician Janelle through a raffle that I won at my yoga studio. This free facial was right on time because I have been on the search for an esthetician closer to my house. I had the best experience at AfterGlo Skincare and I plan to continue being a patron. The salon is conveniently located in Edgewood/Inman park area and has parking onsite. I opted to extend my free 30 minute facial to an hour facial with extractions. It was so relaxing! The ambiance was great and the music played was very calming. Janelle is extremely knowledgeable and did wonders for my skin! I saw a noticeable difference in my skin following my appointment with her. She uses Rhonda Allison products which I was not very familiar with prior to my appointment. Janelle is super knowledgeable, thorough and gentle with skin. Upon my first visit, a thorough analysis of my skin was done to assess the situation and see what my needs were. That was my very first facial and the start of my ongoing relationship with AfterGlo. Janelle is absolutely amazing! I first tried her Afterglo facial in October, and the experience was absolutely phenomenal. First off, Janelle is delightful and this reflects in all aspects of her service. From the beginning to the end, I immediately felt relaxed and that my skin was in great hands. She not only targeted my problem areas through facial mapping, she also made very helpful (and when implemented they were spot on) suggestions on how to eliminate my problem areas. Not to mention she's flexible and understanding (as I had to reschedule an appointment last minute due a meeting). So I went here a couple of weeks ago and the aesthetics were great. I like that she (cannot remember her name but she's amazing) kept in connect with up until my appointment and let me know she would text when it's okay to come upstairs. She had me wash my hands and wear a mask and for the consultation we were 6ft apart. Although when doing the facial obvi only one of us could be in a mask the safety steps were taken seriously. Now the facial itself was amazing, relaxing and left me so refreshingly awake. She was very knowledgeable and her personality felt like one of my homegirls was giving me a facial. I felt so good and looked so glowy I was in the area and had lunch and finally took a walk across the street at the historical cemetery(which is beautifully educational). I was lucky enough to win a free facial with Janelle through a local raffle and was so so pleased with my experience at AfterGlo. Janelle was very communicative and flexible (and understanding when I got turned around and was a little late). Her spa is located in the back basement level of a house-turned-spa so she has her own parking and easy entrance. The space was small but very clean and tranquil. It is tucked back away very close to Krog Street market and was an easy walk within the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. Janelle sat me down to talk about my skin prior to starting the facial and then walked me through what steps we would be taking during my facial. I loved the scent of everything she used and felt so relaxed the entire time. Throughout the facial, she also gave me tips for home skincare and answered the many questions I had! Janelle played great music throughout the facial and made sure she had answered all of my questions before I left. I'm in ATL for work for about 6 months. Im from LA and have an excellent aesthetician there so I'm really picky when finding a new one. I tried a couple skincare places in the area but was a bit disappointed and always compared them to my aesthetician back home. Until I met Janelle from Afterglo. First off... her reviews on Yelp are stellar and very accurate. She addresses all your skincare needs. Mine personally are acne and anti aging. My skin glows after her treatments and she is quite gently with extractions. Her massage technique is awesome and she is well educated and in the know for skin related issues. I did the anti aging treatment ( radio frequency) and it was incredible. I def will be going back soon. Best of Inman Park!! I started going to AfterGlo last Spring to prepare for my September wedding and I am thrilled I found this neighborhood gem. Janelle is absolutely fantastic at assessing my skincare needs and customizing a facial "just for me!" My face is brighter, softer, and more even toned.
